    I was lucky enough to get a 50% off BevSuits certificate yesterday in a saftey day raffle. I already have tony suit camera suits, and comp rw suit. But for the past 5 years I have been using a retro rw suit without booties as a freefly suit. How are BevSuits's freefly jumpsuits? I have a need and the 50% off doesn't hurt. Thanks!     I hear swoopers speak that preference, so they can slide across the ground on landing while bleeding off horizontal speed. But what does that do to your grip on the airplane for launching exits? It's tough to launch a clean group exit if your feet slip out from under you when you try to push off to launch out the door. These two requirements are not compatible with each other... John you are talking about two different conditions. Skate shoes grip aircraft surfaces just fine, they weren't designed to slip OFF of skateboards and bike pedals. That is a function of the sole material. The better sliding ability relates to the tread design. The treads are flatter and more even so it leads to less edges to catch the ground. Perfect example, smooth bottom climbing shoes. The material is grippy, great for friction on rock. But they would slide and not be great for running in the grass with.     Make jumpers wait X number of seconds for poor landing accuracy. Land dead center, run straight for the shooting line. Land second rig, delay 5 seconds. Land outside target, delay 15 seconds.     Ding ding. Maybe this is a bad analogy but getting your training locally is like buying a product like a experince camera from a small family owned operation instead of a big box store. They may not have the discount that Walmart can offer, and they may have to special order, but they will offer ongoing support that is unmatched.     Mapquest the drive to CPI located in Ellington CT... skydivect.com. We are open Saturday and Sunday all winter long, weather permiting. Depending on coach availability we may be able to get you the remaining 3 jumps, and I am sure enough people will be around to give some packing pointers.     My rig fits in a carry on sized rolling suitcase. I keep a laundry bag in the roller big enough to stuff the rig and deployed canopies back into. I used to carry it on my back but I spent the whole trip stressing about the young child in front of me spilling their soda. Not to mention I grew tired of the skydiving / parachute questions after my fist few flights going to boogie trips. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

    I would also guess that in addition to making it "progressive" they will also raise that cap for the amount of wages subject to the payroll tax. Sometimes people have poor communication skills, even though they are good people, nothing unique to skydiving. Don't get so hung up on it, just brush it aside.     Most of the work by the defense was done long before the trial. It was the news interviews, talk show appearances, guest spots on the apprentace. We don't mind convicting politicians in this country, but we aren't as eager about convicting celebreties. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

    We can make this about freedom, the military, the war, but I think it is missing the point. In my opinion it is just wrong to protest and interrupt anyones funeral or memorial. Soldier, politician, or some one less desirable like a convicted killer or rapist; the memorial is for the families, let them be.     I round up to the first cent. I have bank of america and just I enrolled in this keep the change program. If I charge .01 cents they take the .99 cents to round up to a dollar, and move it to my savings. Normally it is just moving your own money around, but for the first 3 months they will match 100% up to 250 dollars. So I have been filling up at the gas station 2.01 worth of gas at a time.     I don't want to change your views, you already made it very clear that you have it all figured out. I only want to point out a very straight forward observation. You are putting you desire to drive your car fast on public roads, ahead of others lives, saftey, personal property, and wellbeing. Any belief that you have minimized the risk is bullshit because you can completely minimize the risk to the people that live on the road by going to a track, and you are making their choices for them. Just own up to that, because that is what you are doing. If you are so confident in your risk assesment put your money where your mouth is. Go knock on some doors on this route, and tell the people what you told us, that you are going to drive past their property in excess of 150 mph and you have it all worked out.     Sorry, but that sounds like selfish, self absorbed BS. If you can afford that car you can afford the track time to enjoy your "fast car". That is where responsible people who give a shit about the rest of people around them go to play with their fast cars. If your doing that on public roads your being reckless. Just man up and admit it. Driving my wicked cool fast car, wicked fast, is more important than the person I may kill. Sorry I killed your dad, I got a fast car. Sorry I killed myself and you have to live with the image of cleaning up my carnage because something happened that I had no chance of avoiding, I got a fast car. Just got word from my girlfriend's niece whose friend just killed himself doing similar stuff in a fast car. Young and dumb and I am sure he had it all figured out too.
