  1. I got you there. I don't think any except Ty and Mig would be good lead-men for that band. I am not sure what INXS thinks hiring a new front man will do for them other than give them an opportunity to tour and sing their old stuff. Their critiques of some of, what I consider to be, great performances indicate that they don't want anyone who isn't into the kind of music they already play. If they want to come out of the competition and make some real money they might be better off with choosing someone very-different than what they had, like Jordis maybe. Right now I don't see how they could choose anyone but Mig if it's their intent to play their old stuff. Chuck
  2. Tonto is right. I very-clearly remember sitting in the loft drinking at the GB club on fort Bragg making bridles short enough that the PC just hung at the tail of the canopy after opening. This, so we wouldn't get them tangled with each other when we banged together our post-RW CRW formations. We all got away with that for many years prior to the invention of "real" CRW canopies with retractable bridles. These days I jump nine-footers on both of my rigs (even my swoop/AFF/video rig) as you never know when you are going to want to back-to-back with wingsuits. Chuck
  3. I haven't been a Marty fan at all because he is just a bit "over the top" theatrically for me, but he killed it last night. Jordis, who I am not really a fan of, did great as well. Mig, I believe, would be best suited to win the competition and take over the job with INXS. Chuck
  4. Keely doesn't look anything like Rachel.
  5. What the hell are "rubby" slippers? Do you mean ruby slippers?
  6. A big hot tub at a dz? Will it be 1:1 chlorine? Actually, it would end up being one part chlorine and one part piss.
  7. BWAHAHAAHA! You're killing me Jason! In response to James though: there were two Prodigy wing blowouts at Skyfest that I know of for sure; PFI Ted and PFI/E Perry. I seriously doubt those guys mis-rigged their wings. BMI/PFI Darren Kellet just posted that he had a wing blowout as well. Chuck
  8. eat some laxatives and blow more ass to lose weight.
  9. My velo opens a bit quicker with my removeable slider and I have never had a problem with "seeking" on any of the three Velocities I have owned (75,79, and now 84).
  10. Don't be a dick. The thread is dead.
  11. a quick glance just now revealed that I personally know 21 people who are online. I have not slept with any of them, nor have I seen any of them (totally) naked.
  12. "leave me alone...I'm tired"
  13. Oh goodie, now that I know you're on line, I can send you a PM and fuck with you Bring the pain, woman!
  14. I know this to be true but how much of a difference are we talking about? I mean significant enough to justify buying new risers or not? Absolutely. Four additional inches made my Velo fly like a completely different canopy.
  15. Skydiving will never be "cheap", but yes, once you get your own gear and are done with training the twenty bucks it costs to make a jump doesn't hurt that bad.
  16. What NEW DZO???? The way I understand it, Winnie sold the DZ to Art Shaffer (Crutch).
  17. don't you have a yard to mow or something?
  18. I look all the time, just to see if I want to PM someone and fuck with them.
  19. I was very impressed with the performance Ted was getting in a Prodigy at SkyFest. At breakoff from the flock he kicked it into gear and had me stretching to catch him in my S3. The only problem I see with that suit; and I have witnessed it first-hand; is that even when properly rigged it's entirely possible to lose a wing, even both during your flight. I think there needs to be a more secure means of connecting the wing to the hip of the pants. Beyond that, the suit does exactly what it was designed for and more (in terms of performance). Chuck
  20. I think I will allow it in this instance, Jim.
  21. I have thrown streamers on every single demo jump I have ever done. I have not, however, thrown streamers for "regular" jumping in several years. Not since we stopped regularly doing SL progression at Raeford. Chuck
  22. I had two of the original versions (as well as two original Sabres) and the Monarch opened like a fucking bomb! It was a slightly faster canopy than my Sabres, but the openings on both of them were brutal. Yes, there are ways to fix the brutal openings.
