  1. I believe the registration dates that are shown are those from the last evolution of the site. I have been on the site for quite a long time, but I think my registration shows sometime in 2001, that is entirely false. Anyway, I have been active for the last three evolutions of the site. Chuck
  2. With a borrowed drill bit. Nah, that was the OTHER Jake, the jarhead.....lol
  3. Pardon me, I have wax in my ears. Did you say you had done every single person who packed for you since Memorial Day? Hoohoo hoo ha ha ha! I am dieing here!
  4. Brian forgot: "can you pack for me???" BWAHAHAHAHA!
  5. a Master Rigger here, Tim Tennant, has an apex mounted pull-out PC on his Odyssey. He ordered it from Sunpath that way. Actually, there are two others here that have the same option. By the way, Tim posts as USskydiver here on dropozone.com, so PM him if you want to discuss it further.
  6. Doesn't Trent on Spaceland Anomoly post here? His team got Silver in Freefly open.
  7. Some folks call it the "E-line mod"
  8. A search will tell you that this mod allows you to dig out of the corner on a less than perfect approach with less chance of stalling your canopy (when you just refuse to bail to toggles). After you pull your rears down a certain distance and the slack out of the mod lne becomes taut, any further pull on the rears will also deflect the tail down. Some people like it, some people tried it and didn't. I jumped a canopy with it and didn't care to much for it, so I never installed it. Andy Honnigbaum took his off. I will say that I think it's a smart mod for people jumping crossbraces who are fond of flying to a complete stop without touching their toggles. Much less chance of a stall. Chuck
  9. SkyFlyer 3. It would have to be red/white/blue to match his gear.
  10. I could see distance, just like they do in the tracking contest at Lodi. I could also see a freestyle contest where you throw your best individual tricks. I could see a two or thrre-way competition where a vidiot shoots you doing technical flocking. Lots of options. For now, though, I would oppose anything other than a pure distance competition. I have seen regimentation ruin the fun in so many disciplines. I jump my wingsuits as a release from the drudgery of endless tandems and AFF jumps. Chuck

    Wings

I just recieved the first of my two new Wings EXT containers and I am completely stoked at how it looks and works for me! I jump one of the very-smallest sizes, the W1-2 EXT. The construction of this rig is first rate. The pin protection is fantastic. The fact that all the wingsuit-specific mods are free really makes it a great bargain at any price. The rig fits at least as good as my old Odyssey, looks fantastic, and provides me with very-clean wingsuit deployments. I have the highest praise for this rig. I had been a fan of the system for a number of years, having used them as student rigs at the last skydiving school I worked at. I had also seen some incredibly good looking tiny ones on the backs of some of my friends. Ultimately, when it came time to look for a new ride, I naturally chose the one that I had been so impressed with lately. Chuck
  13. Ah, another Carribean traveller. Nice. Down in most islands you can get a "run punch" which is a delightful, fruity drink which will plow you if drank in quantity. In Trinidad you can get "puncheon rum" which is incredibly flamable if not mixed with something else and will burn the inner lining out of your mouth if you do not drink it quick enough and just swish it in your mouth like a dumbass. The CSR factory in St. Kitts sits one plot down the hill from the prime minister's old mansion, right off the runway at Golden Rock Airport. My team had free run of that mansion on ten different occasions while we were there "working"... Lovely. It has a two acre fruit orchard as well and is surrounded by the Golden Rock golf course. The locals were not impressed when we burned an entire acre of land with a red smoke grenade during live tissue training. Oh well. CSR is a fantastic liquor that will absolutely knock you on your ass. Chuckie
  14. You left out the option "I am a professional skydiver". I live on the dropzone and skydive six days a week. Chuck
  15. I am the total Digitally Imported fan.
  16. Yes, but who knows where CSR is made?
  17. I give you full authorization to use it as you see fit. Many, many people on the boogie and swoop circuit already use it. Chuck
  18. You, in your typical LeRoy fashion, were leaning back too far, flared too late, and caught your foot as you were ass-surfing. I saw the whole thing and couldn't believe you were injured. Looked like another ass-surf to me; nothing spectacular. At any rate, I hope you heal quickly. In the meantime, stop being such a post whore...lol Chuckie
  19. "We are not sucking" means that we don't suck, but other people and places do. Come on, you have certainly heard someone tell someone else "you suck," haven't you? As for the comment, I originated it at Panama City Beach, Florida during the PST meet. Chuck
  20. Too much work? You must not know your way around a sewing machine. Also, there is nothing saying you would have to replace the pocket in the exact location. There are many options one could play with. Chuck
  21. I don't know, Robi. It seems that if a person really wanted spandex, they could just sew a pocket on custom, after receiving their suit. This, assuming a reasonably tight fit in the upper legs of the suit. I do see, though, where you would refrain from sewing them on "stock" suits. You never know how good a suit is going to fit a person until they actually put it on. A suit that is too loose in the legs would be a bad choice for a spandex pocket. Cheers, Chuck
  22. It's entirely possible to hose yourself under a line-twisted, but straight-flying main. We have had several instances here at Raeford where the main went to shit during the "kick out of the line-twist" stage. I think in all three cases, both people went to kick out of the twists and got their connector links uneven in the process, thus exacerbating the situation. If you are flying straight, either (a) pull your LQRS and kick out with all the range of your legs; or (b) unzip VERY quickly and then get your hands up there and get the twists below the links and onto the risers, that way you can unspin yourself with your hands. Either way, you need to have emergency procedures down to a science when you are jumping small eliptical canopies. I have chopped twice under a 75, LeRoy has chopped his 105, and MonkeyLip has chopped twice under his 120. Oh yeah, Jari chopped his 79 here as well. The bottom line here is that you never know what's going to happen, even with perfect body position and perfect packing, so get in a hanging harness and have your buddies spin your ass around while you frantically unzip. It's definitely the smart thing to do. Peace, Chuckie
  23. Loic, welcome to our forum. You have quite the cult following around here. Keep up the madness, brother. Chuck Blue
  24. Ultimately, it comes down to your confidence in your canopy. If you have great openings with that canopy WITHOUT having to touch your risers, then it ought to be alright. If you have to touch them at all to control the opening, then you are going to have a hard time in a wingsuit. That said, I have a lot of BirdMan jumps under a Cobalt 75 as well as a Velocity 75 and 79 with no problems. Thatls a lie: I chopped last December under a spinning Cobalt. At any rate, if you are going to fork out five hundred dollars US for a wingsuit, the damn thing better fit good. Peace, Chuck
