    It's none of your business what happens to this guy. You have no say in how the company that you don't work for is run. Yes, you could sit down and "counsel" him, but that will just alert him to the fact that you know, and if they are trying to keep it on the downlow, not doing business with you in the future is the easiest solution. Maybe he was hired after they started having a relationship, maybe they are just covering for his inept abilities, who knows? Mostly, if you want to be professional, then you have to maintain your distance and not get involved. Act shocked when one is fired/demoted/moved. It shows to those around you that you do not want to be involved in any unprofessional drama and you wont have your anchor tied to a sinking ship. top Jump more, post less!

    I wonder if in the Parents.com they have a discussion about "I can't stop talking about my kids toilet training?" How many times are you supposed to sit quietly by will some chowderhead goes over in excruciating detail the youngsters attempts to get one in the bowl? It's awesome that you are into something that is exciting, inspring, and physical in nature. You want to share that feeling with those who are important to you and that is perfectly normal. The easiest solution is to stop caring about what whuffos think, and worry about what the DZO, instructors, and other jumpers think of you! Also, as you get more experienced, the stories will get better! top Jump more, post less!

    Yep, you can watch the National Spelling Bee, the World Championships of Rock/Paper/Scissors, and endless reruns of poker games, but no skydiving on ESPN or other sorts channels. There is plenty of skydiving footage on "I Shouldn't Be Alive" and "Maxiimum Exposure." Of course, you have to listen to some yutz voice over saying , "seconds from death," over and over. top Jump more, post less!

    I think Ada at SDC has the equipment you really need. It's a very nice T-shirt that says, "My other rig is your mom." It's for all the haters out there that tell you to jump your other rig, not the racer. Saves me lots of time! top Jump more, post less!

    Most CRW jumpers still freepack. I have 5000 freepack jumps probably, some of those to terminal. Not a bad system, but not what the manufacturers recommend. It's harder on the gear and on the jumper! top Jump more, post less!

    In 1992, China held the World Championships of CRW in Anyang. Afterward, we had a few days in Beijing to soak up the sights. Tianmen Square being the most sought after for us, images of those days in 1989 still fairly fresh. I remember our guide telling us that those events "never happened" and it was "just propoganda." It struck all of us as ludicrous to deny the protests when you could still see the tank tread marks in the streets around the square. Do they recognize those events now? Not like a holiday or anything, but at least some mention in recent history? top Jump more, post less!

    The pilot did configure the aircraft for exit and the jumper was informed of that configuration on a prior jump and before this particular jump. Not by just one person, but by several people. As a licensed jumper he is responsible for "jumpmastering" himself. He ignored all the information, instructions, and advice given to him by the pilot in command, other jumpers and instructors on the load. If the last person on the load climbs out the roof emergency exit on the otter and strikes the tail, is the pilot still responsible? Sets a dangerous precedent if this goes through, anyone doing anything exiting an aircraft can sue the dz and pilot. top Jump more, post less!

    Dave! That's probably the best reply on any of the three threads on this incident. It gives me hope that if I read long enough, I can fin intelligent, cogent reasoning. Remove all the he said/she said stuff, all the emotional rants from those who dislike a person involved and get to crux of the situation.
