Oh yeah I forgot one important aspect of the weekend. Lots of alcoholic beverages were consumed.

Wow this weekend was seriously the best of my life.. I did my first four solo jumps after PFF and MAN.. It was SO awesome. First one was crazy... I did a bunch of back loops on the exit! It was so fun.. Then under canopy I wasnt really paying so much attention to the wind... Well.. Its a lot stronger when I got lower... So I saw this guy Andrew land pretty far away from the DZ and though wow I should start heading back.. Well i get on heading towards the DZ and I am going backwards!! SHIT. So I just leave my canopy pointing towards the DZ so I dont land too far away and then I go over top some trees... UGH It was crazy. the wind blew me over two farmers fields and then I wouldve landed on these trees so I had to turn and go over this highway and land in a field full of cows.. When I landed they all turned and were staring at me... It was crazy I just grabbed my chute as fast as I could and took off towards the fence.. Well it was a barbed wire fence so I was wandering along the side of it for like ten minutes then this lady that lives across the highway pulls her truck in and opens some gate for me and gives me a ride back to the DZ.. Haha shes like Tell mike (Owner) that he owes us a lot of beer now.. It was quite the expirience. The second jump I did a ride the slide exit which was I think the funnest exit so far. During freefall I did a front loop, back loop and then tracked for a bit. It was great. Third jump I went with the guy who actually got me into skydiving that I worked with.. We docked on the way down for a few seconds it was SO awesome. Jumping with other people is great. Espeically when they arent holding on to you like in PFF. I feel a lot more comfortable by myself. Then on the landing I stood up and the wind pulled me backwards and I had to fight it down. Thats fun. The last jump I did a dive out exit! MAN there are so many things I want to try now.. Anyways once I got stable this jump I wanted to try sitflying.. Well holy its harder than I thought. I tried it at least five times and every time once I got right into the sit I flipped over sideways and went back into my arch. IT was still fun! OH YEAH this jump I rode on a PD 190 canopy instead the 288 mantas.. OK right before I pulled my goggles flew off and that was crazy. So I pulled and this canopy is SO awesome. When you pull the front risers it actually does somethign! its great! So I was spinning around everywhere.. The landing was good too I stood up! I actually think that now my first canopy will be for sure either a 170 or 150.. Probably 150 though. OH and I also bought a jumpsuit.. Just a nice used one for 40 bucks. MAN this is SO awesome. I cant wait till saturday!!!! .. . ... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh yeah is anybody from Saskatchewan, Alberta or BC that will be going on that Canadian Invasion trip this January to Arizona? I think when I go Im gonna just stay there till summer up here. hhahaha. Bye.

Hmm... Well I listen to everything. I try not to limit myself to one similar sounding type of music it really gets boring after awhile. I don't know I don't like labelling my music so much... Really I just listen to whatever sounds good to me you know?

What do you think would happen if instead of retaliating helped Afghanistan? Put an effort in to helping the middle east countries not sanctioning them and getting them on their feet. Instead of using the money to attack them use it to help them... I know the countries with the oil don't want to follow the oil union thing whatever it is rules and want to sell their oil dirt cheap and kind of ruin it for us... Which is somewhat of the reason why the US has been bombing there lately and sanctioning.. But.. Does their decision to sell their oil at a different price than the set price of some thought up union to "keep the economy in place" even give us the right to do that? It keeps our economy well yeah but it fucks over those countries that have evenmore oil than us. Do you know how much cheaper gas would even be if AAAAUGH now im getting off topic.. Anyways I brought up the oil topic because that is one reason to not help them because they wont follow those rules set by the union.. But do we have the authority to dictate what they should price their oil at? Not really in a sense... But even if we did help them under agreement that they would follow rules set by the union i dont see how bad things could com eof it... One thing... I dont think Pakistan will suffer in all this, Already there are over a million Afghan refugess in Pakistan.. Pakistan is cooperating with the US and has even mobilized troops to the border not letting anymore Afghanistans into Pakistan.. If Afghanistan doesnt hand Bin Laden over to the US Pakistan is letting America use their airspace. Just thought I'd mention that. Isn't that sad that they are trying to escape their country for fear of being bombed and they now can't even get out?

Hi.. Im about 6 ft tall and weigh ummm 165 lbs. I think. Haven't weighed myself in a long while but that was what it registered last. I'm nineteen years old and I guess I would consider myself fit.. So if I went with a 170 foot canopy my ratio would be a little less than 1:1.. Crazy. I really cant wait... Also phreezone is the trip you take in the winters down to skydive arizona? Last weekend I was speaking to some people at my DZ about an annual trip everybody from around here takes to arizona from something like Jan 10 to Jan 24.... I'll be going!

Hey, Yeah I realize I need to learn all that. The thing is though I kind of wanted to get something that will last me awhile.. So I didn't really want to get a huge canaopy. I'm already sick of this big one I've been using.. Oh yeah I wasn't trying to swoop those landings! Just around 3k in the air. I've been doing pretty good with my landings only ever not stood up once which was my first jump. So Im happy with that. Also the money issue is that I'm using Canadian money.. So it's not worth as much. I was thinking something like a 170 or 190? Also what are the ratios you guys are giving me? I have no idea what something like 1:1:1 is. hah. Colin

Okokok Im fairly new here to skydiving.. Only seven jumps. Ive been addicted and can see I'm not going to stop skydiving at any time soon here.. Since I just finished my PFF and will be having my first solo jump next weekend that makes things even better for me... Now what I really am looking into is getting my own rig... The thing is. Every single jump I make costs me an additional 25 dollars just in gear rental. So if I make on average 4 jumps every weekend that costs me 400 dollars every month. If I take out a 3000 dollar loan and pay if off within a year that leaves me with payments each month less than 300 dollars. So now not only do I pay less but have my own gear that I know and can use consistently. Does that make sense? So now that I pretty much know I want to get buy some 'new' used gear does anybody have any suggestions for a first setup? I really want to get into freeflying type stuff like headdown and whatnot and swooping.. I don't know how small of a canopy is good for doing swoop landing but whenever I try frontriser turns with the huge 288 sq. ft. canopies you can rent at my dz they don't do a whole lot. But maybe i could be doing it wrong. So three thousand dollars for a used rig? Is that alright for a first setup? Any suggestions? Any input is appreciated. Thanks! Colin

Hmmm.. My opinions on the articles. Well. I think in the first one the kid rationalizes everything in order to make it sound like the US is at a win win situation pretty much whatever the case. Which... isn't that at all. Both countries will end up losing badly in the end. Nothing good comes from violence. The second one by the older guy seems a little immature for his age. If you really think about it this whole situation it is just gang type stuff on another level. How can you justify retaliation between countries when everybody is against gangs doing the same thing within a country. Yeah that analogy may be a bit different but essentially its the same thing. What is so different between gangs and a nation? The only thing I kind of see is that a gang is within a nation but on a much smaller level. They also don't try and make themselves look smarter and justify the extremely stupid actions they make. I think the consensus can come to an agreement that gang violence is stupid. How can one say then that it is right for countries to fight one another? It's like a city with gangs... An earth with countries. Wow. It's not so hard to see here. Gangs have their colors, pride, territory, own little markets... Each city has its own gangs as the earth has it's nations. Gangs seem to be just imitating the big guns but are NOT ALLOWED TO DO THAT. Hey I'm not all crusading for gangs here but I'm just saying each are equally stupid. Or maybe that didn't make any sense at all. Colin
