  1. I agree. Too bad we'll never find out if she could've won. Are you serious? She's a Bush clone; are you going to tell me 4 or 8 more years of Bush is a good thing?
  2. OH, I thought this was an Easter thread!!!
  3. Brought to us from the corrupt party that gave us Ollie North and..... I don't recall 500,000 times.
  4. Especially considering he had me quoted as writing something about a right wing POS, when in fact, someone else wrote that. Perhaps he should read with more comprehension.
  5. Can someone please translate this into English for me? Yes, I can. Anvil didn't read with enough comprehension, so he thought I wrote that about right wing POS.
  6. Let's see, how do I word this...... oh yea, GO BACK AND REREAD MY POST, I DIDN'T CALL YOU A RIGHT WING POS, SOMEONE ELSE DID. READ FOR COMPREHENSION. Hard to believe the guy who tells everyone else to reread for comprehension, misread a post and thought I berated him...... laughable really. THIS IS HILLARIOUS: Reading is fundamental is an utterly hilarious comment - and an truthful one. ...an truthful one. As for Bush screwing the country from every angle, start with this and I will supply more: National Debt: before Clinton = 4T after Clinton = 5.5T currently = 8.4T (after a little over 5 years of Bush, projected to be 11T by Bush's 8 years end). So start by taking a bite out of that, then I will get back with more stuff Bush has hosed us with.
  7. 2ND REPOST - PERHAPS YOU KEEP MISSING IT. gONNA REPLY OR CONCEDE? HERE, RUSH, I'LL REPOST IT FOR YOU. PLEASE SHOW ME THE ATTACK. WHILE YOU'RE AT IT, RESPOND TO THE REST OF IT OR CONCEDE. FOR CLARITY, I'LL PLACE MY STATEMENTS IN BOLD. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In Reply To -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In Reply To -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Just saying that you can't believe that everyone can not think that Bush breaks all laws makes you someone that can not talk about the issues. It is very telling where you must get ALL your news from. As for Clinton, HE DID NOT GET IMPEACHED FOR GETTING A BJ. Just stating that shows you do not know the facts or you choose to ignore them. Do I think Clinton was a criminal? Hell yes, he addmittied to it. Last time I knew lieing under oath (FOR A SEXUAL HARRASSMENT SUIT) is called purgurey and is a felony And by the way, what would the media do to any Rebublican that would have gotten into the same situation? THEY would have piled on just like they do to Bush today..... Bush has broken no laws that we know of. The charges run wild but with no fact to back them up they wither and die, (just like the once great Dem party in doing) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Just saying that you can't believe that everyone can not think that Bush breaks all laws makes you someone that can not talk about the issues. Please post reference. I agree, punctuation is overrated. Thanks for making the issue about me though. Back to the issue: “Bush approved intelligence leak" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quote -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It is very telling where you must get ALL your news from. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Oh, that’s next thread where we discuss from where I get my news. I don’t understand how this affects the issue; “Bush approved intelligence leak" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quote -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As for Clinton, HE DID NOT GET IMPEACHED FOR GETTING A BJ. Just stating that shows you do not know the facts or you choose to ignore them. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So if you are successfully able to establish that I don’t know jack, then Bush must be innocent, right? I just don’t understand your angle here, you could hypothetically make your proof and Bush would still be Bush regardless of me. Learn how to argue the issue, no the person making the argument. Back to the issue: “Bush approved intelligence leak" I understand why you just replied and didn’t post quotes from me, so here is the one to which you wee referring: Furthermore, the Repubs went after Clinton for being Clinton, not for some silly BJ and subsequent lie. The last part, the subsequent lie. See, I do know the technical reason why Clinton was impeached. Truth is, Clinton dared to against the Republican machine and was impeached for something the world other than neo-con US felt was very ridiculous. Again, neo-con US was right and 90% of the rest of the world was wrong. Factually, I doubt you realize why Clinton was impeached, the four charges where 2 were handed down as impeachments. Furthermore, I doubt you know what the process is for indictment and removal, % of votes required at each level and all kinds of other related stuff. Not that Clinton’s or Bush’s guilt or innocence rides on that knowledge. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quote -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Do I think Clinton was a criminal? Hell yes, he addmittied to it. Last time I knew lieing under oath (FOR A SEXUAL HARRASSMENT SUIT) is called purgurey and is a felony. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As an aside, it’s hard to read someone tell me I don’t know what I’m talking about when they wrote: “addmittied” “purgurey” Was there a sexual harassment suit? I don’t think there was, I think it was a Congressional investigation that was stemmed from Ken Starr‘s preliminary investigation. Oh well, same thing, right? Was Clinton sued in civil court or tried in criminal court fro the Lewinsky deal? Uh, I think not. In some states we still have laws prohibiting Open and Notorious Cohabitation, but they are as enforced as much as spitting on the sidewalk laws. Interrogating a person in the 1990’s for getting a BJ in that capacity is entirely ridiculous and a witchhunt. