It's an interesting phenomenon that the more stupid the decision-maker, the higher they get promoted, and more incompetence earns them more responsibilities. Saw it MSNBC that Microsoft got robbed of $9 million by an insider. This guy sure beat the $3.7 million from 2001. The one common thing these culprits did was splurge their loot. I think this is what gave them away. So you come across a legitimate payoff, huge. You've never seen that much money in your life, things change, you could finally afford stuff. Yet, you'd expect that one might save out of habit. So I'm guessing that the same would apply to looting. But to spend the loot on exotic cars - plural, yacht, ++? Sure they kept their mouths shut, it's their lifestyle was on a megaphone. So say you come across a large sum of money - legal or not it doesn't matter. How would you spend it or save it? And on what? For me, I'd keep it low-profile and gradually change my lifestyle limited to 1 upgrade a year. Example: Trade in my '92 Escort for a '98 Mustang GT. if you're gonna play, you gotta pay . Haven't heard about the anti-competitive thing between Apple and MS. Being a monopoly is anti-competitive in itself. talk about skining Linux, have you checked out enlightenment? That's a GUI. My other ride is the relative wind.

I'll have to agree with narcimund. And if Linux doesn't kick Microsoft's butt, Apple just might. Here's an interesting read. BTW, The core of OS X "Darwin" is open source and porting it to x86 has been happening. The GUI called "Aqua" however is not open source, but check out XDarwin - it's quite near Aqua. The cool thing about OS X too, is that you may be able to compile and run open source projects. With a little work that is. My other ride is the relative wind.
