  1. He got away with it. It was a goofy way to acquire a puppy but I'd say he won.
  2. I wasn't referring to you. I meant that people in general have no acceptance for difference. They can argue their point but it is difficult to get someone to change their belief structure. I actually agree with you, to a point, it was misconstrued. It's interesting to see things through someone elses eyes.
  3. Exactly...They are not Accepting. I never have and I still do not believe in any organized religion. They all have flaws. The strive for improvement in some form, whatever it takes to make you try a little harder, was my only point. The main aspect of individuality is overlooked by those that can not accept a different view point, from their reality.
  4. My home base. It is very overcrowded and the highways are insane. We have countless incredible restaurants & cool clubs. Rays NY Pizza in Roswell & Los Reyes Mexican in Marietta are exceptional but I love cheap food. Georgia has beautiful seasons. Autumn is amazing; there is a cool crispness in the air that is completely unforgettable. I envy every Halloween not spent in GA. We have the Chattahoochee, the woods, elevation/seasonal changes & the HOV lane. I miss the hiking & the cold rain more than anything. Have fun. I am so jealous. Check out Little 5 Points...It's interesting.
  5. There is no doubt in my mind that Jesus existed. He was a man very determined to change people’s perspective. His extreme mission was to sacrifice his life for the understanding of others. His intention led to the creation of Christianity. He accomplished his goal. We all find our faith in different ways; whether it comes from our inner strength or belief in a higher power. The point is that we have it and others should accept a different perspective. Faith of some kind, gives one the drive to try to be a good person. Attempting to take that away or to be condescending because you don't agree is a waste of your time. Acceptance of individuality is key. We all have the right to go our own way. I'm not trying to push my beliefs on anyone, this is just my view.. God or the higher power, has ruling over all human existence, in my opinion. Nothing is ever definite.
  6. Go with your gut, man. This is your biz. Skydive Cloud 9 sounds cool to me. Do your own thing. Good luck.
  7. Soft crushed ice from Racetrac gas station saved my life & my waist when I quit. Just a thought. Congrats on your decision, you can do this. Good luck!
  8. Bad karma? What goes around, comes around. Screw up my life... You will get yours too. Just an AR guess.
  9. Men are strong & protective. They usually try to look out for us.
  10. That's the right attitude. Just be careful & listen to your body. What I meant to say is if something doesn't feel right, don't jump. There is always tomorrow. Poor judgement usually causes pain. You have the rest of your life to learn, take your time. I agree...This is the ultimate sport. It will take time, effort, patience & $$$ to improve. I know there is nothing I would rather do. We just need to get up & try again. Have fun up there.
  11. Hey, I'm there too. I did my 8th jump this weekend & landed on my ass for the second time. I have got to figure out my landings (flare point). I'm not sure how much more pain my spine is wiiling to endure. At this point I'm thinking that I'm alright but I will no longer take un-necessary risks. Having a blast is not worth a possible long-term spinal injury. Best of luck to you & please listen to your body.

    Hangovers

http://www.hungover.net/vitaman.asp This site has a few good tips. Some are just BS. Vitamin B-1 is especially helpful if taken after drinking, it helps the body metabolize alcohol & curbs extreme dehydration. Milk Thistle strengthens & regenerates liver cells. Smoking amplifies hangovers. Since I stopped smoking hangovers are non-existant. The dry mouth/throat, nausea, weakness, headache, dehydration, & that disgusting taste are gone. My entire body feels alive & every aspect of my health has improved. I no longer crave a cig or get pissed when I run out. I was smoking almost a carton a week. That totals $1400 a year spent feeling like shit. It’s uncomfortable to quit when drinking but not impossible, I still drank like a fish. I realize that we all die eventually but after watching my step-mother die of lung cancer last year, I can not imagine a more painful, debilitating way to go. This is not a self-righteous rant. It is only an opinion based on my personal experience. It is your right to do whatever the hell you want. My only intention is the hope that you guys have more time & money for jumping & enjoying life with your family & friends. I know this will piss alot of you off. I apologize, I seem to do this frequently although I've never meant to. Ignore me, I will be gone soon enough. Have fun & be safe up there.
  15. I have had a craving to do this for 10 years. This is my year. I will be there soon. I am thirsty, hungry, & looking to fly. I will achieve my goal... And I can not wait to be free...Out west. We are trading our comfy life... For BM & freedom. Have a blast & be safe up there. Pics are always helpful...Although there is no doubt that it totally kicks ass.
  16. Thanks...That is a very inspiring perspective.

    Snake ID

This is very true...Damn, you always have the answer. Right on.
  18. From that perspective, no. I do not have kids but my parents divorced when I was six. For the majority of my life I lived without self-esteem, they were both very negative. That is the effect of a lack of a positive role model. It is entirely situational dependant. If someone is in a relationship & they realize that they no longer love their partner...I hope that they are cool enough to cut their loses, be honest & let that person go... To find someone that can provide this. Everyone deserves happiness & love. In my opinion... Selfish love leads to desperation or betrayal. A little compassion goes a very long way.

    Beauty

Every sunset, electrical storm & skyline are absolutely unique. I truly appreciate the starry nights, lacking the haze & humidity. Every time I look at the sky... I am blinded by beauty. This life & this planet continue to amaze me everyday.
  20. He'll be alright, man. Dogs are tough... Have faith.
  21. Personally... I believe it is possible that there may be someone out there better suited for me & my baby. I am completely dedicated to his happiness... I love him more than anything in this existence but this does not change the fact that we are slightly physically incompatible. He is a tall, amazing, technical cynic. I am a very short, naive, goofy & clueless romantic. We are total opposites. I had an irrational concept of someone once. I came to the conclusion that they are out there, very happy, taken care of & living a great life, with amazing friends…That is all that matters... I guess, it was simply not meant to be. I completely love my life & my true love. I would kill for him & I could not live without him. He is the single most important factor in my happiness. I owe him my life… No love has been lost in my situation. Understanding has been gained. To you, Babe; You continue to amaze me by the second. Words can not express how proud I am to know you & spend my life with you. You blow my mind everyday. I honestly believe...I am by far the luckiest chick out there. Have a blast up there. Be safe & Thank you with sincerity, for all that you are. Just a view from a different perspective.
  22. I have a friend that makes $95,000 in the IT field. He did not go to college. He has natural intellect. It seems to me that he was born prepared. The stats are not always as they appear. You learn true life lessons with experience & determination. Formal education does not always qualify as intellegence. In some cases it is just a way to spend a shit load of money on wasted time & effort. IMO.
  23. I would tell her to forget about it. The past is un-changable. Shit happens. There's always tomorrow. But... That's just my view. My days are filled with mistakes & embarassment... It could always be worse. (Assuming that I did detect an obscure reference)
  24. We should be allowed to love whomever we want. To each his own... Either way. I, personally, do not believe it would make a difference. It seems unfair to condemn someone because they walk a different path to satisfaction. To love your partner & treat them with Respect is all that matters. Everyone is different, we have the right to choose our lives & our love. That is just my view.
