They used to have a link to an anti-war site, but it has been removed.

I survived a Level 1 with him on Sunday. Then he left me with the debrief so he could get on another load. Ah, the life of an FNG.

guess he didn't click the clicky, either.

LOL. We call them "Kooks." And if you believe Tourmaline is world class, you haven't been up to north county much. Hell, Black's is right down to road! I don't want to burst your bubble, but if you haven't been competing since you were fifteen you have a pretty tough road ahead. Most of the touring pros have started out competing in NSSA and are now veterans in their 20's. You mentioned major sponsorships previously, then you might want to start out with the local surfshops. (I'm not sure how many they have in Arizona.) If they won't sponsor you, that might be a sign. So, best of luck to you. You cannot really compare surfing with skydiving. I also seriously doubt that you can go from beginner to pro in a matter of seconds. Locals can spot a kook a mile away. I've seen many a kook paddle out at Beacon's wearing a fullsuit in summer time with their 5'6" twin fin.

Very nice. So, howizit that Gawain is always first to reply to your posts???

Yep, saw a lot of Perrisians out at 'Snore on Saturday... Sunday was a good day also. Dave's 20 way at sunset was pretty good and we also had a going away BBQ for pilot Tom who will start flying an RJ. Not to be left out, we had an SCR ceremony for Morgan and Terri. Lots o fun!

Ya know, that last box of cookies you sold me was short one cookie! Luckily, I was still able to lure some skychics my way....
-
Whatever. If you had easy access to calibrate them, who wouldn't? We have an alti rep at the dz and he calibrates them all the time.

My first was on Friday the 13th, moonless, partly cloudy. Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be and had a lot of fun. Also nailed the peas on my landing. Close to 24 ytd.

Don't wanna send the wrong message, do ya? Actually, it looks cool and wouldn't worry about if it has any meaning or not. Actually I'd like to use the design on my next camera helmet....you're right, I'd like to know if it stands for anything (or is copyrighted) before I use it. ltdiver Ah, I'd use it any way. Besides, it's just us law abiding citizens at the dz!

Pea gravel is terrible on the knees....

Lemme know. I hear Martin and his team pumpkin of brits are arriving Monday. So, it should be the haps all week. 5 April is the SSL and possibly BikerBabe will be here later this week. I'll be working all week, or at least hanging out.

What ever you end up buying, get it calibrated every so often. I get my Alti-III done every few months and get the lens changed for free. (well, actually for a beer or two.)
-
Good job! Did your instructors give you "home work" to correct your de-arched body position? Level 3 is a release dive at my dz. Where you able to complete all the TLOs and get released? Sounds like you are progressing pretty well.

I'm not intentionally hijacking this thread, but.... I've been surfing longer than most people have been alive here. I've also been involved on the competitive side and had partial sponsorship from board makers and a surfshop. I treasure the dozen or so trophys that I won, but it does not come close to competing in skydiving, whether it's RW, CRW or FF. This truly is a team sport. I've lived at the beach for many years and love it, and if I could afford to, I still would. I'm not sure where you surf, or where you skydive, but give it time. Besides, doing 4 way with your chick is much better than paddling out in 10 foot storm surf and getting pounded. Tubes are cool, but so are 13 point 4 ways in time. Whatever. Very few surfers make it to the big leagues, but if that's your passion, go for it. Good luck.

I did, and I'm a dog dude, too!

Hey Birthday girl, We gonna jump in yer birthday suit? Happy Birthday, Betsy! Shark

Hey BikerBabe, The Shark will be at 'Snore both days. If I'm lucky I'll get on a pick up team for the SSL, otherwise I'll be doing some fun AFF with the kids. Marsha will be in the office. Just ask for me. Shark

That's some good stuff. He'll be okay because he's in good company. May be he'll be able to make a jump later at Skydive Baghdad.

How YOU doin?!

That is cool. Does it also have an interchangeable casing like the Nokia and Ericssons?
