Yep, That would be it. Got It from Richard back in December. I know... the webpage is not updated that often. If this is the one you were looking at, sorry, but, I know he always has some good stuff on his hands. When I got the G4 he had a few other M0's that were either G3's or smaller/different colors than I wanted. Give him a ring.

I Bought a Mirage MO a few months back. I have an Optimum 143 which fits perfect in there. When I first got the container I was jumping a Sabre2 150. It fit in there just fine. I never felt like I was over stretching the container. I now have a Sabre2 135 in it and can barely tell the difference in pack volume. If its a good deal on the container I would definitely consider it. I love my Mirage! Attached is a pic when I had the 150 in there.

My Phantom 2, sadly lacking Campos..

So I need some help here. My first suit was a Phantom and I absolutely loved it. Thought it was time to move on so I bought a Ghost. Enjoyed the suit but it did not fit me well and took a bit of effort to fly. I use the analogy "Phatom felt like flying my body.....Ghost felt like flying a suit." I recently sold my Ghost and am in the market for a new suit. I have over 250 WS jumps and am leaning towards the Phatom 2 but feel I am on the fence as far as weight/build goes. I am 6' 185lbs right now but tend to be a bit lighter during the jumping(summer season). I love PF suits and plan on purchasing another of thier suits. My question is if I should by another Ghost fit to me better or go ahead and get the new and improved Phatom-2. I have heard nothing but good things about the new P-2 and wonder if with my skill level and size, should I look towards a bigger suit. My style of flying is small flock/acro/back-flying leading flocks. Any help from P-2 flyers and experience over the original would help Blues, JKL -

The right FF coaching is all over the place at every DZ. Learn from those that have more experience than you. I personally get better just by jumping with people much more experienced than me. It forces me to use my skills. Plus I have Jimmy-T on hand to help me out whenever I have questions. Jump, Jump, and Jump with those with experience. Tunnel never hurts either. have fun and learn from every jump. -
I have seen a few try these at my DZ with no probs. I did few jumps early on in my jumping days with vented ski pants. Not going to harm your free fall skills at all but not being designed for the sport will not benefit you. most guys I see using them are drouge throwers so It might be a different perspective. I fly much better with my new FF suit but it is not the most important thing to purchase right now. Spend the cash on jumjps and then worry about the clothes.

Ill go along with the past two posts and push for a Liquid Sky suit. I have bought FF pants, Swoop shorts, and recently a custom one piece suit from Julio and absolutely love them all. I personally like the one piece better and mine is a bit more form fitting but you can tell Julio exactly what you are looking for and he will make it to your liking.

Just posted on this same topic.... I truly enjoy jumping both rigs but have a personal liking to Mirage. Just so damn comfortable and clean. Dont even feel like I have a rig on my back (honestly scared the shit out of me the first jump or two). My one cutaway so far has been with a skyhook though and blew me away... Vector obviously has the pioneer of skydiving behind it. You will not go wrong with either container. I love Mirage but I love the Skyhook. I put the decision in your hands.

I have a good number of jumps on the newest Mirage and Vectors and can honestly tell you its a personal preference. Me, I choose Mirage just cause my "new to me" rig is sooo damn comfy without any extra padding but my buddies Vector (which is a bit small for me, but fully loaded) is still amazing to fly with. My one cutaway has been with the skyhook. I did not have time to even reach my reserve handle before i was under my reserve. . I personally like the way Mirage rigs look packed as far as fit a finish. The Vectors I have seen tend to have a wrinkled area between the main and reserve flap. Not a functional thing but I like a good, clean looking rig. I personally think that the Microns look better than the M- series. Take a look around your DZ. do some jumps on the harnesses. You cant go wrong either way.

I was on the flock with the guys playing video guy. The lights did not effect our night vision because you could turn on/off the lights from the power source (9V battery). I got some pretty cool footage from the flight of JVH1727. Its all on his camera and they are in Twin Falls right now. I'll get it posted as soon as they return.

To the OP of this thread, Thank you! I have a few jumps under my belt now but am still very new to swooping. I consider myself a coordinated and spatially aware person but have continued to take canopy courses from our local canopy coach (Jimmy-T). He has taught me so much but I still know I tend to rely on that "digital magic number" way too often. I will definitely put a lot more effort into my visual cues rather than relying on my alt after seeing this. Glad you walked away but I am also glad I am able to learn from stuff like this.

Brian, I have been packing my PS using a very quick technique someone taught me for the last year or so. No problems yet but I did the "bridle/horseshoe" test just a min ago and it bundled up in the BOC just like you said. I have a Mirage with the FF hacky tab and can sometimes be a pain to line up so that the bridle folds are on top of the tab rather than under. Hope this makes sense but if the bulk of the bridle is under the tab in the BOC, it won't rest flat against the bottom flap. Using your method, I have to rotate the PS around till it is aligned properly so that the bridle folds will match up. Any tips on packing this type of PS?

