Skypilot replied to ShaggyFord's topic in Instructors
I have made over 1600 tandems on strong containers and they are a functional syustem . There are other systems out there *I would personally buy for myself but give my a good strong over a poorly maintained rig from another manufacturer any time.Thats witha good main too. Go big! -

I have left my metal in. In 2003 the doctors at Royal Brisbane hospital gave me the choice. They said they were going to start leaving metal in unless it caused pain as there was no proof of it making things worse in the case of another accident. So guess i will c if i crash again . Go big!

My handicam has never flown into me. I have never had to wait to throw the drougue because the glove was on my back. Handicam means that more skydivers can be full time professionals and do a better job at work each day! By the way . I do outside camera too. Before I went full time I did and got every rating I could. Handicam is another skill that I use as part of being a full time skydiver. Go big!

I find it quite easy to add to the briref that I will get them to stand on my feet and loosen the leg straps a little under canopy. Once this is done they can lift a knee and slide the leg strap towards it. Feet end up by their ears for landing! Go big!

It6s a great gig when you are injured and can't go skydiving! Go big! -
All the questions asked are doubts I had before I became a hand cam regular. I had over a 1000 tandems before I put the glove on and it is a part of regular routine on every tandem now. I have over 500 tandems with handcam now. I have had 2 malfunctions wearing handcam and I can offer a product which I know from experience some people prefer to outside camera. Each to their own. Just gives the customer another option. Go big!

I have 2100 tandem jumps and of those about 1600 are on Icarus. Mainly on the 365 with about 300 on the 330. I stand up a very high percentage of my landings and believe the more loaded they are the better they fly. I would take a 330 Icarus any day. Go big!

How far have you driven to a boogie
Skypilot replied to pa2themd's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I am about to do a 3200 kilometre trip from mission beach in queensland to moruya in new south wales australia for the boogie there. I know of some friends who drove from brisbane australia to the territory rel week near darwin and that s about 4500 kilometres. There is nothing like a good road trip to a boogie and back. Go big! -
I worked at Fri in 2001. A season pass then was 18000 swedish kroner. a jump was 125 kroner but if you bought blocks of tickets they came back to 80 kroner each. at the time 1 aussie dollar was 5.3 kroner so jumping was cheap. Go big!

I agree with a lot of things said in this post! I would just encourage anyone thinking about 270's not rush it! I had 800 jumps on my cross brace before I started doing 270's! Now on my vx looaded at 2.3 it is my stock turn 700 cross brace jumps later!Take your time and make lots of landings!Learn to fly your canopy in deep brakes, dont be another statistic! U got the rest of your life to learn! Go big!

Skypilot replied to cpoxon's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Good on the guys involved! I work down under and the most I know of any one doing over here in a day is 17 and yes it was out of a 182 but with packers! I have down 15 in a day not packing and done 12 in a day 2 times packing by myself! They do big numbers in New Zealand with packers and a cresco! Go big! -
