Yeah...not to sure on why they would take such valuable items such as my fucking gear. Maybe they under estimated how hard it would be to resell it. Just because something may cost more than "most of our own veihicles", doesn't mean you can sell it off. Its this awesome group called "skydivers" that keeps things like this from happening. I have said it many times and will say it again, thank all of you!!! If I stand on my tip toes, I can see the weekend from here!

I do know this...one of the 4 people is a young woman 6 months pregnant with twins. She was busted in IN early January and because of her situation they are cutting her a deal if she talked. So there you have it. That's how we found our gear. If I stand on my tip toes, I can see the weekend from here!

I do consider myself lucky and very fortunate! I'm sorry you never received your gear back. That suck's!! If you like...you can go to our web site skydiveky.com and post it on our lost or stolen page. I know its been a long time but you never know. I never thought the day would come when I get to call USPA, and a lot of other people involved in helping me get my gear back and say, "thanks, but I don't need your help anymore. We found my gear!!!" I have had so many people helping me out with this and I want to thank each and every one of you. I have had so many offers with people wanting to loan me gear just so I can get back up in the air. People offering me money to put towards new gear (to which I did not take.) And even people offering to help hold these fuckers down so I can do what ever in the hell I wanted to do to them. You guys are truly the best!!! And the cool thing about it, I don't even know most of you. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! Now maybe I can meet with you on a jump sometime.

Now it's "Did any of them used to be jumpers?" cuz there's no way they could show face at a DZ again NJ...don't worry, I plan on putting their names and faces on here when I get them. Also, there was a lot of stuff that was not ours. If any of you are from the TN, KY, OH, IN area it may belong to you. Just send me a PM and I will help you findout if it is. There was a total of 4 rigs, a bonehead camera helmet, Z1 camera helmet, Canon 10D dig camera, Sony TRV, Sony cyber shot, FAA radio, student radios returned. They did not find my brand new Sony HC36 but thats okay. I at least have my rig back. There are still a lot of items missing but we got back whats important. The answer to your question, YES!!! There was a total of 4 ppl arrested. Our gear was found in a small apartment in Louisville, KY with a lot of other stuff as well. It was a part of a ring situation. QuoteQuoteIf the kid(s) are raised properly, then you shouldn't have to worry about "spanking". That is a ridiculous statement. Quote Why don't you read my post again. I NEVER SAID, "if kids were raised properly, then you shouldn't have to worry about spanking". I'm not going to rewrite again what I had to for mnealtx. If you want my response, then read what I said to mnealtx. If I stand on my tip toes, I can see the weekend from here!

Like I said, I don't think spanking is wrong when warranted. But I do think it needs to be the VERY last resort. Time after time we all see parents "spanking" out of frustration instead of a true way to discipline. Parents spank the child and then follow it with a certain punishment (like no computer for a week) but never follow through with the punishment. All I am saying is if you are going to discipline a child with spanking; spank, discipline and make sure you follow through. Don't leave it at just the spanking. This to me shows that its okay to be violent. Your revised post, I agree with - thanks for clarifying. NP

I disagree with the premise of "if you have to spank, then you aren't raising your kids properly" - there are some kids that don't or won't respond to other measures. Spanking isn't going to show a kid that "violence is okay". Not teaching them the difference between punishment and violence? That's a failure in parenting. If you want a kid to grow up thinking violence is okay, then by all means...spank away. As an adult...I love to be spanked!! If I stand on my tip toes, I can see the weekend from here!

QuoteI’m curious what about an elliptical you are concerned with. And please describe “more flight characteristic”.Quote Well to my understanding, an elliptical is a fully tapered canopy. And with that you get some pretty agreesive step dives and if your not careful could put you into line twist fast. I understand the wing loading has a lot to do with this as well. But at the same time, I am wanting something in the 120 area which does have shorter line sets would could contribute to a lot of potential problems if you're not familiar with this type of flying. The flight characteristics I am looking for are the same sweet openings I get with the Spectre. Something with less front riser pressure. (I'm working on those 180's and being a small framed woman is hard for me sometimes). I'm also wanting something that is not going to pull out of my turn to quickly like the Stiletto (sp) does. I want a canopy that if I get screwed on a load and need to use my rear risers to get me back that the canopy is going to help out a little. I also would like to go back to a 9-cell. I love my Spectre don't get me wrong, I'm just ready to advance my skills to something a little more. And I can't do that with a Spectre. If I stand on my tip toes, I can see the weekend from here!
