  1. I used to have a Viper 150 that I used as sort of a demo canopy. It never once spun on me and flew fantastic. Chuck My webpage HERE
  2. BWAHAHA! I personally refer to them as either "dog houses" or "bug hats", but "mailbox" is cool too. Anyway, I have at least one of every type of helmet type there is, but generally just wear my very-stylish, flamed Mindwarp. It weighs next to nothing, looks good, and provides all the protection I generally need. I have a non-flip factory diver (just like the GK RW team still uses) and wear it for fast 4-way and when it's really cold outside. If I am wearing it in the summer, I take the lens out; I can't stand being hot. I also wear it in the wind tunnel, also without the lens (skyeyes goggles over the top) when I am not wearing my Gentex for a demo. So long as it's warm, I have to have the wind in my face. I stick my tongue out at people all the time and love to geek the camera. Chuck My webpage HERE
  3. This varies from canopy to canopy. My webpage HERE
  4. 0:18:1 first jump on my new SkyFlyer. Not a terribly bad weekend. My webpage HERE
  5. another update: I laid my two suits out and compared surface area and found my GTi to have almost exactly the same size wing area as my new Skyflyer. My Skyflyer is about an inch shorter in overall length, but still fits perfectly; just a tad tighter. Anyway, I have found in my maiden SkyFlyer flights that it requires less arm strength to maintain a smooth arm-wing airfoil, but the longer leg wing does indeed make the suit fly a little "looser" as others have stated here previously. Still, on my second flight of the day, I was rock solid, taking docks on Bobby with no problems whatsoever. Overall, I really love both of my suits. Chuck My webpage HERE
  6. I have jumped that mount, but not with my wingsuit. I bet it makes for some great video. My webpage HERE
  7. Well, we had a blast this weekend at Raeford. Myself and Bobby Pritchard did some cool stuff; me in my SkyFlyer and him in my GTi. We had lots of nice puffy clouds to soar around; it was beautiful. We are training two new guys next weekend. Chuck My webpage HERE
  8. Right on, Mark! I am all about the cold beer. Chuck My webpage HERE
  9. I gotta tell you that the only reason he has so much stuff in there is because nobody else sends in anything of consequence. It is not hard to get published in parachutists. The problem, though, is that they will not publish anything that has been posted or published elsewhere. Michelle Lesser sent some stuff and had it kicked back because it was already done here. At least that is the way I recall it. Chuck My webpage HERE
  10. LOL! Well, OF COURSE I had a chicken and cheese! Actually, I have trained Thomas Wolfe, the proprietor of Aviators Pub and Grill (at Raeford) to make them. He is doing a good job of it if I do say so, and you know how picky I am. As for the cookie lady: I was not the one looking. That was my buddy. Chuck My webpage HERE
  11. Here is how it will affect things: it will save me $25 bucks a year! Currently, even though I hold the USPA Tandem Instructor rating, I must still pay RWS $25 a year to maintain my "type" rating. This is redundant, of course, because I also pay the same amount every year to renew all my USPA ratings. Anyway, the way the first letter was worded, if you only had a "type" rating (but no USPA tandem I ticket) you could still do tandems, but they were considered "rides" and did not count towards your A-license. Only a USPA rated Tandem Instructor was authorized to teach tandem progression and, thus, have those jumps count toward your license. Personally, I will be glad when I only have to pay the one fee. USPA plus pro ticket, plus instructional ratings, plus yearly manufacturer fee equals quite a bit of cash. My webpage HERE
  12. Oh, I hated the colonel with his WEE, BEADY EYES! And that SMUG look on his face! OOH, you're gonna buy my chicken, OOOOOH! -Stuart McKenzie My webpage HERE
  13. ....since July 1998. I had to actually drive a Ryder-type truck down with another guy to deliver hurricane contingency rations. The old ones had expired. Anyway, on the way home I stopped in Daytona, FL and partied with Jari Kuosma and Vladi Pesa. We drank many beers and had a blast, as usual. What a bunch of great guys. Chuck My webpage HERE
  14. Oh, you weren't a nuisance. We were all drunk; some more than others. See you next time! Chuck My webpage HERE
  15. UPDATE: I just got my SkyFlyer last night. I am stoked. That makes a total of five suits on the DZ now, including my two. Also, while partying with Jari and Vladi last night at the Daytona Ale House, Jari said that he had been monitoring our forum. He said he was impressed with the level of participation and would soon be making time to post answers to questions and clarify some of the issues we have. For those of you who have not had the priviledge of meeting him, you are really missing out. He is a hoot. Chuck My webpage HERE
  16. I partied with Jari and Vladi last night in Daytona Beach, FL. We had a blast. As far as instruction goes, there will *several* of us BirdMan Instructors on the premesis and we will definitely have demos. We are going to have a blast; that's for damn sure. Oh, I just bought a brand-new SkyFlyer from Jari last night(every option) and can't wait to jump the hell out of it this weekend. It's good to be tight with the MAN! Hooty Hoo! Chuck My webpage HERE
  17. Merrick, when are yall coming back down? Feel free to bring the pooches. Chuck My webpage HERE
  18. My blades are always out at Raeford and anyone swooping them knows that they must either replace the damaged pole or pay me $20 to replace it should they wipe them out. Chuck My webpage HERE
  19. Our boy Merrick assembled his new kill-line pilot chute incorrectly and had a bit of a pilot chute in tow. No prob: he pulled the bridle and got it out. No harm, no beer foul. Chuckie My webpage HERE
  20. John: nothing to it but to do it, like Pruitt used to do it. Pammi: Great meeting yall finally in person. Yall should definitely plan on staying down here next time. Later in the evening, FastMartin (something or other) introduced himself. He is a Kentucky boy that is friends with Gene Paul and Miss Billie. I was supposed to take him and his old lady on tandems today, but he was hungover like a sonofabitch today and didn't make it. His much repeated line during the Tyson fight: "damn, I am sitting next to SkymonkeyONE!" He was a mess; we all were. Nice meeting you all. Everyone else: yall missed a good time this weekend at Raeford. We are flying the CASA as well as the Otter next weekend, so come on out if you can make it. Chuckie My webpage HERE
  21. View out my office window? The vertical wind tunnel, about 300 yards away. Chuck My webpage HERE
  22. Horizontally on the chest strap is nice, but many Instructors sew the sheath to the front of the thigh on their jumpsuits, just under where the legstraps go. I also know someone who has his sheath sewn upside down on upper arm of his suit. Me? I like the leg. Chuck My webpage HERE
  23. I would jump the ZP just because they last longer in my experience. Still, I have made many, many jumps on Atair mains with F-111 pilot chutes with no problem. Chuck My webpage HERE
  24. So long as you have large grommets in your slider, they will go right over large risers. I do that instead of splitting the slider on my demo rig. My webpage HERE
  25. I have sold a TON of gear on this site and Enclave. Never had a problem at all. My webpage HERE
