I have had the err99 happen twice in about a year on my 20D. Turn off the camera, remove the CF card and then remove the battery for about a minute. Replace the CF card and then the battery and power it back up. In both cases the camera worked fine after that and all my pics were still there.

Congratulations Karina! Will they be making the film available on DVD? The trailer can be seen here. http://www.f24film.de/

I practiced riser only flying while skydiving earlier this year using a fairly large docile canopy. I pulled high for 20 jumps and ran it through every maneuver I could think of on the way down. It was four days worth in varying winds and it cost me about $400.00 in jump tickets. Yeah, I know, it’s nothing but it's a start. I had a toggle blow on my last BASE jump, I pitched the other one. It was always my plan should this occur. Meat and potatoes or nothin’. It was a two step, tip toe riser landing in zero wind. Lucky? Maybe. I know that I wouldn’t want to do it 50 times to prove it was skill. Canopy pilots like CanuckInUSA amaze me with their skill. I will never, ever be that good. However, I consider the practice as time and money well spent. I know for a fact that it paid for itself on this one jump alone.

Robin? Is that you? You are using the wrong login. Magot flies free. I’m bustin’ a gut here. Please Stop!

Haha! Yeah, lucky it rang when it did or it would have been in the river. Timing is everything.

I did my first at TF in March. It was snowing with a light breeze. I was wearing a hoodie with a jacket over it. Two days later, I was wearing a Tshirt and putting on sun block. (my avatar shot) It's all good!

It hasn't yet. It is work in progress. I would also like to add: JUI, it's a bad idea.

Hey Bert Man, I’m sure they have some rules about working solo now. Plus harness requirements if you’re working over 6ft and all kinds of other good stuff. OSHA was pretty much non-existent back then. Have Fun! Baz

Wrong! Do not stand in front of the antenna or place parts of your body in front of it. By the time you figure out it’s hot, it’s to late. The damage has already been done. I was working on a microwave antenna one day mounting wind protection equipment. I had the antenna shut off and was standing directly in front of it as I mounted it up. An unannounced (dumb ass rookie) worker came on sight, tossed the “I’m working up top” note from the panel and powered it up. He was below and I was up top so I no way of knowing the antenna was hot. The antenna does not have a power indicator light and makes no sound. I’m not sure how long I was being exposed but I’m guessing it was several minutes. When I felt the pain, it was instant. My chest and guts felt like they were liquid lava and my head felt like it was going to explode. It brought me to my knees and I crawled off to the side. After a few minutes my guts began to knot up and then I proceeded to puke my guts out. Not Fun! If you are not sure if an antenna is hot, consider it hot. Stay off to the side and make your stay short.

I am shocked! I guess that gives a whole new meaning to the old saying, “One man’s junk is another man’s treasure!”

Hey Jimmy, how are you? Your video "Down With Society" received great reviews. Will you be offering it for sale also? Have Fun! Baz

Those are microwave cone antenna. You'll be fine as long as you're not hanging for a long time. They are covered under antenna basics and identification on this site. http://www.chrisbazil.com/antenna_info.htm Have Fun!

Nice Avatar Steve I never got to see MX's shots, think you can get him to post them? Here's a few shots from Colorado. Have Fun!

LOL! Obviously, you are kidding. Maybe slide in a kicker for Sully so all know it’s in jest. Everyone knows Sully has several big ones. Heart, Brains and Balls. He does excellent aerials and helps so many. If you can’t trust Sully, the world is lost. Hope all is going well with the Festival. Wish you safe jumps, good weather and great times.

That is terribly sad news. I was very impressed with Adam at the Games last year. My condolences to Adam’s family and friends.

If you feel tape is needed, I would suggest using Gaffers tape instead of Duct tape. Its a lower tack tape that will have enough grip to stand up to the wind and it will release easier during deployment. Just a thought.

Incredible Shots Dave! What an awesome place! I am very concerned for the safety of this bear. The stunt man from the movie "Super Troopers" is in the area. The bear is in very serious danger.

The front element on the EF 15mm Fisheye is fixed and focusing is done internally. It's a great lens. I purchased mine from B&H Photo.

Hey Tony! Doing great! How are you? Name Dropping?!?! I would never consider it. Here are a couple other signs I have run across. The first sign obviously needs an edit. As for the second, the lady must like him a lot to have built him a Casino. Have Fun!

Hey Leroy, that's a great one! Here is a couple that I ran across. One is a couple blocks from my house, the other is in South Lake Tahoe.
