    Open carry is a deterrent, it is also to have your gun snatched from you in a struggle if you don't know how to guard against it. I wish I had the option to open carry, it is legal in CT but you would still get the cops called would run the risk of getting your permit pulled for causing a disturbance.     Strongly disagree. Rugers LCP, or Little Copy Pistol, because it is a rip off of a KelTec 380 design, may be fun to target shoot but the 380 round sucks for self defense. I don't want to get shot by any gun, but if I had to chose I would rather be shot by a 380 than a 45!!! At the minimum I would go with a 9mm, and the heaviest 9mm self defense round that you gun will shoot reliably and that you shoot accurately. Go heavy.     I have never heard of wear problems with the Gelvanor fabric. In fact I ordered a canopy with some left over stock three years ago. I thought it was no longer in production because the manufacture process was extra environmentally noxious. I can't support that, could just be a rumor that was passed around a few times.     That is because the trend that the American people are choosing gun education over gun phobia. Many of my friends shoot and they have decided to make it a family activity. Instead of labeling guns as evil at skipping ownership they teach their kids and lock up their guns. Having a gun isn't taboo or edgy like it was in the 90's.     None of those things are relevant at my workplace, the NLRB would do nothing for me aside from screwing things up. No one is yanking my benefits.     They should be jumping at a more stable supply of non middle-eastern oil. In the environmentalists world it would be better to be dependent on the middle-east, and if they choke off our oil and cripple our country win win, way less environmental impact.     I think blue collar working class still vote republican because they have foresight. They understand that eventually all the social engineering by the democrats are going to negatively impact their bottom line and quality of life. The middle class is the loser in the long run. They don't get shit out of these programs, and they have way less to spare in their paychecks. Why do the rich care about higher takes, they have enough disposable income to absorb taxes increases with no change to quality of life.     Funny, I was thinking some people would be happy to shower welfare on the Octowhore, let the kids fester, and then they would have more constituents to "help" down the road. I'd rather the mom get put on work detail, the kids get assistance and mentoring, and mahbe they won't grow up like mom. Come to think of it the other bridges are in close enough proximity that they too are probably leading to wealthier areas. They should knock them down in the spirit of income equality, the government has no business assisting those piece of shit richies. Because we pledge allegiance to partisanship. Couldn't be that we have a Federal government problem it only the [ insert party here] causing this waste.
