I know this is kind of a contovercial subject so there's no right or wrong here but I just want to hear what you guys have to say about the topic. So here's the deal: I'm getting a rig with no cypress and am going to jump it to the max. It's a personal decision and I think is more mental than anything. I just want to hear some things the more experienced jumpers have to say about this issue. Tell me, what do u think? I don't mean to be telling you guys what to say or anything but just for this purpose, please pick a side...don't flip-flop: ither you are for it or against it, and why?

I appreciate the effort, but it's just not what I'm looking for. However, if you can give me her number I'm sure we can work something out.

Ok awsome guys, thanks a lot for helping out, I think I've got what I need. Blue ones...

Yea that's a really good one. I will most definately consider it, but am just going to wait a little longer and see if anyone else submits anything. Thank you.

I don't have any specific criteria but basically "poster-worthy" whatever that might mean. Just something that stands out like an awsome facial expression in flight or like a crazy formation (hopefully not belly) on a nice sunny day with cool clouds. Just anything that you think would catch your eye and make you be like "Yea man! That's awsome!".

Hey, hows it going? I am looking for some nice pictures to be donated by those who have them to be put on an advertising poster around a college. I run a little skydiving thing over there and I basically try to get as many people as I can to skydive. So if you guys are kind enough to share some really cool pics I'd really appreciate it. Obviously I'll credit the photo. Looking forward to it. Later.

Sickest pics in this thread by far. Well, that girl at the CN tower is pretty good too.

hey man, nice mr bill -
Hey, if you're from Ottawa or the region, listen in to CKDJ 107.9fm Wedensday (Nov 15) @ 3 pm. Edit: By the way, it is about skydiving.

Yea, I had that happen to me. It was the first time I really felt comfortable in freefall. From that moment on I was so much more aware of everything going on. Sometimes a jump like that is well worth it.

You can pretty much tell a student anything and they'll be ok with it as long as they get to jump out of an airplane and will probably have no idea that they are actually getting ripped off. Or, if they only got a short jump but were charged a discounted rate, that's probably OK, too. They probably didn't. It's just unethical in my oppinion to do that kind of stuff. They can get away with it once or twice but you can't buy ur reputation back. Once you have a bad image then it's pretty much over. You'll go a longer way if you tell the truth. People don't like being lied to.

I hear that.

My goals are 1. GET A RIG! 2. Learn headown well enough to be able to jump with other head-downs. 3. Nail my sit. 4. Stay alive and not screw around with Murph. 5. Have the most fun of my life. Blue Skies Edit: plus, get as many people as I can to get involved in the sport.

Any one seen this "crazy skydive/skiing video"
freeflyit replied to lundis's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Man, that is so chilling. Definately gonna try that. -
Now I'm really confused, S/L or AFF??
freeflyit replied to skyflygirl1's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Definately AFF. It is so much better. First off because you get to experinece freefall and learn about stability and basic maneuvers. Secondly, an instructor is there with you so you have a lesser chance of f***ing up. Third, it's way more fun. Go AFF, you won't regret it. -
Yea, nice going dude. I keep thinking that I should get mine, but then i think,,,it's a whole jump! Keep it up.

"I was one of the lucky ones to have even been born at all." I like that.

How about the overconfident guy who laughs at his own jokes way too hard and they're not even funny. You gotta love that guy.

I know I only have a bit over a hundred jumps but I just want to make a suggestion, you can take it or leave it. I found that when you go into head down,,just relax, don't fight the winds but rather just flow with it. I don't have a lot of control as to forward and backward movement yet, but I can hold it pretty well. Just practice man, don't try to fight it too much, just flow with it. That's my 2 cents.

>>Now, our DZ is rather small and no one likes humiliating "that guy" to the point of him leaving(with the exception of a couple of people here,) so we need a combination of indirect and direct things to do to "that guy" inorder to try get rid of him!! THanks again for you suggerstions.

I second that.

I'm not embarassed, but if you did fell comfortable, then you wouldn't have done that. You're always accusing me of "throwing tantrums". That is what bothers me. And advice like "if you can't spell a word right, you shouldn't do it" What kind of legal advice is that? I know all this stuff already. What I was looking for in the first place was some real hard lines that I could put into my waiver, to draft a copy before I go to the lawers, not people telling me to seek legal advice, I already knew that. And that last part about me not caring, the people I know and jump with and my dropzone I really do care about 110%. I'm not usually like this, but when you're always accusing me of crying and crap like that, why would I care?
