My work is requiring me to take HAZWOPER 40 hour training. they signed me up for the class, picked the 'school' and set everything up. They paid for it. I was originally told that it would be paid time, They just called me and told me that though they I have to do the 40 hours on my own time, that they paid for the 'schooling' and that is that. I'm thinking about telling them, to screw off, and that I will not be doing the 40 hour training. Anyone know the california labor laws regarding this type of thing? Dr. Thank you for your kind advise. As for finances, that is where we are having problems, If unemployment was filed two days later, we would have been ok, but as it is, that 2 days made them use 3 quarters that Holly was on maternity leave, so shows $0 . Time, is diffidently an issue! Family time is important to us, and we now have weekends together, and Holly is much happier these days, being home with our baby. *I HATE the idea of using daycare, and despise that grandma watches Lauren while Holly goes to school. If Holly gets a job, and even with the externship, we will most likely have to get some sort of childcare. *yuck* As for the externship being paid, some are, most are not. We will see. go over and thank them, buy them a pack as a gift. Thank them for supporting our children, and homeless, and our government. taxes on them packs are so high, i think that the government would shut down without them smokers! sad thing is, we got rid of Davis because arnie promissed *arnie voice* I will not raise taxes* as for the car tax, anyone remember the other reason he was elected, oh yeah.. to overturn the registration tax that Davis put in place. The Feds are talking about how they are going to lower taxes, and make it easier on us, and only thing california can do is raise taxes in a time of depression..
