Had a great time over the weekend--thanks to all the ladies that came out to jump and a big thanks to Brie for organizing. Chicks rule! Does anyone have any postable pics from this weekend? I would love 2 c some!

This bird is scary... if you read the caption they said this... "This bird has had to be flown with great care now as he has already responsible for dispatching an adult Red Fox and several Hares during public displays. The handlers are worried that it may attack and fly off with somebodies pet dog as there is a public path near the centre where people reguarly walk their dogs." OK - so - let me get this right. You take your animal/pet out into nature and subject it to the wild animals that comprise nature. Check Now you have to change nature again because the animals are doing what they normally do anyway. Right. People are so dissapointing. ----------------------------------------------------------- Actually I don't like the way that birds look at me. They have these piercing black beady little creepy eyes and I think they want for me to fall down on the ground and then peck my eyes out. I also don't like the way their feet are so unkempt. It's like damn don't they own a pair of clippers. Or maybe they could file their nails down on a tree somewhere. Lastly, I don't like their feathers. The feathers are so close and tight together and you can't see their skin and the end of the feather is sharp when it jabs into the birds skin--and it makes me itchy. Birds are scary. And the like to poo on my car. And not just the white cement poo--I'm talkin about the poo with the half digested worms. It would be kind of kewl to see a bird swoop in and snag some kinda animal--but from a distance.

You want my honest suggestion? Be proactive, not reactive. Stop sticking our fucking noses in other peoples' business. Our involvement in the middle east is what brought this shit on. Being proactive--yes let's try isolationism again please. Fuck everybody in the world whom is being opressed because we don't want to get involved. Let's forget that 9/11 ever happened and that there are people in this world that HATE us for who we are, what we stand for and our religious beliefs. Do you really believe at this point pulling our troops out and saying fend for yourself will stop terrorism. Nope--they want all of us dead. So again, should we pull out of the middle east after we have blown up all of their shit, dissected and removed a gov't corrupt and genocidal system and leave their economy in shambles like we did after the Gulf War? Oh yes, that will help popular opinion of the people that we are actually trying to liberate. I don't know what the solution is at this point. Can't we all just get along? As for the safety issues and "window dressing" we are doing by all the measures being taken with carry on luggage, we have got to do something better to be more secure. The terrorists will always be looking for weaknesses in our security system--it is up to us to strengthen it. Let's throw $$ at improving the technology to detect bombs. The question is, is the American gov't willing to lay out the $$ for the technology for our safety--or is it easier to just do a risk analysis and pay for damages after people are blown up? Bottom line--our gov't is way too reactionary like Grue said. But proactive doesn't mean giving up on the idea that every human being deserves the right to live a good life.

What the posts are saying here is that the security steps we see are nothing but window dressing. ------------------------------------------------------------ Is it really window dressing?--Maybe to the majority of people that are traveling and whom are innocent, but who knows how many terrorists have been thrawted with these extra measures. I am sure we'll never know. So folks, what are your suggestions to stop terrorism? Let's be solution orientated. What do you suggest? Profiling? That may hurt too many feelings. Would you feel better if just the Muslim folks traveling were subjegated to these measures. No I'm sure not. We're all in this together. If there are better ideas lemme know. Let our Senators know. Let's bitch at them. But remember, the gov't doesn't want to spend any more $$ on security, so let's keep them idears economy--okay? Money. That is the major issue here--who is responsible to pay for these extra security measures at the airport--is it the airlines or is it Uncle Sam. And who really pays the bill at the end of the day? Is it the gov't or is it regular people like us? I dunno, I'm innocent.

Oh boo hoo to everyone here that is crying about the inconvenience of traveling. I mean God forbid security try to do anything to stop any other terroristic threats at the cost of YOUR convenience. Although I agree the security folks could be more effective and more professional, the demand for improvement needs to come from the top. So, lets all just deal with it and be real about the world we live in today--it's dangerous. So, get your ass to the airport early, don't carry shit on the plane, and don't make any eye contact with the security folks--they will strip search you!!!!
