Unstowed I get (brake line failure) but why with your brakes stowed? Toggle hang up? Blues, Ian Both toggles jammed on a demo rig that I did not pack. No biggie, it was a SharpChuter I.

Who? Jay? He normally throws an inside 450. -
I have absolutely flown and landed larger squares in that manner, both seven and nine cell. I have flown and landed one with the brakes stowed till landing and I have flown unstowed and landed unstowed as well when a control line failed. chuck

I don't feel bad at all. It's just that I am full of fleghm. This is not bad at all; in 1998 I had it for nearly nine months. It simply would not go away. We kept passing back and forth in the office I worked in. Chuck

How so? How do you think this will be any different than any other open-venturi portable? It's probable (because of the prop used) that the air might be less choppy, but it's still a very-small cone. Also, I am still confused as to the actual power source. The fan motor is electric, but what is going to power that? A big diesel generator? Or is it possible they think they will be able to simply plug into the power grid at whatever location they truck that thing to? At any rate, the product they propose doesn't seem "revolutionary" in any way as far as I can tell. On the same note as this (uncompleted tunnels), does anyone have any idea what happened to Fruce's plan to get Marrisa's tunnel up in Elsinore? Now THAT was going to be a proper Fort Bragg-type tunnel! Chuck

My head still hurts from last year's toga party! Ugh!

Anybody ever post-whore in a car going 80 mph on the highway?
SkymonkeyONE replied to BillyVance's topic in The Bonfire
Bill Von Novak used to do that all the time! -
I have had the crud for a couple of weeks now. No amount of mouthwash or brushing gets that smell out of your mouth either. Spitting the big green loogies is fun, but I tire of coughing all the stuff up.

I know very few people who haven't fallen from a golfcart! It's terribly unfortunate that this woman died in doing so, but I can guarantee you that more people die from that every year than do skydiving. Chuck

I mix crown with seven up if I don't want a hangover, but like it better with coke. I also like to drink shots of crown.

I thought 'yo daddy bought that! Nope, this used to be the old white cart with the stickers all over it he drove for years. Daddy bought a Yamaha ProHauler at the convention last year. I just repainted and rednecked that old cart when he so graciously gave it to us. No, you can't borrow it. Actually, yes, you can. Chuckie

I had totally forgotten that trick! For what it's worth, back when I turned my camera on while it was already on my head, I had no problem hearing my side-mounted camera "spooling up." I would then push my "record" button with my left hand and ask someone if my red light was on (indicating record). The mirror would have negated that last task. Still, I am happiest hitting record and checking that the camera is recording before I put my helmet on. Everyone has their favorite personal technique don't they? Chuck

Macca, you let StreetBoy kick your ass with pillows!

Gotta watch it in Golf Carts! That's no fucking lie! We laugh and joke about Macca, Gimpy, and poor Macca's chick friend pounding in on carts at Rantoul, but all three could have been easilly killed in those crashes. Same for the one I was in the year prior with Jay Moledzki, Shanaynay, and Simon Mundell! Simon had the cart roll completely over him and I was thrown twenty feet. It's fun to get drunk and run around on golf carts, but you just have to understand that you can really fuck yourself up on them, even if they are bone stock. Everybody and their mother was jimmying the governors on the gas carts at the convention to make them go faster, too. They are not toys. But speaking of toys, here's mine and Katie's.

Is this a mobile that has ever been built? Even if one of those mobiles EVER gets completed, it will still only have a 2.1 m (6.8 feet) diameter cone. That, taken directly from thier website. I would be very interested to see how that makes it around the corner that tight and stays steady out that open venturi. That thing will be the typical "carnival attraction" in my opinion. Chuck

Compare XAOS 21 to VX and/or Velo

Your termilology was correct, though, Mark. It is a dig to get the canopy climbing again. -
Would you pay $5 for 1/2 hour tunnel time?
SkymonkeyONE replied to Avion's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
And there you have it; the root of the thread: a solicitation. No, you cannot use this site to solicit "donations" nor can you "run a raffle" to get yourself free tunnel time. This is simply not acceptable in our forums. Chuck -
Fuck, just leave a note, and smash the window in so he can get some air. They'll learn their lesson. I was about to recommend the same thing.
