  1. Well, that is an option since I want a macdaddy Javelin oddesey. Pimped out with all the options
  2. Anyone ever gone down to Zhills to Javelin and toured the place? I want to go down there and check it out and aslo get measured up while im there. I emailed them off the website 4 days ago or so, and am waiting to hear back. Is that th best way to go about this? Or any suggestions....thanks
  3. Not hard at all...ask some people there if you have to. But just knee down at the edge of tailgate, look over edge and grab the bar tight. Then rollout the door...watching your handles to not snag....and hang on! Haha You will see the bar when you walk up into the skyvan. Alot of people have done it there and can give you pointers.....got it on vid. Just have to edit it a little and then maybe post it on skydiving movies or you can do a search there and see if someone has posted that. have FUN!!
  4. Currently sitting in PHX airport waiting for my flight home from my Eloy adventure. Did 9 days of fun! Weather was great, people were super friendly and I give huge props to Eloy and all the staff. It was a little cold in the mornings but I think it was 75 or so each day when it warmed up. Got to jump the skyvan several times, which was alot of fun. I never had jumped it before. Even did a few exits hanging from the bar under the tailgate! That was a blast.....a must do if you have not done it before. A big thanks goes out to Ty, Sean, Matt, Jenn and Travis for the sweet ass pics from my last jump..and of course, my first headdown hand dock!! Sorry if i didnt mention everyone, but cant wait to return in january.
  5. Just finished day 2 at ELOY! The dropzone is great and everyone is super friendly
  6. If you go on their dropzone website, there is a number for a shuttle service.
  7. Doing Motel6 when im there. So its still close, but my own place and all. Cant wait to get the coaching and learn a bunch.....hopefully
  8. I decided to get a room and do that for this trip. When I go back in jan for a 5day trip, we are going to use the bunkouse. Being solo this trip, I just opted to spend the cash and do some recon for the next trip. Thanks for all the input so far. I am excited to come out there and do a bunch of jumps and coach jumps. Andrew
  9. Well, this is my FIRST(beer?) bunkhouse experience so I am trying to gauge it. Sounds like a car will be a must. As for the trip...I am solo on it. The next trip in Jan will be with 3 buddies, so a team room might work then. Just dont want to get there and go...holy shit this blows....ya know?!!?
  10. I am headed out to Eloy for a week of jumps(in Nov) and coaching and am trying to get the lowdown on the bunkhouse. Pro's and con's. Am i better off getting a room somewhere and spending the ca$h?? Any input would be appreciated. Also debating on a rental car. Dont want to go stir crazy being "stuck" on the dz. This will be my first time out there. Thanks
  11. Are there any special requirements to do a balloon jump? License wise or anything else? Have my A and 120 jumps.
  12. Good luck, im sure you will do great!
  13. I think the only way to get it to your computer is itunes...but i could be wrong
  14. Well, ill be burnin airline miles for the ticket...so thats free, and ill be using hotel points for the hotel...so thats free! So most of the cash will be for jumps and maybe the rental, unless i use points for that too. I would like to hit up more than one dz too. Ill have to do some research and ask around at my dz and see what they say.
  15. So I am thinking of going on a roadtrip/vacation in November. I have three weeks off, the week before turkey day, the week of, and one after. Where should I go to do some jumping? I was thinking somewhere out west like cali or arizona. Any help woould be appreciated. Want to go for 6 or 7 days. I will be flying out to whatever place it is and gettin a hotel and rental car, spending most of the time at a dz. With maybe some night time exploring when not jumping. Andrew
  16. Good for you!! You can go to flightinfo.com and do some searches on there about that place and others. Be careful about what they "promise" you.
  17. Diablo- Which school in FL is it? If its 10months im guessin allATP or comair acadamy type place?
  18. Pilot as my career and new skydiver as my fun pastime.
  19. Congrats!! I cant wait to jump my new mirage when im out there next weekend...weather permitting of course
  20. I bought a Z1 helmet and a altimaster 3 glowface altimiter..i think from paragear. Then bought newman gloves at the dz. Then ordered a mirage G4, cypress, reserve and am buying my main from one of the guys at my dz. You will get many opionions on what type gear and why used is better than new...and vice versa. If you can afford new, thats what i would do. Its sized exactly for you. But thats just my opinion and I only have 29 jumps. Hope thsi helps. Andrew

  22. Glad you folks approve of the jump and the vid. As for packing your rig JG...haha, you sure you want that!?! I will need some more assistance this weeked to learn more packing! Should be there fri and sunday.
  23. Oh yeah, the last jump was packed about 70% by me with the help of J at the dz. He helped with the flaking and such, but i did most of the work putting it in the bag, stowing lines and closing the container!! And it opened pretty nicely
  24. Update....did 5 more jumps. D1,D2,E1,E2, and F1. All passed!! the barrell rolls, front and back loops were hella fun!! And the tracking was pretty sweet too....except i needed to de-arch alittle more. But overall i did pretty well the instructors said. Also gotto do my first diving exit and some exits with no instructors hanging on to me. That was a little nerve racking at first, but getting better. The nerves seem to be high the first jump every weekend, but im having a blast!!
