I noticed a foul stench in the air.... It was then that The Mex, BS, and E1 walked up. El Mex owes cervesa mas fria for a future staff posit at El Snore.

Only because I remember your Level 7. ....and Level 8. You are still my favorite ex-student.

I use a lot of different stuff, but one of my favorites is a simple piece of paper. It has the same function as a badminton birdie/shuttlecock. I drop the flat piece of paper from ~2m to illustrate being de-arched and lack of stability. I then put a deep depression in the center of the paper by molding it around my fist, then dropping it again, curved end down. Then I ask the class what they should do to gain stability if on their back or tumbling. I turn my paper curved end up and drop it. Now they see and believe what the arch may do for stability.

You need to think about it?!?!

James, Do not forget the when you come back to 'Snore! Shark out.
-
Did you buy for that new suit/camera?

I concur. The bottom end can make or break you. Fortunately an evaluator will be relatively and somewhat stable at pull time; real students won't. Absolutely! Although rated both AFF & Tandem, I prefer teaching aspect of AFF including the FJCs. That's why I earned an AFFI prior to my TI rating. Jumps: AFF - 530, Tandem - 250.

Dude, Keep up the good work, and pay us a visit in 'Snore. You still owe beer for that bush landing. Shark out.

We go with the manufacturer's recommendations outlined in the manual. The RWS Sigma manual has a nice flow chart as a supplement. They're called emergency procedures.
-
Good question. Note: For any students reading this thread, please consult your instructor for proper procedures.

Yep, nobody wins.