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quote -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And by the way, what would the media do to any Rebublican that would have gotten into the same situation? THEY would have piled on just like they do to Bush today..... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Great point, the media went after Clinton just like they did Reagan/Bush for Iran/Contra. Speaking of which, that was an example of scumbags being guilty as hell, but there not being enough proof. So that deflates your, “liberal media” theory when you discuss the media going after politicians, as they did with Clinton. Again, it’s ok to talk about the media, but they only report and sometimes skew the facts; doesn’t change the actual guilt or innocence of the politician. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quote -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bush has broken no laws that we know of. The charges run wild but with no fact to back them up they wither and die, (just like the once great Dem party in doing) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wiretapping, torture, and the Libby scandal; don’t be so sure there won’t be charges coming down, especially if the House becomes Democratically controlled. Polls have the Dems very high as a result of the Republican corruption. And with gas prices even higher than Republican despise, I think the Dems will take back the House and maybe the Senate. So if anything the Dems have an upswing in popularity. You must have forgotten to address these issue I posted in response to you: 1) Actually he's the 2nd favorite to women, behind JFK. I think you mean you view him as a pig for the way he is to women. OK, so don't date him, but many women would.... and prolly do. 2) Furthermore, the Repubs went after Clinton for being Clinton, not for some silly BJ and subsequent lie. They would have impeached him for whatever, once they had a majority in congress for a bit. It was pathetic and the Repubs opened a door that they will be walking thr very soon if Congress turns Democratic, or at least the House. 3) What is this world coming to: A president held to political standards!!! Uh, impeachment is a political process, just as censure and all other actions. Do you think the Clinton impeachment was criminal? Is it a crime that is enforced to commit adultery? They call it, "High Crimes and Misdemeanors," but in a political sense. Kind of like when a corporation kills people; it's a civil infraction. 4) OK, so Bush f'd up and left him there, so what? He is in his position, just like Brown of FEMA and now "IT IS WHAT IT IS," regardless of what some wish it was. 5) Clinton should have shoved it down Monica's throat to ensure no leakage, or,.... pulled out a dirty sock and emptied it there and no one would know the diffffff........ coulda - shoulda - ISN'T; Specter is there and making his assertions, just as Clarence Thomas did. Bush ran him out and placed his clone there, but Specter is there and Bush can't do shit but face the same music Clinton did..... Clinton's gotta be loving it. 6) Factoid: Clinton had a 50% approval rating after impeachment..... what is Bush's before? Maybe 35% or so? Pathetic.
  8. Stop that. I'm not old. And I'm NOT in denial. you are
  9. If the stupid people in the audience need the reference spelled out for them, then they can't appreciated it anyway. Don't worry, they know who they are. {{Or maybe they don't}} In all fairness, The Jerk came out before many of the members were born, so I felt it fair to qualify it.
  10. Punt mine and meet your maker..... not joking Standards are actually quite aggressive dogs and huge. A lot of ignorance about poodles - I had it before my GF got one. BTW, they are basically the most intelligent dogs around. Don't use the yipy little toys as a baseline for what poodles are; they often win various agility meets, and other contests that require intense training.
  11. - Reread for comprehension. - Reread and concentrate on comprehension this time. - Get your facts straight and get back with us. - Reading is fundamental. The thread has been officially hijacked to the Swifties vs. Kerry topic! Ha! Quite funny. - Re-read for comprehension. Read what is stated and not what you want to see. - Read again. Reading is fundamental. - I haven't lost the argument at all...you're ignoring facts. READ THE POST FROM FUNJUMPERS INITIAL POST ON DOWN. READ FOR COMPREHENSION. Why is it important to berate people? You brought in the Swiftboat vets on the first post of the second page, so you hijacked the thread that was entitled, “Am I the only one that still likes Bush?” If you think, “sKerry,” as you put it, was so bad and Bush was a better choice and you want the general populous to buy that, which they apparently don’t due to crushingly low ratings, then you must establish how Kerry would have done worse. OK, so he is rich and spoiled, as you say; does that mean he’s a train wreck? You would have a huge burden to overcome since Bush has fubared this country into such a mess from every angle. As for berating people by inferring they need to reread and that reading is fundamental is your frustration coming through. Instead if berating, make your arguments. To claim Bush is a great or even a suitable president because Kerry is a POS fails to do that, regardless of the argument topic. I could say GM cars are good because Ford and Mopar suck, but that doesn’t make GM good. Thread topic: Am I the only one that still likes Bush? Conclusion: Apparently not, but the numbers of Bush supporters are shrinking. Anvil: Support Bush by establishing that he is worthy via the merits of his actions as president and I would love to argue that with you.
