They are completely different disasters, one natural, one man-made. One had ample warning, one had none. GWB didn't act for a week, then did on harrassment from the nation. Obama has to let the corporations, who know the most about this, handle this; his job is to lean on them to fix this and pay for this, they are doing that as best they can. I don't see where Obama has failed the nation here. He is responsible for prudent dealings with this mess, not the mess itself, just as GWB wasn't obviously responsible for Katrina, but responsible for a lackluster response. -
Yeah there war war trials from 1946-1948 not as publicized as the Nuremburg trials though. To the OP, great freaking video. Thank you. Finally after the many ignorant replies, we get a relevant one. Do you have the name of the trials or a link? Here's a start. http://www.worldwar2database.com/html/warcrimes.htm Info plus links to other sites with more info and even more links. It was pretty tough to find. I had to Google "Trials for Japanese War Crimes" to find it. And there we go, back to the other kinds of posts.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tenth_Amendment_to_the_United_States_Constitution I know you don't like that amendment, but it's there for a reason. You don't like it, start a campaign to get it repealed. I'd like to see your slogan. It's a tug of war, the 10th. When push comes to shove, the feds win. Show me when the states have told the feds to FO and it's stuck. But while you're at it, still avoiding and running from the issues, look at what your source said of Obama: Medical Marijuana Laws – As of March 2010[update], 14 states (Alaska, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maine, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington) have passed legislation which permit the use of medical marijuana.[9] California has a proposed November 2010 constitutional amendment which would go one step further, and legalize marijuana use by persons over age 21 for any purpose whatsoever.[10] The Obama administration announced in October 2009 that it advised federal prosecutors not to target medicinal marijuana users, or their suppliers, in states that have passed such laws.[11] Awww, doesn't that shit on your, "I hate Obama" parade? -

At least bush flew over it. Does Obama even know where Louisiana is? Maybe some one should point it out to him on a map so he can visit. Also, I see he finally got around to talking to Tony Hayward after he was blasted in the media about it. Holy afterthought bat man, maybe it is a good idea! There was a reason he flew over Had he stopped there would have been huge delays in getting some supplies in due to the security the President warrants when he flies in some where. He told the states leaders he would help They declined until their incompetence forced them to let the Feds help. The Katrina story was distorted for people like Lucky You know, those who take the talking points and then only feel about something This is canned rhetoric not parroted by every conservative who read or heard of Ms Manslaughteress's book detailing why, years later of course, that GWB only flew over. WHy did it take so long to come up with that one? Furthermore, the real rub is that GWB didn't send in troops/help/supplies for the 1st week after Katrina, you still have yet to address that one. BECAUSE HE HAD TO HAVE THE STATER PERMISSION AND THEY WOULD NOT LET HIM DUDE But of course that fact is not widely reported because it did not support the story line you carry yet today The feds trump the state. If you haven't figured that out, best to ya. The feds can overrule the states on a jurisdictional basis at any time. -

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hurricane_Katrina Hurricane Katrina formed over the Bahamas on August 23, 2005 and crossed southern Florida as a moderate Category 1 hurricane, causing some deaths and flooding there before strengthening rapidly in the Gulf of Mexico. The storm weakened before making its second landfall as a Category 3 storm on the morning of Monday, August 29 in southeast Louisiana It killed people 6 days before it hit Louisiana, they knew its general path and strength potential. Having sufficient guard / reserve standing by is called prudent and intelligent, something your hero does not have. Point is: THEY HAD AMPLE WARNING. They had some Coast Gaurd there, but basically ignored it for a week. I'm sure not, would you cry if Obama spent tax dollars to repair that or is it just fun playing this side of the fence right now? You'll jump over if Obama allocated money for the cleanup. - GWB didn't prepare the gaurd or anyone, knowing it would be a huge mess - GWB didn't send tropps or any relevantg help to the gulf even after the degree of damage was done and known for over a week. There's 3 and 4. If you're gonna *try* to escape under the guise of typos, have a good time, at least you admit you're clueless. I guess that beats having no real response, just like GWB. Cite your assertion. Whatever the truth, is this the best you can do? -

