ok ok... here's the story: I was 16, and it was my first time driving to nashville by myself to go to non-christian bookstore... something which was forbidden by my parents. I was so excited/nervous...ect. I was driving around looking for parking and couldn't find parking. I then saw this huge space with a sign right by it saying "fine for parking." I was like, "rock on!, I can park here... sweet." So I parked there, and right as I'm parking, a cop car comes right behind me and flashes his lights. He came up to my door and asked for my driver's license and what not. He then told me he was going to give me a ticket if I parked there. I was flabbergasted and told him that the sign said I could park there. He looked up and read the sign then said, "well let's read the sign together." We both chime in and said "fine for parking"... and I was like "see... I can park here." He then went to his car for a few minutes, got on his radio... then came back to my car shaking his head, returned my license and told me to just go and park somewhere else. I then called a girlfriend and told her what happened... and that's when I found out what the whole fine for parking sign meant..... haha, I'll never live it down, but it's a funny story now!! A few things that made me smile today: 1. Waking up in my old bed in Tennessee this morning 2. The sunshine was beautiful 3. Spending time with my mom this afternoon 4. Everyone asks me about the dangerous side of it. I try to educate everyone about the sport before going into it. Many of my friends didn't even know you have two parachutes and that the second one is packed by a professional rigger. I show them my rig and how it works as well. I believe knowledge is a key factor and want them to know some of the basics. They do ask me about the death rate and I'm honest with them and do let them know that it is risky... but these are college students... we love risk! As for the woman vs. men....
