But still hard for me to understand something: for a senior rigger who wants to be a master and needs the two ratings, the seat or chest practically doesnt exist in the skydiving sport world, the seats probably has a few models for pilots?, and the chest are mostly the military, so if I want to be a master to perform skydiving stuff, I need to find a few pilots and pack their rigs or go into some headquarter to pack the 80 more necesary for the master rigger ticket.

Anyone knows why Racer reserve packjobs can be count as chest packjob when you take the rigger test?? Also unaproved TSO rig packjobs counts for the FAA or not?? Nicolino

Yes Araña is my brother, I believe he confuse the two, the Mocho is a showlder of the Torre, just below, very similar to half dome, overhung, flat granite, 1800 ft, glaciar landing. My other friend, the climber did the Mocho climb with partner and jump alone, and last summer soloing the Torre for 2nd time without jump. And the movie has real footage on the Cerro Torre, the Argentinian Guide who did the crew support is Sebastian de la Cruz, he did the first winter summit on the torre when he has 18 years old...

I was on the summer 2004-2005 on the Torre BASE Camp trying to climb and jump the Cerro Mocho and the weather was crap (also my climbing knowledge), my friend did it alone one month later , also I know during the summer 2005-2006, he was on top of the Torre after his 2nd soloing with a BASE rig on and he cant found an acceptable exit point, and Im sure he wants to jump it so badd..... Also during the famous movie production "grito de piedra" many years ago one English guy (I have his name somewhere) did 3 helicopter jumps close to the top, but he cant BASEjump. ....monsters of Patagonia, someday....., somebody.......

Hello Im a Argentina BASE jumper, I can help with some info, here we have pretty much low stuff with easy access, mostly antennas 400ft, some nice buildings in BsAs under construction once a while, and a few cliffs far away 600ft//1000/1200ft., and a few bridges 130/180 ft Also the monsters in Patagonia, but you need to be a pro climber before, and able to do at least 1 month expedition to climb in Jannuary. My experience is mostly in the 300 400 range, a dont feel any diference betwen open and close flaps on my warlock, Merlin and DP. I find one time doing a asist PC on a friend, a very hard stuck bridle with a PRISM, also I notice that may be the packjob was to fat. We measure (with a friend) pulling forces with a fish weight thing on the bridle, and we figure out a bunch of diferent forces betwen the 1st and 2nd pin on the diferent tests, like, chest strap loose and tight, legs loose and tight, abdominal force and curve shoulders, front loop position, etc. And another thing, if you drop your PC (mushr) very slow and gently, close to you, I think and feel that the canopy open more faster than if you drop your PC very hard, also I can check that on video. ???? When I read those kind of stupid questions, I realize that some people doesnt know really what your goals are. You think that put a malfunction packjob is going to training you for a real situation???, for sure NO For sure if you never kick a twist line on a (lets say stiletto or spinletto)skydiving canopy, you have a lot to learn my friend. Be inteligent and use your energy doing smart stuff and enjoing BASE jumping, you will have then your skills when the problem arribe some day. Or I have a terrific!! idea!!, why you dont hang your rig from a tree and with a beautyfull knot on your lines wrap, you can put as much twist lines as you want and repeat it thousands of times and you become the master of Kicking twistlines, is like a wind tunnel ob BASE jumping twist line malfunctions, ISNT A GREAT IDEAAAAAA!!!!. YEAHHH Please dont try to be smart than normal, and solve problems that doesnt exist, you can confuse yourself and ending doing parasail. Or also you can try open in headdown, with a line over, with your links attach with a pull upcord, with a premature open container, etc., so then you are ready to became the MASTER OF SOLVING BASE MALFUNCTION EVER !!! and you can made a Tshirt, I want one.