Ahhhh, then you can explain wrting this: Does Obama even know where Louisiana is? Maybe some one should point it out to him on a map so he can visit. Just man-up, you didn't know Obama had been there and decided to guess he had not. Now we'll hear your explanation as to you just being sarcastic. It isn't evengood sarcasm, as he's been there. Ya fucked up, son, admit it and quit lookign silly. I didn't, Einstein; jclalor wrote that in post #7: Katrina was just a bit different with people dying and all on live TV, while Bush over flew New Orleans at 40,00ft. You're running and no misdirecting, as you're clueless as to what events have taken place. You aren't even astute enough to know Obama has been to the gulf at least 4 times since the spill. FEMA would only get in the way, they have no real substantial knowledge of these kinds of disaters, not to the proportion BP and the oil companies do. Of course if he did, now you would bitch that he's using tax dollars to fix BP's mess. Now, back to you saying: 1) Does Obama even know where Louisiana is? Maybe some one should point it out to him on a map so he can visit. 2) Of course I know Obama has been to the Gulf, he was just here in Pensacola the other day. BTW, Obama went to Louisiana on May 2nd, pure genius: http://mediamatters.org/research/201005280006 Quit watching FOX news and maybe you'll have the truth. -

This I struggle with. Dilligence to clean up and then repayment of damages? What's the problem and why should the gov not ensure that? Should we leave these poor gulf residents and BP in the same courtroom so BP can walk all over them? You gotta be shittin me. I guess what bothers me more than anything is folks like you Lucky who are so damned sure their answer is the correct one. I said I struggle with it. There is pro and con to it. You, and folks like you don't bother with possibilities. Very closed minded all the while spouting about how open minded you are. OK, now that you've gotten your angry ad hominem ran off your chest, address the issue: Dilligence to clean up and then repayment of damages? What's the problem and why should the gov not ensure that? Should we leave these poor gulf residents and BP in the same courtroom so BP can walk all over them? You gotta be shittin me. I'll enumerate it for you so you can avoid it again: 1) Dilligence to clean up and then repayment of damages? What's the problem and why should the gov not ensure that? 2) Should we leave these poor gulf residents and BP in the same courtroom so BP can walk all over them? -

Do you have a clue as to what you're talking about? Obama has been there 4 times as of June 14th. http://www.nytimes.com/2010/06/15/us/15spill.html Yea, all Obama has done is to pressure BP into putting 20B in an escrow. What a do-nothing. -

Katrina was just a bit different with people dying and all on live TV, why Bush over flew New Orleans at 40,00ft. Yea, it was completely different, completely forseeable, etc. Connies are trying to retroactivley seek absolution for Katrina.....what a joke. -

I'll start: GWB should have had the reserve, guard, hell, anyone at theready when Katrina was running thru the south. It was forseeable and predictable, even the enormity of it for at least a week, more like a couple weeks. There, that's my critism. Now, your criticism of Obama is what his thoughts are as he wakes up and when he goes to bed. OK, if you have time between your rhetoric, tell us what HE SHOULD BE DOING; it's a matter of substance over semantics in my world, apparently not for yours. What's been offered by whom and why did he turn it down? If you're gonna make a point, at least be semi-comprehensive. Ahhhhhhhh, now I see it, this is just a bastardized attempt to slide political agenda into the oil spill issue. Yea, states rights are important, that's what slave owners used to think. Apparently you don't understand how posturing is how you plea bargain issues, both civilly and criminally. Watch real closely: - Obama: Hey BP, pay for your mess. - BP: Don't we have a 75M cap on these types of disasters? - Obama: I think we need to look into criminal negligence here. - BP: Ya know what, I think we should take the high road here and not hide behind the 75M cap, we'll put 20B in an escrow account. - Obama: I don't think we'll find any criminal negligence here. But I guess you find more love for BP than for all teh families in the gulf and teh ecology. And I dare call conservatives, corporo-fascists. Again, play golf, dn't play golf, go to teh gulf, don't go - go X number of times only, wipe his ass front to back or back to front. You guys have to have an answer as to what he SHOULD DO if you critique what he SHOULDN'T BE DOING. -

Let's see, we have some connies angry that Obama headed to the gulf 5 times so far, saying it was interfering. Now we have another connie saying Obama can't play a round of golf until the last of the oil is mopped up and leak stopped. Other than the obvious, if Obama took a shit wrong you would be disparaging him, tell me what you would direct the president to do and not to do. ..... Says the guy that was blasting Bush during Karina..... Katrina: - Was easily predicted, even the enormity of it - The damage was just rescue and cleanup, very easy and done a million times - GWB didn't prepare the gaurd or anyone, knowing it would be a huge mess - GWB didn't send tropps or any relevantg help to the gulf even after the degree of damage was done and known for over a week. The BP oil spill: - Was completely unpredictable - Caused by a private corporation - was a mess that the gov knew less about than private coprorations, the gov only has a role in ensuring dilligence and repayment, for which Obama has done. So after you dodge those issues, once again dodge the question of what you want Obama to do; go to the gulf- do go, don't play golf, play golf in the gulf, or are you just reaching and out of gas? -

AFG/Iraq didn't attack us, AFG is just diahrea for us, the Russians and most of the free world, there is and will be no victory, just prudent departure. But can't we still have a victory parade ? C-Ya, DJ Sure, why not.

