  1. Sometimes it's a lot easier to like the animals. TPM Sister #102
  2. It's all good over here, thanks! TPM Sister #102
  3. I wasn't going to mention that. . . . TPM Sister #102
  4. It's made its rounds via email a couple times this year. Probably got posted earlier but I just don't remember. If YOU can't remember, then it can't be that egregious of a repost! (I hope not, anyway.) You see and know all that happens on dz.com! TPM Sister #102
  5. I'm glad you liked it! Sounds like it's starting to make the rounds on the internet (or maybe it's just making the rounds again), but its still a sweet story. Simplyputsi's version seems to have a little more footage, too. TPM Sister #102
  6. I think that's a DIFFERENT video. TPM Sister #102
  7. I know, I do, too! You can see him processing everything and then it's just joy. I love it that animals are capable of having those deep ties with humans, and I'm so glad they decided to go visit even though they didn't expect to see Christian or that Christian would recognize them if they did. TPM Sister #102
  8. I'll bet they do! You must be dangerous. . . . I know, it's a warm fuzzy story for the Bonfire today but I go for those every time. TPM Sister #102
  9. http://www.snopes.com/photos/animals/christian.asp I liked this one and a search didn't immediately show other posts on it so I'm hoping it's not a repost. TPM Sister #102
  10. I love that she loved the sensation! She didn't just jump; she lived it.
  11. Your best bet might just be to check out some of the different providers and see what features their phones have. At one time, Sprint had a phone with a nicely-sized display that you could set up to have a very large font for easier viewing. Finding large keys could be harder. TPM Sister #102
  12. Funny how dogs have a way of completing a family and how conspicuous it is when they're gone. I'm so sorry. Those bonds are special. TPM Sister #102

LOL! No, I don't do employment law--no worries! I didn't mean to make the thread about the pictures. I can certainly appreciate the desire to select the right person for the job and to bring the skill along behind. I think a lot more successful business relationships could be cultivated by maintaining a willling-to-train-the-right-person approach. I still don't see how photos are going to help make that determination, but it's not my agenda to cry discrimination, either. I've never heard anything negative about Bedford and I'm not trying to put that on you now. It's what you do with the pictures that matters. So, what IS the right kind of applicant for the job? 15. I voted for puppies but was searching for the "bunnies" option as well, so that's my write-in vote. TPM Sister #102
  16. Actually, this is a great point! I have an older mother who was very steady on her feet until recently, when she started cancer treatment and had surgery. She now wobbles a bit more than she used to but isn't willing to regularly use a cane or a walker. This would be a good suggestion for her, in the event that she has any missteps and wasn't something I had thought about before. TPM Sister #102
  17. That's understandable. I'm so sorry! It's heartbreaking to have to go through these things. I wish things were different. TPM Sister #102
  18. I'm so sorry to hear that! Fortunately, I have no personal experience with that sort of thing but we do have a veterinary specialist clinic here in Colorado with a practice group devoted to oncology. You might check to see if you have something comparable that's local--or call our facility here for a local referral. http://www.vrcc.com/oncology/ TPM Sister #102

I agree! There's nothing wrong with wanting to present a professional image. It just makes it seem that they are planning to assess an applicant's qualifications based on how they look in a photo. I've seen some instructors who are amazing flyers and coaches but that you'd never guess were so good if you just ran into them on the street. A photo of those instructors would never tell you how they might perform on the job. I would think that most applicants would be reasonably presentable and it's interesting that they would want to assess appearance even before a face-to-face meeting. In any event, it was just something that struck me when reading the post. I'm not trying to take away from the ad or to knock Bedford. It's just an unusual request. TPM Sister #102
  20. I didn't know which post to bump because ice cream seems to come up fairly regularly in conversation around here, but I recently discovered the Haagen Dazs Reserve line of ice cream (thank you, Steven!) and felt that it was a moral obligation to share this discovery with the world: http://www.haagen-dazs.com/reserve/ TPM Sister #102

Not that I'm interested in applying, but what's the photo for? Are they really worried about their instructors looking good on the dvds and all the videos that get posted on YouTube? All of that aside, though, it's a great opportunity for someone who really wants to instruct! TPM Sister #102
  22. Have a WONDERFUL day! I think you need to give that new canopy a work out in celebration. TPM Sister #102
