Arlo is a total boozehag and I am loving her a second time!
-
You you just didn't go there!
-
I just cut 16 mindless posts out of this thread, guys. Please remember that this is a topical forum. Bonfire is several forums up. Chuck -takin out the trash

I have had a total with drogue in tow and my reserve had a totally clean deployment past my drogue. No issues at all.
-
I don't know anyone in the states that has done it yet, but I bet you could find a really good rigger to give it a shot there in CO. Why not ask Derek V. (hooknswoop) if he would give it a try? If that does not pan out, I am guessing that you could get it done in Z-hills. Chuck

Did Tammie train you?
-
You are going to love that suit.
-
Both Tony Suit and Sunpath are within eyesight of the DZ. I live on the DZ.
-
I didn't understand that one either.
-
That's a fantastic idea actually. Worth repeating!
-
That's not "one level harder than that of your student" mister! I am going to dime you out to Kate immediately. Chuck
-
I think that's great! The wider leg stance not only adds stability, but gives a lot more forward speed as well.
-
I live one block from Tony Suits, brother. I regularly spend time bullshitting in the "wingsuit warehouse" during the slow days at Z-hills. It's a very dynamic environment.
-
I think it's both, actually. Weak throws allow your PC to flop around behind you until it finally catches air. PC hesitations due to weak throws are quite common. Linetwists are common when the bag pulls off your bag slowly and when you haven't quickly-enough squared your body up after the throw. These occurences are not wingsuit-specific, but greatly compounded due to the forward flight trajectory and rearward deployment in a wingsuit. Chuck

Well, I was so confident that responses like these were coming that I nearly put an additional paragraph in my last post saying something about it. The bottom line is that Jeff easily outfloats everyone I know in his big suit and he has tremendous forward speed when he kicks it in. It's a very large suit with a very, very wide legwing. I don't know what his actual figures might be, nor how he records them other than a Neptune. I don't know if he uses GPS since I pay no attention to that stuff unless people on the plane are babbling about it. No, I don't think he averages that vertical speed, but I know it's damn low. Maybe we will rig him up with a bunch of redundant instruments when he gets back home and post some data to appease you techies. Chuck

There is positively nothing wrong with swooping a Pilot (or Sabre2, or Safire, etc, etc, etc...) Chuck

Nick Batch swoops 665 feet

Weights? It was an overseas meet; did they have weight restrictions? -
There was a boogie at The Farm this weekend? Thanks for the drunk dial, guys! it was a hoot.
-
No. Why does it concern you if you do not jump one?
-
I still have two, but very-rarely jump them these days. My last "sport" one; it was blue with orange arrows' got so sweat soaked that the front leather simply rotted away! I went over and over it with a zig-zag machine to keep it intact. I am going to sew muffs to the ears of that one for muff brother initiation jumps. Most student operations still use frap hats for tandem passengers. Lots of demo teams still use frap hats as well. Another good thing about a frap hat is ease of packing on commercial flights. Chuck

It's very possible that such a rig would have been CYPRES-modded after that time, assuming the owner wanted to install the device. It is a very simple mod. Chuck
-
If you are not using it and have it listed for sale, then just make sure that whatever you decide, the guy you are lending/renting it to understands that he is fully responsible for any damage/loss to the rig and it's components. Why not just work out a rent-to-own plan with the guy if he doesn't own a rig? Chuck

The War Eagle is a mascot. It is a real Eagle, on number six now I think, who lives in a big cage not far from the stadium. It is positively bad-ass when the war eagle is released in the stadium to fly a big circle, then land back on the handler's mitt. I am not sure if they even still do that, actually. The team name is the Tigers though and that tiger mascot is called "Aubie". The past three Aubie characters, the ones who run around the stadium in the suit and screw around, have all made skydives in their suit at my Dad's dropzone. The current Aubie will be jumped into the Auburn/Georgia Bulldogs game at Jordan Hare stadium via tandem using my orange and blue tandem rig. My cousin Jay Phillips, who posts on here as "Pajarito" will be the TM; I will be in North Carolina working a military contract. I doubt that helped, but I figured I would put it out anyway. Chuck

That might have been meant as a joke, Glen, but if you were doing that mod, it would be very-very easy to add mylar to all but the center cells. Having watched quite a few suits being sewn these past couple of months, I can assure you of that. Chuck

The poor boy is going to be chained to the sewing machine when he gets back home! Which suit was Jeff primarilly flying? The black one with the white binding tape and the very, very-wide legwing? Chuck
