I'm usually known for being a bit naive and believe almost anything...... just because I trust everybody. Already it has burned me once this year. So when I had a coach hit on me, I wasn't sure if that was a normal thing or if it was like high school where your teacher is not allowed to date the student. Personally, I don't wany anything bad to happen and me to feel uncomfortable so I am going to ignore the attempt. I'm learning that this sport is filled with many guys who hits on any girl with 2 legs and is breathing.... so I kinda looking for pointers and what to look out for in a male dominated skydiving world. I don't want to be in a situation that for one, looks bad (coach dating his student) or a situation that I could have been warned about (skydiver using their rating/skills to hit on newbies). In reference to driving though.... yeah, I suck at driving. I even thought the sign that said "Fine for Parking" meant that it was ok to park there. But I do think it is a real question, because I wasn't sure if it's written in the uspa rules or something that D licenses could only date B licenses and above or something that they would have in school. I'm kinda new to this scene and appreciate any advice and thoughts by anybody, because I will listen. If I am dating a guy that is bad for me and someone tells me this, I will cutaway as soon as possible. If it is unethical for a coach to hit on his student, then I will not return his phone calls... but if it is a normal occurance and is not a weird thing is this sport, then I might have reconsidered. So no, I am not trying to show off. Yes, I am capable of voting, and I want to know what others have experienced. The advice and warnings I have gotten from girls on here have saved me from a bad relationship and I will eternall be thankful. Which is why I turn here again to very wise women/men who know what they are talking about. I am not that experienced in the dating world, and grew up in a very non-dating society. My longest relationship was for 6 weeks with a guy who had a bad temper who was a skydiver... and without the girls on here I'd still be in something really bad...and wished I would have had some pointers about the men in this sport from the get go. Take one of the cleaning agents, but when you go in for the drug tests, if they ask you if you take anything, tell them you take a lot of vitamins, creatine, and goldenseal. That way when it comes up in the test they can still rule the test as a good one. Also, drink lots of water. What is the rule of thumb for dating in this sport. I'm guessing instructors can't date AFF students...but are coaches allowed to date their students? What is looked down upon? How many jumps did you do on one canopy before you downsized? I bought a 170 spectre, but i've been jumping a 190 spectre and sabre II the last 10 jumps and I've been able to land where I've wanted and stand almost all of them up.... but is 10 jumps too soon?
