    Well we're at 8" now and still snowing. It's tropical here compared to my Hometown(Lake Placid was -32 10days ago plus wind chill) Lancaster is beautiful with snow at the DZ.     This is an excellent Thread! I have 13 & 15 yrs old dauthers & a 1yr old son. If want to jump I promised them full brand new custom gear for their "A" Lic. If they don't want to jump, we'll go to Orlando, plus some Vert.Windtunnel

    I love it when people say"Oh I know if you fell off a skyscraper or out of a jet you would be knocked out before you hit the ground due to your neck breaking while tumbling in the air...true story, ya."     1st jump: Maytown 1991, scare stiff fro 5 seconds(felt like forever...blink) all's well and flying around then, hey....what if these leg straps slide out.     I was thinking "small scale" rather than BIG PICTURE. I do see your point but, Greece is comming and "No Glory". They don't even want IT in 2008. Olympics mean eveything in our family and after the response of the IOC, I gave up on hopes of seeing there. The obvious of the venue having to fill the stands and be enjoyed on TV but, IOC (ref.Bejing) also attemps lesser methods of brush off ei. safety. I took us over 7 decades to get Skeleton back into the Olympics on claims of safety when in fact it was FIBT that wanted to keep the 4-Man Bobsled event in the "Glory" spot and Curling was "in".     My friend has a 103 Vel. (he weighs 212) It's a fast one, about 65mph on landing. That was in Oct. He survived. I'm the same weight but, not ready for that loading. 170 Cobalt next.     I was wondering if they would do that. I mean there the CReW awards and all that so, it would be nice to get "Canopy Pilot" Awards & Badges too. The event being sanctioned with USPA is THE big move.     I see that people should be prepared for what would actually endanger them. Where I live: a Nuke shelter would be more needed than a gun or house alarm( I'm not joking) Where I work: I wear a "Point Blank" with stab plate. >>It's best to realize that some people are living there lives as cattle. A kind and oblivious way of living but, they need to know what farm their on. Those that are "Dairy Cows" have little to worry.     I had trouble with contrasting at night, ei. head lights to read the white reflective letters on green signs caused blurring. They said I was 20/20 but, changed my script to .25 stronger for "20/15" and the blurring stopped. Lasik is my goal when my insurance gives more coverage for it. For now, my contacts are comfortable and work better than ever.     I was taught that if you don't have the chance to get away, you will have to sacrifice getting injured at best. My aggressive statement is basically from frustration of knowing people are victimized and so easily subdued by their attackers. I have managed to get out of 3 situations in the last 4 years as a Phone Tech in bad sections of our City, all involving guns. Drug task force in the City tend to pose as Phone Techs.
