for the two levels i can get at spaceland for the price of one at Houston, I'll take the wait. Since when is saving money a matter of convenience? That and SDSL's staff is bad ass. oh by the way, i'm making my way to you guys here soon, maybe i'll bring pizza again. Fly it like you stole it

Student jump prices are in line with industry norms. So your complaint there would be more of a general complaint about the cost of learning to skydive, rather than a complaint unique to, or directed specifically at, Skydive Houston. $295 for an level at SD Houston $130 for a level at Spaceland so yeah i see some disparity Fly it like you stole it

Why Dropzone's should be more like Wal-Mart
bloody_trauma replied to bloody_trauma's topic in The Bonfire
Dropzone's should be like wal-marts... one in every city with a stoplight and a horse... Always open. They would highlight your jumpticket before you got out of the plane. There will always be a guy riding a golf cart around harrassing the teenagers and looking for stray jumpers. You could buy your ticket at a self check out counter. Fly it like you stole it -
The army makes it hard for me to jump, when you consider that the nearest place to jump for me is usually in excess of 100 miles... I'm fightin just to get through my levels let alone my A license. every time i get ready to go again i have enough money for a few jumps and retraining fees. this has just precipitated the dropzone vs. wal-mart thread Fly it like you stole it

umm dunno bout retarded, but, they are worded in a nursing format i guess? the answers were what got me more than the questions, like that wouldnt put an obvious choice for a disease process, they would put some other things that you might see. Fly it like you stole it

no, i mean theres still 120 questions left to answerafter missing those 85, the test still has room to determine competency, Fly it like you stole it

can't we just skip part 2 and go straight to part 3? Fly it like you stole it

Not that i keep tabs, but alot of people don't realize that they shouldn't burn bridges, In the army, doubley so. I never know when i may need a hand or favor and it usually happens that i'll run into someone that i know who has something i need or can do something that is beneficial to me, and the other way around, I can't count the number of times i've run into people from previous duty stations where ever i go. also on the same note those same people, introduce me to other people, and my list of friends gets bigger and bigger... same thing with skydiving i imagine. sheeot i'm already partying... messed up thing is the army still considers me to be in student status, so even when we go do transition to practice i can't practice alone, I think thats why its called practice Fly it like you stole it

Ho Lee Crap... that was the most scathing hour of my entire life. This felt different than my emt exam... some how more confusing. I'm unsure if i passed. I fel like i did, the test ranges from 85 to 205 questions and determines competency and is adaptive ( gives harder questions as you answer correctly, easier as you answer incorrectly) mine shut of at 85 questions and i felt like the questions were crazy difficult. to my credit they say that you can fail at 85 questions, but i can't find one single instance of this happening, and to that, it seems that it would be cray for the computer to sut you off even if you answered 85 in a row wrong. it would stil be able to assess competency after those 85 wrong. ehh, i'm sure i passed, i ain't no fool I'll know in a couple of days if i passed, but crap why they gotta mess with my head that way!
