  1. I work at the Orlando tunnel and like Ari said, we take kids 3 and up... we actually have a 3 year old regular (Haley), she comes in once or twice a week and flies w/ her dad... she loves to fly and she flies on her own, shes really good w/ right turns but has a lil trouble w. left turns and she understands the basic concept of going up and down, however, she is only 3 so at that age its all more like a basic concept, rather than feeling and understanding how the wind works... shes in our new brochure if you get your hands on it... i personally believe that the younger the better, but from wat i have seen i would say 5-8 would be a great age to start, because at that age kids are fearless and dont really think bout the dangers or gettin hurt, they just get back up and try it again, tryin to coach them can be a lil tricky due to the fact that wen most kids are good enough to show off to spectators on their bellys, thats all they want to do, instead of continuing their progress to become better freeflyers as they all want to be... i guess i started typing and forgot, so its a lil long but i hope you find it helpful... *Itchy Life is all about experiences... 3. it all depends on which way you have to bail... and how good your back flying is... most pple including myself find it better to bail on your back... however what i always tell pple wen coaching sit-fly is never extnd your legs if you feel outa control, it WILL launch you straight into the glass and it WILL hurt... *Itchy (SVO) Life is all about experiences... 4. i havent been to Eloy 'yet', but here in florida its nice all year round and from Orlando you have lake wales, z hills, deland, and sebastian within 45mins-1 hour away, and you can stop by the tunnel in orlando as well... 4 great DZ's and a tunnel within reasonable driving distance... 5. i took Hapkido and Okinawate 10 years ago, and i wish i coulda stuck w/ it... its a great 'discipline' w/ lots of forms that help you w/ technique... also its not free fighting, its fighting w/ "style"... where straight punches and follow throughs dont fly, its mainly back hand wen it comes to face punches and all hits are in a "hit and retrieve" manner... hope this helps and i hope it works out... blue skies *Itchy (SVO) Life is all about experiences...
