The concept of a 1000' opening is a myth. If someone's canopy takes that long to open, then you're hanging under a snivelling canopy for approx 10 secs or more. At that point, it's called a streamer. A canopy that takes more than 600-700 feet to open needs to be fixed. is that so? hmmm, would you like to jump my canopy then? it usually takes about 700 to 1k to fully be sitting in the sattle. the idea of a tutor is a very good one. I like hte idea stated above with finding someone who has struggle, but now 'gets it'. When i was in math, i wasnt super math person, but i would 'get it' after i took it home, and broke everything apart step by step, and would then be able to help everyone in the class who didnt get it. It was the same thing, same steps that the teacher would give, but i would just explain it differently, sometimes a different way from person to person. Everyone has different learning styles. it would be good to find you're child's. Or what i would do, when not sure what someone's was, is combine them while helping them out.. talk through the problem, while using visuals, and at the same time, having THEM do the actual work . that method seemed to work really well for me. good luck. ohhh, now getting in the way of the lines at opening, i didnt think of. there goes that place! .. I can't wait til i get my own jumpsuit so i can put it in the pockets. as of now, i use the stores demo suite, which has no pockets and is almost too small to fit, so i have to wear pocketless shorts undernieth. score: 1 for the experienced guys, 0 for me. haha, indeed, i did put 'chord' ... too many years in band I guess. Yeah, there is that extra little pocket, but thats where i keep a few dollars and my uspa membership card. for the person not sure what i meant about where i keep mine... on my rig, not sure about others,..underneith the last flap, that protects the main closing pin, there is some void empty space, that is closed in, and not in any way able to prevent the reserve from opening. the only thing it could do is slip out a little bit and maybe interfere with the main pin. but i havent had any slippage of the cord coming out yet. probably the day i do, i will be finding a new place for it. wow, did that description suck or what! Just curious what everyone does with their pull chord when they are not packing. after seeing someone do this, i started doing it myself.. I put tuck it inside the gap of the main pincover. has worked out well for me. havent lost it yet, but i only have done so for about 7 jumps. CLICK HERE! new blog posted 9/21/08 CSA #720

Is it wrong to give forgiveness to those who kill your children?
shermanator replied to BlindBrick's topic in The Bonfire
No, its not wrong, some people are more forgiving and understanding than others. Sorry to hear about your son. Was the car that hit the other one at fault? run a red light or something?depending on details, i don't see why the da would bring up charges. CLICK HERE! new blog posted 9/21/08 CSA #720 -
