Most D-bags are placed in the container with the stowed lines at the bottom of the container - I was wondering if there are any difficulties that may arise from placing the stowed lines at the back of the tray - ie so the bridle lifts from the top (as the container lays) rather than the top side as normal. Surely this would cut down the chances of the lines becoming a mess when pushing the D-bag in so the stowed lines are placed at the bottom side (as container lays) and thus cut down bag lock mals............. just a thought??? I was just wondering why the norm has been found to be the best method. I hope this makes sense. BSBD

After watching a guy at my DZ (who is a great canopy pilot) swoop a borrowed Sabre135 (he normally jumps a Icarus105) more than the people on their elliptical 105's & Sub100's etc I knew then it is definatly the pilot and not the canopy that swoops - people think they need ellipitcal sub100's to do great swoops - this is not the case - learn to swoop your square/semi elliptical first before moving to less forgiving canopies - I am still learning to swoop my Sabre135 and I am still surprised at the speed i can get from it - it is so surprising how much flying potential you have with a canopy that most people do not explore - Just look at the canopies people like Rickster learnt to swoop on and you will see they aint anything special. Just my inexperienced swooping £0.02 worth.................. BSBD

There maybe a very obvious answer to this question – but I am just curious at the reasons this maybe is not so – on a BASE canopy you can have something called a multi – this is a multiple point attachment of the bridle to the canopy – it is designed to stop centre cell stripping due to the forces exerted onto a single attachment point. I realise that the forces on the single point attachment to a skydive canopy are less due to slower deployment speeds but would not a multi perhaps reduce the wear and tear on a canopy and perhaps prolong its life? I do not know of any problems that people have with their skydive canopies and single attachment points – thus I can not see a problem with the single point. I am just curious if these have been used at any point on skydive canopies (not CReW) and what the findings were. Just me being curious trying to build up knowledge in an anoraky way!! Looking for a DZ with FreeFly training for both individuals and Team focus - all offer the best etc etc - does anyone have experience of decent FreeFly coaching - I was originally looking at Spain (Babylon) Perris (FlyBoyz) America (Olav et al) Sebastian (Rook) - these are the obvious ones - has anyone used these or perhaps others (PsykoCirkus for example(I dont know where they base themselves)) that they can suggest? Thanks for all help............ BSBD
