Mine was back in May, and that's the way it was set up for the teams. My team consisted of 2 big # jumpers and one girl with about 300 and myself with only about 38 or so. Another team had 3 experienced and one with around 200 or more but not much experience with RW. If they set it up this way you will have a great time and have a chance to meet and learn from some of the best at your DZ. I now have my first video of me doing 4-way! It's not perfect, but I have been hooked ever since then to keep working at it. Talk with an instructor or your S&TA before adding weights to any jump, they know your abilities and will give you sound advice. Good luck and have fun!

Stopped in to check out the facilities, and meet the people at Seven Hills. Spent the holiday weekend with Family in Wisc. Rapids. Had to make a quick detour to meet Hairy Bob finally, have been hearing fun stories about him from the people at my home DZ, about what a great Crew dog he is. I got a taste of what an amazing bunch they are there and watched them perform a down plane before I had to leave. I enjoyed a warm welcome and great conversation while I was there! I will try in the next few weeks to go back and join them in a jump or two (no gear with me this trip) and spend the night camping. Dottie is so bubbly and smiley, maybe I can talk her into jumping with me! Thank you for spending the time to make me feel welcome! It's easy to get to from the main HWY and yet it's there own little playground to share end enjoy! Blue skies everyone at Seven Hills!

Funny but while I still get the "this is a bad idea..." at about 10,000 ft. I find that my nervousness went from scared shitless to leave the plane to now nervous I'll screw up on a 4-way! since I am new and just learning everything and starting to jump in 4-ways I have 2 things now that make me nervous or have anxiety over. But I'm glad that I am progressing in the sport because the more involved I get in 4-ways the "scared" is replaced with "knowlege" and that will help me on both ends (getting out of the plane without wanting to barf and doing better in competitions.

Thanks brabzzz! That's it!! That's what I go through right now! I never can explain what I'm feeling right now at my level to people and that''s it! So that "sheet white" does eventually fade to a biege?

That's what I was told by my DZO. I had done 3 tandem jumps in 1988 and did 3 more last year. When I signed up for AFF they asked me if I wanted to include them in my #' towards my A lic. I didn't, I felt it had been so long ago that I wanted to start from the 1st tandem last year and complete my 25 jumps current. Good to work on completing you proficency card as soon as possible. I was scrambling near the 25th jump to complete my card at the same time. Good luck. Blue skies

Thank you, Doug! Thank you thank you thank you!! I know that letting us go up was a wash situation for you but it really made my evening and want you to know how much I appreciated that! being a newbie and having the opportunity to do 3 jumps in a row on a smaller load than normal helped me work on alot of details for my dives in the future! Your awsome!! -
How much better does it get after AFF?

Whatever you do don't quit yet. I have 3 jumps left for my A license. I didn't quite feel that there wasn't anything exciting about it anymore, I just started feeling the strain of passing each level. I knew it was all about learning first and then the fun would come back again. Believe me, when you do your first solo you will have a better perspective. I couldn't sleep the night before, running through my head my dive flow for the next day, over and over again. I thought I would worried about everything from pulling stable to mixing up a hand signal. But every dive went good and the more confidence I got the more fun I had. I have only done a few solos and I have been enjoying spending my freefall time doing the things that I want to work on or just spending the time feeling that amazing feeling that captured you on your very first jump. I don't know what type of skydiver that makes me, I just do what feels good and what my capabilities allow. I have people who will jump with me and am looking forward to the day I can confidently jump with them. I don't need to know today when that will be so for now I am enjoying myself and finding my nitch! Riding my dirt bike years ago for the first time was "yeah, I can do it...now what" How many years later now I'm jumping and having a blast doing all kinds of I never thought I could do at the time. Skydivings no different. Get you skills, jump, have fun and in the future who knows what your abilities might be and what cool things you will be trying! Hang in there! -
It had been 17 years since my last tandem jump and was chomping at the bit to do it again! I signed my son up for a glider ride with Windy City Soaring next door, and Lisa at CSC sold me on my next tandem jump!! These people are professionals, focus on safety, thorough on instructions and never forget the most important element,to have a blast!!!! My instructor Eddy was professional, talented and entertainment! Making for a very memorable experiance. Doug did an awesome job videotaping my jump and capturing the real thrill in this great sport. I highly recommend having your adventure taped! I watched it so many times last night that I now have to call and schedule my next jump so I have something new to watch. I will always have my jumps taped in the future! Thank you CSC and staff for making my 4th tandem my best ever!!! Holly
