It was out of the reserve container and stille covered by my main risers and webbing. I bet I could have been able to get most of my hand inside the toggle. I can usually see some red but this way way more than usual. The rigger said it was most likely caused by me picking up the rig by risers.

Yesterday I had my reserve toggle come out of my container. I could see about half of the toogle below my webbing. A rigger at the DZ used a flat "y" shaped tool to push it back in. Is my reserve ok? What possible problems could this cause?

0:4:0 Not so good weather. Today landed standing in the middle of the peas with a little knee surf! I was a proud boy for a few hours. -
Im just off student status and want to get into RW. I already have a nice suit with booties and such. I am at complete loss of what to do now. What do I need to focus on?
-
Then I shall buy beer when the time comes... hopefully soon.

I dont think birds have scent glands. Maybe they do...... I have a bird and that little shit sneaks up on you and bites your toes, then he laughs! I am going to eat that bastard. -
I think.... If you are in turbulence and you fly in partial brakes you are slowing the foward speed of the canopy. The reduction of wind into the nose causes the pressure in the cells to go down. With the lower pressure the canopy is more susecptable to turbulence. Try to avooid it before hand and if you are in it prepare to plf, hopefully you wont have to. Dont try to adjust for the little bumps but if the is a large change in heading react to it. Thats my 2 cents and I am a 30 jump wonder.

There is also the french tank with two gears for foward and 6 for reverse.

O diggyde. You gots me! Fine... I wont kill you this time.

I just learned about this at a scott miller course. Turburlence caused by buildings or objects up wind. It doesnt take a huge object to cause turbulence hundreds of feet away. I think its something like the height of the object times ten is the size of the disturbence. So, a 30 foot building will create turbulence up to 300 feet. I may be way off but that is how I remember it. Also, I think the best thing is to try and avoid it before the jump by knowing where turbulence may be and if you are in it all you can do is ride it out. Take whatever I say with a huge grain of salt and get some experienced guys to chime in also.

I hate it so much that I am quitting tomorrow. Taking some time off to relax.

2nd solo jump ever. Thought I was going to land on the runway and decided it was better to land there and pay beer than make a low turn. Paid my beer fine. Just took Scott Millers course Bumped myself of a load because of incoming storm

Hey Ben, Im going to be out there on saturday and sunday. Hopefully the King Air is fixed by then. This is going to be my last weekend in town so I want to jump as much as I can. Plus I just got back my tax return and I reallllly need to blow it.

If you did make trades like that ops would catch on soon enough. There is a client here that won the lottery and the account is almost nill. Some people have the right intention by putting the money away in a firm but having it corrupts their thinking and make horrible decisions. Winning 12 million dollars after making 30,000 a year would be a huge test for anybody. I hope that I would have enough foresight to make the right decision and not act on impulse.

That storm messed up my canopy course! I am so PISSED! I was still able to take the ground school and had lots of one-on-one time with scott miller. Even gave me some packing tips. BUT DAMMIT, I wanted to jump.
-
If they are going o blow their cash then maybe you should get paid. Make trades all day every day. Unethical? YES! Fun? YES YES!

Glad I could help.

Ahhh yes... "loose security". She may have been a warden before she meet him.

Is it required to have a crew canopy? I can barely afford jump tickets let alone another canopy. I know that there is a couple of guys in Titusville that do crew but they have been in a few world records and I dont know how they would take a newbie wanting to jump with them.

Its going to come back and bite you in the ass as long as you are with her. Every fight BAM she brings it up. Forget to get her something at the store BAM she brings it up. Best bet is to build a time machine and go back and fix this, thats the only logical solution.

That stupid ass storm is going to mess up my canopy course! It can wait a day the come and screw things up. Damn hurricanes always fucking things up.

I am interested in doing some casual crew. I am jumping a Tri 175 without the crew mods. How do I go about getting involved in this? Is there plenty of crew jumpers in central FL? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
