you have a right to protect yourself, i've got no problem with that.... but to go over the top and go killing people is just plain wrong -
i belive that American and English people were lied to by our governments about the real reason they went to war... the real reason would not have got them the backing at the time that they enjoyed and needed i also think that it was a good idea to get rid of Sadam, but why it's seems to be ok to go into a country because you think their leader is a mass murderer and needs to be taken down, yet leave many more mass murdering dictators still in power around the world is beyond me so yes, i guess it's all about the oil and always has been the whole War On Terror is a farce too, just a knee jerk reaction to 9/11. I'm sure the American public demanded action after 9/11, so action is what they got.... whether it's the right action is questionable. you can't win a War On Terror bacause no matter how many terrorists you kill, more will simply fill their shoes, plus they are an invisible enemy. i can't help but think this War On Terror is very convenient for all the companies that manufacture munitions.... and just how many of those companies sponsor different political parties in America? how very nice for them that they are now having orders ramped up to meet the war demand **edited for spelling**

are you saying i've spent £800 for nothing? ahh, i see that you're now saying "may" not save them.... it was "you're dreaming if you think it's going to save you" a few posts back of course i think it's going to save me, why would i think otherwise? thats why i have it, and thats why they make them -

what exactly is the point of this topic? to stop everybody skydiving bacause it's too dangerous? i think almost everybody knows it's dangerous... so what do you want people to do about it? i know it's dangerous i know i might need to do my EP's on any jump i know people i know might die now what? what do you want me to do that i'm not already doing? this topic reminds me of that shite American cop program with the retired dude who obviously still gets a hard on when he thinks of the cops.... "he went straight from hero to zero in 0.5 seconds" "he was only going one place fast, and that was straight to the county jail" "stay safe out there kids" -
as much as this sugar coated, sickly sweet topic makes me want to vomit.... i'll post a picture of my "hunny" thank god i was pissed when i met her she turns my stomach now, but at least she is so greatful everytime i take her out (ugly fuckers are just so greatful to have somebody, could have been worse.. the bitch could have been ginger ) http://home.indy.rr.com/kevinandjill/ugly.jpg

he should be charged with murder ! unpleasant as it is, robbery is NO reason to be able to kill somebody... unless you think you're some kind of Rambo, like this clown clearly thought he was -
any chance you could refrase the title of this topic into English? so us British could understand what you're on about

i have no sympathy or tears for those that answer yes to this and then die

why do you have to acknowledge that it will? i know my reserve drills, i know what has to be done on a dive and in what order and in what time frame, acknowledging anything is pointless as it won't make me do anything different i would not choose to die skydiving, but once you're dead, you're dead, so actually dieing doing something doesn't matter to you, because once it has happened, you won't be aware you're dead or that you died skydiving.... but then again, i'm not religeous, thats why i'm not scared of death -

i still can't stop thinking "it won't be me" why would you think you're going to die? why would you do something you think is going to kill you? of course we think it's not going to be you. yes, i know i do something dangerous, but i don't actually think it's going to kill me !!! i don't have a death wish, just a wish to do an exciting activity that hapens to be fairly dangerous too. You've got to think it won't be you, how else can you keep doing something if you think it's genuinly going to kill you? -

you want my honest answer to this? this is not a troll post, this is how i genuinly think about it... i actually DON'T think it's going to be me !! why would i? i dont drive my car and think i'm going to be killed in an accident, i don't cross the road and think i'm going to be killed in an accident.... why would i do something that i think is going to kill me? yes, i know it's dangerous, and it could be me next, but i don't think it will actually be me next. it makes no difference if you're aware of the dangers, you'll still do you EP's as required, you'll not change anything you do (providing you are doing the correct things) just because you think it could be you...so why even think it's going to be you??? how many people genuinly think they are going to die on a dive? not many id' say, so being more aware of anything isn't going to change what you do All being more aware of anything will do is make you more nervous on a dive, not a good idea ! you might as well think it's not going to be you and relax a bit more and be in more control due to less stress @dgskydive ... do you genuinly think you're going to die when you jump? if you don't think 100% you are going to die (and why would you do something you were 100% certain was going to kill you?) then you have an element of "it's not going to be me" which goes against what your post is about . -

Well, don't feel sorry for me, I'm not paranoid at all. Rather, I have a healthy, realistic outlook about life in the US. I know what potential threats there are, and as the father of 4 and husband to a disabled wife, I know it's incumbant upon me to protect them from harm. I also know that it's far more effective to protect myself and my family with a firearm rather than a bow and arrow or an axe. All of your statements only imply a degree of paranoia when you look at the situation through the glass dimly. I find it interesting that you find the US paranoid but not the Swiss. it was this bit that made me feel sorry for you (plus the follow up statement) i live in England, even though you've not mentioned the dangers you feel you face on a daily basis, i can imagine what you mean. I have none of the "realistic ideas" that you have, about my life in England, yes England has it's fair share of problems (john rich can dig up some news quotes to prove that) BUT, the examples given are a tiny minority, certainly not enough of those things happen to make me feel the need to own a gun to protect my loved ones. I feel the average opinion on guns by the average American is more of a statement of the society they live in, than the person they are
-
Yawn, I wonder if you ever have spoken with ANY police officer in the US that is WILLING to try and go house to house conficating guns. I wonder how many officers would still try it after say the first 50 of their dept. are cut to ribbons by superior firepower and accuracy, including field tactics. I know some cops who are SF and or SPECWAR and THEY don't wanna try that. The ONLY people willing to give up their guns are called VICTIMS. this post is a classic, i might have it printed on a t-shirt

why would the UN waste its time doing that? i say let them keep their guns and all the macho retards who get an erection by mearly looking at their "six shooter" can keep believing they're real big men with their real big toys

i find it amazing that some women who did the JFTC are smokers How do they justify smoking and banging the drum for cancer research ? do they equate the possible cancer they are trying to give themselves and breast cancer as totally different things? Is one kind of cancer kind of ok to be trying to give yourself but another kind of cancer is terrible and worth raising funds for finding cures? how do the smokers look breast cancer victims in the eye? i know i'd feel a total twat being a smoker and then trying to raise money for cancer awareness and cures !
