Started out as an RN and now an ARNP.....we have a "weekend" dz only so it wasn't too bad really as I got to jump every other weekend during the summer.....being supplemental worked well as I could make myself available for weekend call on sunday or friday and have all day sat and sun for jumping. I currently work one day every weekend but will change to no weekend coverage come May when our jump season opens......this will be a great jumping year for me - at least I will be able to jump more than I have in the past. Me and doc make our own schedules.....we jump at a weekend DZ so we have weekends off during the summer but work most of them during the winter - and of course if we want to go to a boogie we take that time off as well. In our area we are seeing a lot of "everything" -hpv, herpes, gonorhea, chlamydia and trich. I do a lot of education with the young girls - that is mostly who I see - about different ways to protect themselves and their partners - some days it is scary. You need to go and talk to your instructors about that logic of yours to get it fixed. Look at the information coming out of virtually every reputable canopy coach and manufacturer who are all saying that small canopies (ie. anything under a 150) is still dangerous for an inexperienced pilot at *any* wing loading. this is pretty much what I was told...anything under a 150 is considered "higher performance" I don't usually say a whole lot in these threads as I am a newbie - but I am also one those people who will be on the team trying to resuscitate that person who goes in - lately with all of these threads I have been shaking my head alot and saying a lot of prayers for those who are low time jumpers with high wingloadings as well as for those who are jumping with them.| DPH # 2 "I am not sure what you are suppose to do with that, but I don't think it is suppose to flop around like that." ~Skootz~ I have a strong regard for the rules.......doc!

Is it just me, or does this seem to indicate that the data is skewed to anyone else??? The girls are apparently 14-18. Most adolescent girls don't see an OBGYN (and therefore have swabs done) UNLESS they are sexually active or have some type of problem. I *think* the recommended age to start seeing an OBGYN is 26, or upon becoming sexually active. I know there are other reasons to start going to an OBGYN, but just based on this I wouldn't really trust this sample popluation as being indicative of the entire US population. I don't know though, maybe the girls who participated just had swabs done specifically for the study. If that's the case I'd question where they got the girls who participated and if they're truly representative of the entire US population. Maybe it is valid. I sat down and figured about how many times I got laid in 28 years of marriage and divided it by the approximately 1.3 million bucks the divorce cost me, and I came up with about $750 per fuck.