Real fucking awesome. The greatest gen for sure. Fucked thing is that at that time, Japanese guards watching American POW's were killing many of them in anger. Were there trials for that shit? What? The History Expert asking us something that he should know?? Gotta dump on his video? Nice.

You don't have that much. You're not that important to me. It's not about me, it's about your integrity and your ability to answer questions rather than run and dodge. What do you think people opine when they see anyone with strong political beliefs that run from questions?
-
I'd say your dissappointing yourself by having such strong convictions and not being able to supporrt them. You misunderstand, the federal government has to intervien or many states would autocratically decide for themselves and we would have different protections/rights as we cross borders. You know, that 14th thing you conservatives hate. Again, if left to most states, these elements wouldn't be allowed, so the FED GOV deas need to be allowed into these issues. See how the 14th follows the 13th by a year or so? After slavery prohibition on a federal level, southern states said that was a federal isse so as long as we don't cross state lines or make it a federal jurisdictional issue, we can still do it. OF course the 14th immediately follow making the BOR and reallly all relevant amendments and the entire constitution apply to the states. This is why the feds need to be involved, fuck the individual states. 'That election?" Maybe you forgot he was elected 2 times. Maybe too much drinking then for 8 years, huh? I didn't vote for Clinton eitther time, yet I think his presidency was greatly successful, esp fiscally. You can comment on a presidency whether you voted for him/her or not. So what's your opinion of the Clinton presidency and why? The secrecy of the ballot refers to compulsory disclosure, I'm actually proud of who I voted for, you apparently are not of who you voted for. Hey, it's your right to keep your ballot choice secret, it's also our choice to opine that your politics are selective and inconsistent. Been drinking again? Also, you missed a couple points, let's see if have what it takes to actually answer them. ---------> Ahhh, I asked about taxation, not outlays; see if you can answer the questions asked. So, are tax increases good or bad? Explain/support why by using theory AND application via history. I don't expect an answer. ---------> So you think us spending 8 times what #2 spends, we match the world $ for $ and you say we need that: why? What requires we keep that massive level going because???????? Who is out to get us? WHat technology do they have that requires we get sick and massive with this kind of spending? Support.

Ahhh, I asked about taxation, not outlays; see if you can answer the questions asked. So, are tax increases good or bad? Explain/support why by using theory AND application via history. I don't expect an answer. That's your opinion, but as with guns, it is their business. You might disagree, but that is the law of the land. I wonder if there were people (in teh south) saying slavery isn't the gov's business? See, when you have states running amuck, w/o gov intervention there would be totalitarian BS as with Mexico and other countries where isolated factions, we call them states, could just make up tehir own rules. So you think us spending 8 times what #2 spends, we match the world $ for $ and you say we need that: why? What requires we keep that massive level going because???????? Who is out to get us? WHat technology do they have that requires we get sick and massive with this kind of spending? Support. Clinton didn't please you? Why? Of course you won't disclose that, as it would easily prove my point; you're a classic conservative: - Blow up the military - Run up the debt - Shoot before negotiate - Kill social benefits - Etc, etc, etc BTW, telling who you didn;t vote for does nothing. aybe you went with the loons and voted Libertarian, maybe you abstained. The secrecy of the ballot refers to compulsory disclosure, I'm actually proud of who I voted for, you apparently are not of who you voted for. No, actually you confirmed them quite well. Just keep pretending to be bipartisan while being a typical conservative.
-
when was Sarah Palin ever relevant? Your party selected her and her senile boyfriend to lead the country and they got 59M votes. how many times do I have to tell you I don't belong to a party. You keep claiming to know things about me. But you don't. My bad, you're an extremist conservative who thinks taxes are bad for the economy, abortion and gay marriage are also bad, pro-military expansion, yet you vote Democratically. Tell ya what, list all the presidents you've voted for in order. I'm guessing that won't be provided, right?

Thinking about relocating? No, I'm not a Republican, Enronite, etc.....
