  1. Finally, someone that remembers that animation. My GF is the nasally guy that says, "We'll never make it."
  2. Then it had to be Rush Limbaugh or the likes.
  3. I'm kinda with you. I don't see how this is a "Republicans murder"?! Really. How do you suggest we classify all the Republican murders then?
  4. >>>>>>>>>>>>>I'm sitting down, so this one is going over my head. How are Republicans implicated in this? It's simple, if she was raped, fondled, etc, then it would have been the doing of a Dem. If she was killed, robbed or lied to, then it was a Republican. Look at the party protocol and you will understand
  5. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081023/ap_on_el_pr/palin_clothing_15 From a fiscal conservative, he is really dumping on his contributors. Yet another reason she was a bad pick.
  6. Not voting this yr. for my own reasons. I'll bet I could guess w/ certainty who YOU voted for. We hereby revoke your privs to bitch about anything from here fwd ,,,,,,,,,,
  7. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>As for a reason why I think the Rep party would be better...I guess I don't have solid one so I'll have to "Hope" they can do better That s/b the moniker of the Republican Party . On a wing and a prayer.... I hope.... You do realize that isn't real solid logic, right? Not trying to offend, just that that's not a logical explanation for voting Repub. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>You see I believe in limited and smaller gov. Does anyone see either party wanting that. And yet a better reason to not vote Republican. Can't you see, you aren't posting reasons that support your logic. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>My point being neither party has gotten everything right and I would like a better option. The Republican Party has fucked things up beyond proportion, so to assert not everything right, I don't think any party in US or world history has gotten everything right. All we can do is look at recent history and current agendas and go with that. So I guess the Repubs are back at: As for a reason why I think the Rep party would be better...I guess I don't have solid one so I'll have to "Hope" they can do better.
  8. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>Take a personal example. You owe tens of thousands on your credit cards. What's the smarter course? 3) Bankruptcy
  9. Yea, and inflation hits records, gas over 4 bucks and the mortage mess errupts..... hmmmm, amazing at how the party that has been handcuffed for most of 3 decades is so sneaky they can pull off a heist of the presidency like this...... hmmmmmm, I think you're on to something here..... when the black helicopters land, be sure to tell the crew about this.....
  10. The House is part of congress. Oh well. >>>>>>>>>>I was merely asking a simple question. It's a civil conversation, no need to get all worked up. As for the current Republican Party, you still haven't posted any reason you think they are the better party.
  11. If you had posted it in the proper place, then I wouldn't have had the opportunity to chide you for it being here. You opened the door for it. Take your lumps like a man. Thank you, sir, may I have another? The streets are safe now that you've made your claim of improper venue.
  12. How about the contemporary history of the Clinton admin? He cut spending as he raised taxes, the debt increase decreased every year of teh 8 years and he went from 250B/yr debt increase to 33b his last year. Now, was it the tax increase or the spending cuts or both? Who knows, there was prolly some proportion of each.
  13. Let's commission a study. OK, but we'll have to allocate some money for it. (I knew that's what you meant)
  14. As usual, you completely miss the point. Yes, it's unusual. But it doesn't fit the category to belong here in Speaker's Corner. Instead, it belongs in Bonfire. That's the point. I guess I shouldn't have expected you to "get it". Oh no, I get it.... a chance for you to chime in and PA. Have you posted so many worthless threads here that you've forgotten where you are?
  15. And who gives a shit what that old document says. Seriously, as in any good Republican Monarchy/tyranny, they just write em as they go
  16. And your point is, what? That the President of the Senate really *isn't* a duty of the VP? "IN CHARGE"? Oh, relax. She simply meant that she'd be charging new clothes for all the Senators at Sak's Fifth Avenue. You have to admit, the Senate is pretty stuffy. With all those Senators running around doing their senatory things, being all senaty.
  17. I really don't see how there's any other way to interpret that. It certainly seems as if she believes the VPs can, with respect to the Senate, somehow control the agenda, " . . . if they (the VPs) want . . . ." That's simply not supported by the current rules of the Senate. Republicans think it's still a Monarchy, just a throw-back party.
  18. Uhhhhhuh. Read the quote, typical usurpation of power by a neo-con admin.... nothing new here, just move along.
  19. Hey, but I bet she didn't get $150K spent on her makeup and wardrobe in any of those other pageants. Maybe she would have done better than 3rd if she had.
  20. What a power-drunk sick bitch. The VP just breaks ties in the Senate to my understanding, that's it. The majority leaders take care of organization of teh senate. Here, let's have fun: "A vice president has a really great job because not only are they there to support the president's agenda, they're there like the team member, the Joe six-pack to the president. But also, they're in charge of the United States Senate, so if they want to they can really get in there with the senators and get all Mavericky, that will make life better for Brandon and his family and his classroom with a picture of Jesus hanging on the wall. And it's a great job and I look forward to having that job.”
  21. It's really funny watching the GOP congressional candidates' TV ads here. They are falling over themselves pointing out how they opposed Bush on this, that and the other issue, anyone would think they were Dems. Not one of them mentions being Republican in their ads, like it would be the kiss of death. Laughable. I guess they really can't change parties w/o looking worse, so they just bought into a POS years ago that they can't shed.
  22. I'll do it for you: http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/archives/individual/2005_05/006282.php http://articles.latimes.com/2005/apr/03/opinion/oe-kinsley3 http://www.americanchronicle.com/articles/68900 The eight years of the GWB Republican administration (2001-09) have repeated almost all of the economic policies of the Coolidge administration (1923-29). GWB has been just as pro-business and pro-tax cuts for millionaires and corporations as Coolidge was. GWB has been just as opposed to government regulation of business as Coolidge was. GWB has been just as opposed to labor as Coolidge was. GWB has appointed cronies and pro-business people to all important economic positions in the government, the same as Coolidge did. The similarities between these two Republican administrations is remarkable. They are almost identical. There is little evidence that any present Republican economic policy ideology has changed in any substantial way since the 1920´s. Unfortunately for the American people, these two like-minded administrations have also produced the same unavoidable and predictable outcomes. After eight years of GWB´s pro-business anti-labor policies, the entire nation is facing the same economic conditions that existed in 1929. Another way to look at it is that some of the time presidents/parties are voted out. This was evidenced with the ouster of Ford for pardoning crook Nixon and the ouster of Carter for doing nothing. Now we see that no matter who ran for left they would win due to the Republicans demolishing this country for decades in just 8 years. You deserve the governemtn you elect. Still, laughable how anyone can advocate Republican ideals right now, astonishing.