Navigator 290-210: Jumps 1-15: AFF and early student. Spectre 190 : Jumps 15-26 Sabre 170: Jumps 27-200 Sabre2 150: Jumps 201-280 Sabre2 135: Jumps 281-current Have experience on Samurai 170/150/136, Katana 135 and Crossfire 2 129 mixed in there. Want to fly a more eliptical canopy than the Sabre2 but want a reliably opening canopy for wingsuit. Love the Crossfire, Sabre2 has served me very well so far. -
Love the new suits PF is coming out with. James... with the release of all the -2 versions of suits coming out, can we expect to see a Ghost-2 and possibly V-3 in the near future. It seems that PF has found something with the "new and improved" inlets as far as inflation. I know the Ghost hasn't even reached its 1st birthday but I think the suit could benefit from the new style of inlets to make it even better.

I jumped a Sabre 170 for over 200 jumps. My last jumps on that canopy were still after 20-30 jumps on my new Sabre2-150. Buttery soft. I purchased a new slider from PD when I bought the canopy bu that thing opened as soft and more on heading than any Sabre2 I have jumped. My packing technique was to roll the nose and stuff the shit out of it into the pack job. It seems from other posts that the rolling is not as important as the stuffing. I know many of people that jump this canopy (cheap, forgiving) as their first wing and is such a good choice. I have no regrets on jumping that canopy and would jump one any day. I jump a Sabre2-135 now just cause I can afford it better and I am starting to get into swooping. As said before....Jump it if you can. Each to their own. Each canopy has a different personality. JL

Video explanation of Wingsuit flight is the best I have seen. Anyone trying to explain the difference between skydiving and wingsuit flying should refer people to this video. Great website. Bummed I missed my opportunity to fly an S-FLy in PR. How hard is it to get a demo here in the states. I am interested in the difference in the monowing design. -

I was one day away from ordering my "perfect" new rig at about 60 jumps. That night my friend called me selling his used but totally FF/WS ready Jav. I bought it just for the fact that I could afford the entire thing w/o going into any debt. Yeah, it wasn't my colors, but it fit, it was cheap, and was the best decision I made as far a gear purchases. That rig served me for over 200 jumps and got me to a point to where I understand the gear I want a lot more. I recently bought a "new to me" Mirage. I consider myself a current jumper with almost 400 mumps in under 3 years but have sought much canopy/FF coaching. If you see yourself not jumping on not such a regular basis, It may be a good option to order that Wings at such a good discount. at that rate you may end up spending some time under the 210-240 range. I myself made over 200 jumps in my first year and a half and was ready to jump the 170-190 range by that time. I hate using the general "talk to your instructors" advise but it is good advise. It has served me well and they will have far more experience and better advice than I do. I am just giving you my personal experience. Good luck and be safe. I saw one of my buddies do this before a BASE jump just to show the importance of body position. I later tried it myself with a fully tightened rig and in fact, is not hard at all to slip off a tightened rig in the right position. On all FF jumps I make sure I have a bungee/pull cord between my legstraps. Why don't more manufactures offer a "fancy pants"option. Another friend of mine jumps all the time with his and loves it.

So I see that PF has reinvented the intake system on their newest suits. The Ghost used and improved upon the tried and true shoulder/abdomen inlets of the Phacro/V-2 while trying out a new leg wing intake system. I see the new Phantom-2 uses the same full length arm inlet and "improved" leg system used on the Stealth. For those that have flown these newer suits, is this system any large improvement? I know that Tony's suits have been know for solid pressurization. I am still a true believer in the PF line and hope that this change will put them right back at the top in this criteria. I currently fly, and love, the Ghost but have been tempted at times back to the Phantom for its "user friendly" flight characteristics. I did a full length/max performance flight the other day for a friends school project in my Ghost wearing a GPS and was totally burnt out by 5K. I felt like a puss. I also spend a lot of my flight time on my back. Is this new inflation system superior to the old system as far as pressurization.? I have seen many pics of the Stealth now, but none on its back. I see many pilots flying the Tony Suits on their backs, not necessarily at full tension but with strong inflation. . . How would you compare for those that have flown the two manufactures? Thanks Jarno, The bigger wings of the Ghost definitely added some difficulty to the flight. As you said, I finally relaxed on this flight and was able to achieve some decent fall retes. SM1 flyers seem to have so much wing area that they can fly in the lazy boy position that i originally posted but can still slow up enough to stay with the flock. I am still wondering about the inflation of the wings though. I absolutely love PF suits. My question is with how inflation has to deal with fall rate. You look at pics of SM1s and they are solidly inflated on belly and back. S-flys dont necessarily inflate but footage has shown that these suits perform just as well or better than the competition when terrain flying. Does the pressurizations of the wings really affect the fall rate or is it just the drag of the material out that slows you down?

So still perfecting the correct position. My friend taking these pics says its the best I have flown on my back on this suit. (still room for improvement) The "pooch" i mentioned before is still there even with a more De-arched position. Is this bagginess affecting my flight or is it just add 20 pounds to my Physique in pics. Not worried about the look but more concerned with my efficiency on my back. Also, The wings still seem to lack inflation on its back. I can't imagine how a better body position would increase this to how it inflates when flying belly-to-earth. thanks for the input.
