They're in person for right now. She's going to be coming out with an instructional dvd in a year or two, so I'll definitely give that as a suggestion to her! Thanks, Mel!!! You are so sweet! Also, another cool little story from last night.... We have our regulars in class, and there are a few people who I recognize that show up every now and then. Last night, a woman that I had never seen before was in class, so I introduced myself to her, and she started chatting with us regulars for a bit. Class started, and I tend to glance over at people because it's neat to see everyone move. I look over at the "new" lady, and she is an amazing dancer!!! We chatted with her some more after class and found out that she teaches at a Chicago suburb and has been dancing for years. Her mom even danced. She said that she's been wanting to actually take some classes again, and she had been doing a tour of the Chicago schools. She was really impressed with my instructor, and she thought that we were the friendliest! So, she purchased a 10-class block!

Me, too! I took a ton of dance lessons growing up (even had the opportunity to learn from some Chicago big names), but bellydancing is by far my favorite dance that I have ever done. Oooh! That sounds like so much fun!!!! My instructor has "costume clinics" where she teaches everyone how to make certain things. It's a lot of fun, and it saves me money! Yes, if we meet we should shimmy together!

This is as though someone said, "Here you go. Take this money and go make a fun jump!" Recently, my instructor asked me to perform at an upcoming hafla. I was flattered, and, of course, I agreed to. I've been practicing to a drum solo that I love, and I've been trying to find a top that matches some harem pants that I made (err...assisted my mom sewing.) I do like some accents (English, and I'm sure there are others), but there are accents I dislike as well (southern, and I'm sure there are others.) Bump I love coffee. I try to avoid caffeine (someone broke it for awhile.) Days like this, though, the sweet elixir from Starbucks with a little cream and sugar in my mouth gives me hope that I can make it through the whole day without having to go to my car to take a nap.