  12. The debt will be doubled by Bush, 5.5T to 11T...... LMAO
  13. *** For you and I perhaps that's true, but for PODUS to knowingly and willingly lie in response to a direct question posed...while under oath...there IS a difference. At least there SHOULD be! Totally disagree. Ken Melman, GOP chairman/spokesman said on Meet The Press: 1) Congress had the exact same intelligence that Bush did 2) Congress had the exact same intelligence that Bush did Tim Russeert: How about the independant review by the Washington Post..... 3) Congress had basically the same ...... Bush cherry-picked the intelligence on Iraq to sell it to Congress for support, just as he disclosed calssified intelligence to gain support, then when things go to fuck he turns and says, "they were for it too." A lie by ommission is still a lie: Bush lied to Congress by suppressing intelligence from Congress. Clinton lied so his wife wouldn't know he got a happy BJ SAME THING????????
  14. Naw, ya kinda dance around it, denounce them, then agree with their position, denounce, etc... But this isn;t about you or me, it's about what the pres has done, and that's fuck this country from every angle. We can speculate what Kerry would have done, but we know what Bush has done and that leaves a lot of room for Kerry's hypothetical mass failure..... I think it's a hard argument to make that Kerry would have fucked this country Bush-style.
  15. Heros to their party. Not heros to the US. The next election will not bring much change. We are in Iraq and while an exit would be a good idea, a fast exit would be very bad for all parties. The biggest problem is that the Democrats have not been able to bring a canidate to the table that was even close to a common man. When a spoiled rich Republican from an oil family is seen as more of a common man than the best that the Democrats could bring. Well, that says tons about the best the Democrats have. I would like to see both parties bring a really good canidate to the table. IMO Bush was the better canidate last time. When has a president ever beenclose to a common man? Heros, the polls say they were heros. Clinton had a 60% approval as he left office, I just heard on the boob-tube. He had 50% just after the impeachment. Even the haters loved his economy. Now even the Bush lovers hate his economy and overall policy.
  16. Actually it's a policy that unfortunately must be taken because of the rising ability and willingness of terrorist organizations such as Al Qaeda and Jemaah Islamiyah. Terrorist used to be just street thugs that law enforcement could deal with; now these dudes are as advanced and capable as some professional militaries. You obviously suggest we just get kicked in the nuts before doing anything...that's great thinking right there. You were the kid who got pummeled in school because you couldn't stand up for yourself and take action, right? Really, and which ones are we missing? All kinds of rights to privacy. Privacy is nowhere in the Const, but it is the center of many decisions. The right to have your door be the threshold of privacy is gone, now the cops may enter your house, remove you and then get the warrant. How many anti-Bushers were removed from pro-Bush rallies when not acting out? And then charges were dropped. 8th Amendment against cruel and unusual treatment was attempted to be overthrown. Seperations of church and state have been challenged and some revoked.
  17. Becaaaaaaaaause??? What has Bush doen to make you pleased with his performance?
  18. So the presidency is reduced to a haircut? - Let's talk annual deficit, 230B+ to 500- - Let's talk national debt, 5.5T as Bush took office, 8.4T now, and soaring. - Let's talk civil rights - Let's talk dividion within the country
  19. You're basing your opinion on teh Swift Boat Vets, yet then in teh same paragraph denouncing them. Please post what Bush has done versus what you can honestly say Kerry would have done had he been elected.
  20. So refresshing to see middle ground on Bush. I find people either idolize or hate him with no in-between. The ones who like him refuse to see any fault, and the ones who hate him refuse to give him credit for anything. Richards I, for one, do not idolize him. I think is it more of a case of specific topics or issues debated. I think he was correct going into Iraq. I think more and more evidence (as in the released documents and tapes) show he was a threat to the US. If the Iraq general is to be believed then the WMDs were moved to Syria and other contries. On the domestic front. I don't like his or the congres's spending, the federization of the airport security and medicare drug programs were major FUBARS as far as I am concerned. My point? Arguments are around disagreements. Some of the issues both sides agree on.... So basically, you dislike most of what he's done.
  21. So refresshing to see middle ground on Bush. I find people either idolize or hate him with no in-between. The ones who like him refuse to see any fault, and the ones who hate him refuse to give him credit for anything. Richards I can think of 1 small positive thing he's done, so tell me more...
  22. Well, over and above everything else, that certainly qualifies him to be Pres. I should have voted for him. Since an executive power is to got o war, I thinkit carries much weight.
  23. How about that little debt thingy? After Bush 1 = 4trillion After Clinton = 5.5T Currently = 8.4T and soaring. Many presidents carry a huge rating during war, too. FDR did, Bush 1 did, Bush 2 doees not...
  24. Please post the reasons why. If you do, don't relegate the conversation to pride in America and other subjective matter, just objective stuff like the financial state of the country, security and other substantive issues.
