True that. I've always been pretty thin, especially when I started drinking beer (@ 22 y/o and 145 pounds). I used to look like I smoked crack, which I honestly miss . I'm not so much looking to lose a particular amount of weight, just enough to lose a little more flab around my waist and under my chin. Totally vanity pounds, and I won't be heartbroken if they don't go willingly.

I've lost about 20 pounds over the last 18 months, just by eating less in general, less sweets and booze being the biggest contributor. At 6'2", I currently weigh 170 (which feels nice ). I'd love to lose another 10-15 pounds, which should be very easy considering I drag my ass to the gym once a week on average.

You could also adjust your wall thermostat. Digital thermos have a "Span" setting (my Hunter thermo will span 1-3 degrees, accessed by holding down + & - at the same time). Mechanical thermos have an adjustment on their coil that'll adjust span on the heat side only.

Pete, you crazy SOB!!! Sounds effective, but I'm betting it took a while to find your balls afterwards .

Mmmm, chicken and rice sounds mighty tasty. I might have to make that later as a second dinner. That big plate of asparagus was tasty, but I'm still hungry. The King's bread and garlic butter is tasty

I'm hungry, and my tastebuds are in a strange mood tonight. I started dinner by frying several cloves of garlic in a melted stick of butter for several minutes, with lots of lemon pepper and parmesan cheese. I poured that on a baking sheet full of asparagus, covered it with foil, added more garlic, and put it in the oven for 30 min of 350. Once I serve up the asparagus, the excess butter's going into a bowl and getting soaked up by some Kings Hawaiian bread. I started out thinking I'd make a healthy dinner, but I might just be kicking my cholesterol up several points. What are you having?

I saw an episode of Dirty Jobs about the dismantling on the floats. Apparently they all sit in a warehouse and ferment for a few months, get nice and fetid before anyone takes them apart .

Unfortunately no O2 bottle handy . Water is definitely necessary, but I often don't drink a lot of water when I'm hung over, just b/c it seems to come back up .

Never heard of using Vit-B, will have to try that. I've been warned about nsaids and caffiene, so I try to be careful there. In Korea, we kept several bottles of Pedialyte on hand, which is good shit. Made it easier to have mid-week benders and still be functional for work . What did me in wasn't how much I drank, it's what I drank. Carbonated wine does nasty shit to me, esp a whole bottle of it, even spread over 5 hours. A friend stopped by shortly after I posted. I must say that bacon, eggs, HMS, and more sleep do wonders .

What better day is there to talk about hangover remedies than New Years? I'm keeping it simple, with a couple excedrin and some very strong coffee. Hydrated a bit earlier. I've gone to more of a headache than a hangover. So how are you nursing your hangover?

I'm chilling at home, watching the Twilight Zone marathon. I opened my bottle of champagne about 3 hours ago and it's almost gone. I'm going to have to heat up some sake for midnight .

Sounds mighty steep for a jump ticket, I'd expect 2 or 3 rides for $65.

My sister called once while I was getting road head. I answered b/c I was expecting her to call with directions. I didn't expect her to be behind me, wondering why I was alone.

Congrats!!

Everclear's nasty shit!!! Mixed some with cranberry juice once, drank it too fast, and was still getting drunk after I finished it. 190 proof is fire in a bottle. Now tequila's tasty!!

Vibes and hugs for you and your Pops. Glad to hear that so far, so good.

All in all, I did very well getting through Denver. Spent the 22nd-today with my folks in Portland, making my connecting flights thru DIA. I made one of the first flights from Orlando to Denver after they opened back up last Friday, and tho my layover went from 2 hours to 5 minutes, I made it thru smoothly. Today I had an early flight and was gone before the snow. I don't think I've ever seen so much white landing anywhere. I don't envy you folks having to dig your way out to get anywhere.

Easy, Jason and I are both military and have all the info we need from our December LES (Leave & Earning Statement), assuming no other income. I play with my exceptions over the course of the year so they take less out. Last year I waited till 4/15 b/c I owed about $50, I'll owe about the same this year.
