Slowest start to Atlantic hurricane season…
tkhayes replied to brenthutch's topic in Speakers Corner
'peaceful' vs 'threat to democracy' are actual two separate and distinct things, quite unrelated to each other. One was not peaceful, the other was also not peaceful AND a threat to democracy. And yes, Trump is actually all those things, misogyny, racism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia Coal is bad, and solar is good, hence why the electric power companies are installing solar like mad and strangely enough they are NOT installing new coal plants. try and keep up. I know reality is not your strong point -

no one said Biden was a rock star, but ONCE AGAIN, thanks for dodging the actual thing being talked about and running off to grandstand about something else unrelated. But here is what we do know.... Donald Trump is a crook, a con man and a convicted felon. He stole millions of dollars from his charity, got caught, pled guilty to that, paid millions in fines and had his foundation permanently shut down I would love to see you address that charitable foundation theft by Trump without actually talking about ANYTHING else, other than that event. You cannot do it. -

you seem to be hung up on the word 'recession', when the economy actually fucking collapsed under Trump, trillions were lost, unemployment went to double digits, store shelves were empty and the stock market crashed. So continue to banter about whether or not it was a recession or not, but is was an economic catastrophe that happened WHILE DONALD TRUMP WAS IN OFFICE, during his administration and absolutely 100% his responsibility to deal with. -

'the black swan event' is a shitty excuse used constantly by the right wing to apologize for a dumpster fire response to a pandemic. The USA has worse outcomes than many leading countries, 1 million people died, store shelves were empty, the stock market crashed, the debt went through the roof (not just because of covid but reckless spending and tax cuts), the supply chain was fucking obliterated.... and trump said stupid things like 'who knew there could be a world-wide pandemic?' Inflation is now back to normal. gas prices at $277 in Florida, my net worth is double what it was four years ago, stocks and retirement portfolios are way up, unemployment is down, and if you cannot figure out how to make it in THIS economy, well that is your problem. - thank you Joe Biden -

gold is not a currency. But once again, avoid the actual question and change the subject. The US dollar has not been devalued against any other mainstream currency in the world -
arguably it absolutely WAS our business..... it is plain ignorant for average people to think that horrible things in other parts of the world are not our problem or do not affect us. The world is a rather small place. There is isolationism, democracy (the will of the people) and then there are morals ideology and doing the right thing 'because it is the right thing to do'. ALL problems in the world affect us in some way, and the most horrible things should be actively fought because it is the right thing to do. The will of the people is not actually always the best thing.... we used to own slaves - that was also the will of the people for hundreds of year.

Trump passes on another debate. This will hurt him with undecided voters. His base already believes he won. There will be pressure to debate since he is and will remain behind in the polls. So much or the strong leader. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2024/09/22/afghanistan-taliban-restrictions-men-beards/ all that is required for evil to conquer is for good men to do nothing this applies to Trump as well unleashed he is capable of anything. narcissistic sociopath maybe the pullout in Kabul was not such a good idea but I am also not advocating that we could have made something else for Afghanistan by pouring more into it. A shitshow just like Israel no solution, so why bother? There is that. Some problems have no solution and maybe millions have to suffer and die before they wake up. The shitty part of humanity

No hurricanes have devastated Florida this year. Not actually relevant to your claim, but thanks for dodging the subject that YOU started Tennessee is part of the USA and is subject to exactly the same dollar devaluation.... why has insurance in Tennessee not increased then by the same margins as insurance in Florida? Or are all Florida problems regarding home insurance unique to the 'Florida dollar' and its devaluation caused by a Biden federal government but only at a state level? So you admit that your homeowners insurance is affected by the dollar devaluation yet the rate of increase is less than Florida? Explain your math please if you can (hint: I know you cannot). Your claims, my response. devaluation of the US dollar would affect ALL insurance rates across the country equally. -

still riding - all you did was restate a different claim related to your first claim. Making another claim is not actually evidence of the original claim. Your quote is and was "The cost of insurance is up everywhere because of the inflation caused by the Democrats. Actual storm damage has not increased, the cost of storm damage has." What has the Biden administration doe to 'cause' homeowner insurance rates to rise in Florida? -
And oddly enough, humans appear to be subject to grift, over and over again. Nigerian billionaires are still sending me money and spam email still arrives, phone calls daily for scams. If this shit was not working, it would not exist. Trump is a master and telling people to give him money, as well as a master of never paying the people he owes money to.

IMO, some wars do not have lines to draw, and certainly, unless you are one of the players in that war, then the concept of 'lines' in pretty meaningless. These groups have been fighting for so long, there is NO solution to it until the parties involved decide they have had enough. That could actually happen, like it did in Ireland, but at least for now, there is NO solution to the Israel/Arab conflict, and I try not to spend too much time trying to solve problems that have no solution. Nor do I concern myself with any lines, ethics, or otherwise in the debate.

Who will be next will be the millions of voters who say they support trump but either vote for Harris or simply leave the president choice blank because they know he is a POS I accept either option for those millions of republicans and other conservatives

Calgary and many parts of Alberta, suffered catastrophic hail storms this year, never seen before. tens maybe hundreds of millions of dollars in damage.... explain using your economic model since obviously the price increases in insurance in Canada will be the fault of Joe Biden. my nipples are erect in anticipation -
Slowest start to Atlantic hurricane season…
tkhayes replied to brenthutch's topic in Speakers Corner
so you do not have anything to actually show the increase in insurance costs due to inflation caused by Democrats? That was your claim. Yeah that is kinda what I thought. Under Trump, my homeowners insurance was about $800/year at the start of his term, and about $1600 at the end of it Explain. or do the usual and digress into something else unrelated. -

And Citizens is on a 'depopulation' campaign, supported by the republicans in power in Florida. If you can find another policy with less than a 20% increase in the price, Citizens can and will kick you out. I just got the letter from Citizens stating that they found me another carrier, and guess what? The increase is 19.2%.... but hey, double digit increases in normal in Florida, every year. But thank god the 'cost benefit' of fake news climate change economics is working -

The cost of insurance has been climbing for decades - through Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama, Trump..... and so has the damage from hurricanes, and thus the insurance. I cannot believe you said what you just said and I would call you out for it but I might get another warning from the moderators. If one has no odea what one is talking about then it is sometimes best for one to keep away from the subject at hand
