You know, you may want to take the ASVAB test....it kind of gives you direction job wise. It said I would be a good nurse.....and you know what, I loved being an RN and it was a great profession for me. There was no one in my family that was in health care and there is no way I would have gone that direction had I not taken the test. Just a thought anyway. The nice thing about mesquite is that they will have a caravan all winter long....trying to figure out how to get down there so I can jump on bigbird.......she is on loan from our DZ. As much as I'd like to say you're right...I just don't ever think it would happen. You say being safe after 300 jumps would gain me somecredibility? I say 2000 on this ame canopy would gain me nothing on DZ.com. I could burn in on jump 3562 and have never changed off of this 105, and good ol' DZ.com would still say it was due to my rapid downsizing and I didn't gain the skills early on to save my ass. There is no possible way, EVER that I could EVER consider that I've won and was safe on the canopy. I can never "prove" to DZ.com that I am/will be safe. It is simply a lose-lose situation. Dear Chris, I have been watching the forums over your rapid downsizing and reading what everyone has said....being a jumper with similar jump numbers, I haven't said anything as I don't have the experience behind me to say much. I do have to say from your response that you sound very angry and bitter from the advice that you have been given. You asked for an opininon and have been given one.....granted harsh at times. I realize it may be not what you have not wanted to hear and even not constructive at times when it could have been. Even at times I have wondered if you are just looking for a fight. I understand your desires although I have to say I don't share them as I have some other priorities that I have put to the fore front vs. the speed of my canopy. If you knew my wing loading I am sure you would be quite amused.......it is very low. I truly believe the people here have your best interest at heart....they have experienced many losses esp in the last couple years....losses that could have been prevented in some instances. Coming from a newbie......this is not the first time I have heard of this. We had a newer jumper at our DZ who had the same thing happen....ended with a reserve ride with no complications. Thanks for posting the info as it is something that we all can learn from. I don't know why your PCP wrote them for you, and I'm not going to second guess his/her practice, but my advise would be to try to avoid their use. _________________________________________________ Exactly......I don't typically prescribe this for headache/// or any narc for that complaint honestly.......just too many other meds that could work with less side effects. could be migrainous......and you get rebound on occasion.......be cautious when using it. "TI'm willing to bet that you're not finishing your flare and your flare timing is off. That's normal, there's people with hundreds of jumps that have that problem. It may seem like you're flaring all the way to finish, but get video and see." That has been my biggest issues with landing...having people watch you and getting video are both very helpful....in addition practice flaring up high. Muscle memory is a good thing. Oh my gosh g....you crack me up!!!!! Teens definitely can put things in a tail spin.....I have two in that age group and they definitely add color to our lives.
