Hell yeah Boyd. I cant wait for the "flock in a box" to arrive. We will all need to go out put some jumps together once it shows up. What was everyone's delivery times like on the Ghost. Scott. I've been reading your reviews on the suit and appreciate the input. I was one of the guys in Moab that got my shoulders rocked on the first few jumps. How many jumps would you say it took for you to feel little/no fatigue. Most of us are moving up from Phantoms. Can't wait, this suit rocks.

My opinion... The Phantom or Phacro is such a great suit to start out on. My first flight was on a Prodigy (can still reach risers) but i feel the Phantom is an awesome suit to learn and build your skills on. I now have close to 100 jumps on this suit and it still rocks!!! If interested... i have a know of a few people looking at selling this suit. This suit still offers quote a bit of range while offering back vents to learn flight on your back. I agree with the GTI too. Great first suit and quite a bit cheaper. I am bias to PF but I know BM has equally awesome suites. As with everything in this sport.... Start with whats comfortable...be safe and enjoy.

Hello fellow birds. Ive been working on my back-flying the past few weekends and have gotten comfortable on my back. last week i attempted, and successfully completed the transition where on your back to "pull a "half gainer/back-flip" to fly 180 degrees the other direction on your belly. My question is to tips on to do the opposite. How do you go about flying on your belly to do a "half front loop" and end up flying 180 degrees the other direction on your back. this maneuver is been a bit more challenging to me. any tips appreciated. Thanks, Jordan

I jump a phantom with a J3 container. My buddy(also with a Phatom) and I were discussing this very issue the other day. We have found that skipping the 4th wing tab from the top makes for a clean fit. This Includes the little tab. When skipping the body tab, the cable was forced to bend and distort around the harness. We tried this with various tab combinations. With our containers, skipping the wing tab allows the cable to run straight up the wing/body line without bending or effecting the handle position. Let me know if you would like to see pics of this routing. As stated above though, harnesses and suits fit people differently, so you might need to play around with it. Good luck and happy flights.

I started jumping the same canopy at around the same number of jumps as you have. 200 jumps later I'm still flying the same wing and I still have a blast with it. My advise is to take your time. Use the summer with the Cessna to learn all you can. Stay current. I also recommend taking a canopy course if possible. This helped boost my skills and confidence tremendously. Have fun, be safe. By the way.. how do you like your Sabre. I get a lot of mixed reviews when i tell people I jump a Sabre. My canopy has treated me awesome and not to mention my rainbow bright color scheme is sweet too. With a little extra care packing, my openings are consistent and soft.

Kinda, I got the Phantom with the Acro rear inlets. I still need to work on my backlying skills though. The pic will explain it.

Me Too. Made my first few jumps on my new suit on Friday! I love this suit. Thanks to Calvin for the great photo. Have fun with the Prodigy.

My new Phacro arrived today!! That was the longest 7 weeks of my life. Can't wait till Friday to get it in the air.

I feel ya. the other day we had a random day of nice weather. only problem, my reserve is getting repacked. ended up renting gear for the jump. was able to rationalize it by thinking of all the $$ ive saved over the last month by NOT jumping. Oh yeah, also waiting for my new Phacro to arrive!! Cant wait.

As councilman24 said, get the serial # on the container/harness. Call the manufacturer and they can tell you what specs the person who originally ordered the rig was built for. these measurements can vary though. When i bought my first rig, it was built for someone 4 inches shorter than me and a little bit slimmer build. due to my shorter abdomen, the rig fits me fine. If youre buying used, dont be anal about a "perfect" fit.

Thanks again everyone for your input. I think Im going to get the back vents and forget the other options. Cant wait to get it!! Ill post pics when it shows up.

Thanks for your help. How is performance effected by adding the inlets. Does any air leak out while on your belly that would effect the pressure inside the wing?
-
Im about to put in my order for my new Phantom tomorrow!! Im just curious about your thoughts on the options.(rear inlets, mylar inserts, base pouch). Ive heard mixed thoughts about the inlets around my DZ and was not aware the mylar inserts were an option. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

I had a few people talk about this in another post i had here. Does anyone know of people here in the States modifying the leg wing on the skyflyer by adding cells to make the stance wider. Im curious to how difficult and expensive this would be to do. Just curious if this would be worth getting into.

Im interested in doing this mod to the leg wing. Is this a common thing to do with the S1. If so, can you give me more info on who/where to have it done at.

Hey everyone. Well Im hooked. Over the last month or so I have been progressing/demoing various suits. Started out on the Prodigy/GTI and moved up to the Phantom and Acro. I have around 20 jumps on the latter two. I really want to order a new suit but am short on cash right now. I have a friend that wants to sell me his skyflyer for $200. I made a jump on it yesterday and really enjoyed it. I did notice the narrow leg stance but it wasnt really a big deal. My question is if you experienced pilots think this would be a good buy until i can save up some $$ for a new suit. Also, when i am finally able to order a new suit, im not sure on what to get. I really liked flying the Phantom and felt really stable with this suit. All of my buddies jump V1's and V2's. Would I have trouble flocking with them flying a phantom or would it be better to get the same suit as them? Thanks everyone for your input/help.

Thanks for the suggestions. My rigger currently has my rig i just havent had a chance to talk to him in about a week.

Ive had this rig for about 4 months now. When i first got it i noticed the elastic on the risers holding the toggles seemed a bit streched and worn out. The other day I had a brake fire on opening. Wasnt a big problem and was able to fix the problem quickly by unstowing the other toggle. I was curious to if it would be better to have the elastic replaced by my rigger or to just go ahead and by a new set of risers. The rig is a Jav and is about ten years old with close to 800 jumps on it. it has a new PD reserve and new lineset on the main. thanks for the input.

Do a search here.....anyway, call PD tell them the size of your slider and they'll recomend a new slider... buy it- night and day diff! PS- dont roll the nose after you put on the new slider from PD! I had a question on why not to roll the nose after the install of the new slider. I recently had my sabre relined and ordered a new slider from PD. I still roll the nose and openings are comparable to the ones with the old slider. Will my openings be softer if i stop rolling the nose with the new slider?? Thanks for the input.

Thanks for all the ideas. I have goals for the future. I just need the summer to chill for a bit.

Hey yall. so im still relatively new to the sport. 41 jumps (A licence). Here is the problem... Im graduating college with a business degree in about 2 months and i have a bit of a problem. I have no idea what I want to do and all i can think about (besides my next exam and graduating) is skydiving. I plan on spending the summer having fun and enjoying my new found love... but where do I go from there? any tips on life ecperience in similar situations would be appreciated.

Ive been jumping a friends SabreI for a few weeks now and due to my jump #s and experience and with the history of the SabreI openings, ive been very carful with packing. So far (knock on wood) ive done all recommended packing techniquies and have had good openings. definately different than the Spectre i was jumping before. Just a funny story... I saw a guy packing his shit last week while talking on his cell phone. I thought that stuff only related to driving cars but it was still funny. Oh yeah, a buddy of mine showed me a new way to quarter the slider on the SabreI. Try to put a bit more and create a pocket over the nose with the slider over the nose. The one jump ive done like that created a much slower opening.

Dude, Im so inspired by the revolution. What are you talking about. There are no pipes involved, just speed and space. Have you ever seen anyones' deploy sequece happen 20ft off the ground and still fly away from it. I have and yes... the revolution has begun.
