Ugh...Spokane. Wasn't there, WAY back in the day, a DZ out by Cat Tales? That was the mead airport....they moved from there out to davenport quite a while ago....now we are moving to ritzville, but it is a private airport surrounded by two farmers who love skydivers so it will be a good move for the DZ. For that same reason I refuse to wear a tie in the hospital as well. It will either hang down onto each patient's body or bed when I am over them or it will spend its time stuffed into my shirt where it doesn't do a good job of improving my wardrobe; its only other function. It is funny that you mention that. I read an article recently about how providers are no longer allowed to wear jewelry, ties in the hospitals in england. I more worry about stethescopes and that sort of thing, but the study sited that ties do attribute to the spread of bacteria.. ...since your mentioning sore throats....I have only seen about 20-30 patients with that this week....not one of them got antibiotics because none of them had strept - which is the only time I prescribe abx for a sorethroat ....lets just say I was the least popular provider in the clinic and had left several people unhappy......all of them wanted antibiotics. the other problem with mrsa is that there are two major strains...hospital acquired and community acquired....nasty little bugs too. Most of what I have seen has been in the skin, but there are patients' out there who get it in their lungs....and it is deadly when it is systemic. Kara's pieing on sunday was classic as well......they actually carried her out of the hanger and her dad got to be one of the people who pied her........sorry that I missed Rosie's but was glad to see Kara's. Doc will be coming up on 400 so I may have to get creative. Missed you this weekend again Vint! Yeah, winter is hitting up here too. Was about 5 degrees at altitude this last weekend and had to bring out the woolies. Extended forecast for sandiego is looking awesome....we get down there on the 22nd......6 days and counting...and yes, we will bring beer DPH # 2 "I am not sure what you are suppose to do with that, but I don't think it is suppose to flop around like that." ~Skootz~ I have a strong regard for the rules.......doc!

I hear you hit 500 on sat...congrats...sorry I was working. :4:0 an 8way that funneled immediately, a 5way....funneled that one too, 4way and a solo which I haven't done since I got my A license.....the sky was beatiful this weekend and probably my last jump there in Davenport as our Dz is moving. Season is close to an end for us in the northwest....time to fly south for the winter DPH # 2 "I am not sure what you are suppose to do with that, but I don't think it is suppose to flop around like that." ~Skootz~ I have a strong regard for the rules.......doc!

Sounds like you just need to have your bedmate at the DZ with you, then. I equated it to feeling like my head was going to "pop-off"....it was actually worse than the initial headache that I was in the ER for. I got a post LP headache and they do suck. laying down and caffeine are the two best home remedies. Typically - at least in our area - they won't do a blood patch for 48 hours after the LP. The blood patch immediately took my post LP headache away.....though.
