After approximately four and a half months in my new apartment
matt1215 replied to grue's topic in The Bonfire
That was swift . When I moved into my 2 bedroom apartment, it was a call between having a common wall or a cooling unit under the window. The apartment next door was vacant so I took the common wall. Going to move your stuff? -
Hang in there, my girls and I send our love. Shadow sends one of her kneading back massages, with a super-soft purr and lots of kisses. Abby's circling your feet, purring so loud you can't hear yourself, then rolls over onto her back as you reach down. Again, hang in there.

Another lesson is not to give this type of company debit access to your checking account. Many credit card companies have an online interface where you can generate single-use account numbers. I'd rather get the 'Hey, your card's been declined!!' call after they attempt to use the card again, then find unauthorized charges on my checking account. Just personal preference, but I'm very selective on who I grant debit access to my accounts .

Congrats my friend!!!

I like your current card. Simple is good.

What do you think ?? Or more disturbingly, which do you prefer ??

Gotta love the pooper .

Might as well strike me off the list too. Me too .

Dont you knock my cinnamon candles and the warm fuzzy socks my grandma knit for me. They keep me oh so warm on winter nights.

It's funny how nobody's voted for pride .

I think 14 hours for an upper-gi and lipid count, and it was sheer torture. My appointment was for 8am and they told me water only after 6pm. I normally eat dinner around 7 or 8, had eaten a light lunch, and I couldn't get to sleep .

What makes someone pick the place to make thier first jump?
matt1215 replied to Fast's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Titusville was just where my friends took me to jump. -
I like DST. I gives me an extra hour after work to go skydive .

I don't know my HDL/LDL numbers, but my cholesterol was in the 140's a few months back (doc says that's really good). Doc was happy with the overall level, impressed that my LDL was as low as it was. He also talked to me about a low HDL level, said that I need more veggies and exercise.

I use unscented Charmin 2-ply in the ultra-mega roll. Lasts me a while since I try to poop before I shower. Rinsing rather than wiping tends to cut down on itchy-anus

Got some General Tso's chicken from the local rusty-wok. Tasty stuff, tho maybe I should take seeing Mama-san feeding the ferals out back as a bad sign .

What do you think That you must be getting way more of a swoop out of that 168 than most people do . That you must be hot-shit with your landings, and must have done your AFF with a tandem-rig .
-
You're right, it's not a race. I'll be on the 168 for a while (I imagine until at least my C-license). Still, I'm curious what other canopies are like.

Like you, I thought Safire2 was very similar to Pilot. The openings on both were very soft. Safire has a bit too much snivel for my taste. It seemed to open softer than my Spectre; Pilot seemed to open more responsively than my Spectre, which I really like. Pilot seemed more "swoopier" to me, Safire seemed to set me down without much of a plane-out. This observation is likely skewed as I jumped a Pilot-188 and a Safire-169. Both landed really soft, much easier than my Spectre-210 . I didn't notice longer lines on Safire, but it did seem to need more toggle input. Pilot seemed to dive more when I got on the front risers (up high), and eat more altitude when I spiraled it. Safire2 just made me dizzy. They both had awesome penetration, possibly more so the Pilot. Following suit with your ratings: Openings: Pilot 5/5 Safire2 4.5/5 Spectre 4/5 Fun Factor (turns): Pilot 5/5 Safire2 4/5 Spectre 3.5/5 Glide: Pilot 5/5 Safire2 5/5 Spectre 3/5 Landings: Pilot 5/5 Safire2 5/5 Spectre 3/5 Next up: Sabre2-170 (coming tomorrow), possibly Fusion and Firebolt. I bought a used Pilot-168 as a regular canopy, but still demoing for my next downsize. My canopy history: Spectre-210: 26 jumps Sabre2-210/230: 5 jumps (withholding observation until I jump the 170) Pilot-188: 6 jumps Safire-169: 6 jumps

I have to be careful not to do this, also not to reach for the ground with one hand when I think I'm losing my balance. The canopy tends to obey the input and turn into the ground. I find I get my best landings flaring higher and slower than I think I need to, with my elbows tucked to my sides and my hands to the front.
