How commons is it? I've been out of school for 5 1/2 years and do not accustom to playing hooky from work, something I used to do quite often in school. Anyway, I went to a conference today with a co-worker and we snuck out about 3 hours early and went shopping and to a movie. It was fun, but now I feel really guilty!!!! I lived alone up until about a month ago when my SO and I moved in together. I did enjoy living alone quite a bit. The privacy was invaluable. But, I'm just at a different phase and not living alone is also really cool now!

Always dated men 4+ years older. A couple of blind dates within the 1-2 year difference -- with my date being older than me. At this point, and very much to my surprise, I am with a younger man!! Two months younger than me but acts like 15 years younger than me!! P.S. As to the "why" in age difference, I just always felt safe and they always felt emotionally available. Although I agree that perhaps in South Florida it is important to be able to speak with the locals, IMHO if your desire to learn the language stems from a professional perspective, then, by all means learn proper Spanish -- classroom Spanish. I am Puerto Rican and, well, normally speak "slang" Spanish, which is not so beautiful. I met with a client today from Argentina and her Spanish was absolutely beautiful. I was able to polish my skills and before I knew it, she thought I was from Venezuela. Awesome! I DO love the language and it is absolutely beautiful. Good luck with the venture! -

Well, I dunno! I've just never had the cat calling. She (Bob) lives with me so I have to try with her!! Here are her grumpy "Queen" and my sweet Gracie! P.S. In all fairness, Bob definitely has a certain level of cuteness and one hell of a personality!
