Yuck! I don't like tan lines. I HATE burn lines even more. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

My grandpa has been in the hospital for quite some time due to lung problems. He has been in intensive care for a few weeks, and he could not be taken off oxygen for more than a few seconds at a time. A few of the doctors there basically said that he wasn't going to live much longer, and that he should begin to get his affairs in order. I go and visit my grandpa frequently. Whenever I go, he never complains about being in the hospital (even on Christmas.) He asks me how things are going, and he tries to keep up with what's going on. He'll tell me about his health status, but he doesn't complain. We'll joke about how Bush is an idiot. Sometimes, he tells me a story that relates to something I've done recently. Throughout all of this, he never really complained. My sister-in-law actually works his floor, and she was telling us how all of the nurses love him. He knows them all rather well by now! He always tries to find out more about them, and we'd hear random stories about how one nurse used to teach in South Bend, and another nurse went to church where there good friend Bob used to be in the choir. He is interested in their lives, and he makes them smile. Yesterday, my grandpa was finally moved out of ICU!!!! He is in his own room! He is breathing remarkably well now, and it looks like he may actually be able to come home at some point (something that we never thought would happen.) Now, there is of course no proof that his positive attitude had anything to do with his recovery, but it never hurts. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

And, isn't that a personal attack? Isn't calling someone something a negative term an attack by the most common definition used here? I've jumped with her on her belly. She flies her slot. (She just happens to kick major booty in her sit, though.) I'm just sad that what was once a "Oh, hey! Look, we're a bunch of people that are friends online getting together to jump!" has turned into, "Look! We're technically the biggest!" Having a dropzone.com record doesn't do mcuh for anyone after the fact. However, it does defeat the purpose of a community when you include people who don't participate. Also, just because they're famous they fall under different rules?????? There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Many sites are strictly information, and you don't see the people who read them getting together to celebrate it. Without the posters, there would never be a dropzone.com record to speak of, hence I don't see the point of lurkers in a record. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

This is BY FAR the most logical post in this thread. I'm sorry, but the record is probably well above 20 then. Almost every skydiver I've met with a significant amount of jumps has bought or sold gear with this site. They're not a part of the community. Why should lurkers be involved? Yeah, you can read all the time, or you could've signed up once long long ago. There's no way to tell. This has become ridiculous. The last record was about getting together with people you "know" online and making some jumps. It was about putting faces to the names. This record will be easy enough to break. I'll just register everyone that's on JFTC. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

That's a really good idea! I worked at a Crisis Center for 2 1/2 years, so it's something that I could do. I just talked to my local Red Cross, and I guess you need to have two years of training before you can help with international disasters. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Just a question I'm throwing out there. My guess is that even in March, they're still going to need help. I don't have a job, so I'm considering going out there to help if they need it. I'm not a nurse or have any skills such as that, so I won't be quite as valuable, but I'm guessing they still need people to help clean up, etc. Has anyone done something like that before? Would I go through the Red Cross to see if they need volunteers out there? There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

I will match donations to the Red Cross International Relief Fund.

Actually, we were talking about it at the last camp. There were quite a few dropzone.commers there. I was just waiting until they accidentally through a ton of us together! Congrats again! I see Remi in it! He's the only one I could spot. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

I figured as such, but it is possible to love someone even if you're not in love. Even when a person "falls out of love," they can still love the person they were with....even when that other person is still in love. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

I agree that most true love must be mutual (especially romantic love since that involves such a level of intimacy.) However, not all love is mutual. The day my nephews were born, I loved them instantly. They weren't capable of love, so it went unreciprocated. I got nothing in return of loving them. That love isn't exactly mutual, but it's not less because it isn't. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

I ate a donut. I just set it up with my sister-in-law to take my youngest nephew to Gymboree. I'm about to donate to the Disaster Relief. I discovered the meaning of life.
