I just steamed up my coworker's car windows!!!

That was funny! (well, to me at least. And be jealous...I had really good baklava for dessert! ) I should've looked messier when I came back in. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning -
I just steamed up my coworker's car windows!!!

After our lunch in which he skipped his meeting to go to with me, we started driving back towards our office. He has the best taste in music ever! The song that came on a few minutes after we first got lost was, "I Think I Love You," so we started singing loudly. We continued to get even more lost while singing "Baby Got Back." As we finally made it back to our office, we really belted out "Like a Prayer." I took Madonna, and he took the back up singers for the end. I steamed up his windows. What will our coworkers think? Ahhh....dissociative disorder. That makes sense. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Okay, for argument's sake, let's say that she is telling the truth. That's the situation I'm curious about. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Okay, the cheating on the spouse thing was just an example. Like I said, it was a bad one! Another example is let's say that once a month, a mother cusses out her children and has no recollection of it. How do things like that happen? There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Good. My grandpa might have lung cancer due to second hand smoke. I'm all for people's rights when it doesn't infringe on anyone else. Smoking in public does infringe on others rights to health. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

For every event that you're proud of, there is a gruesome act to also speak of. People in our country have done some amazing things. People in other countries have done amazing things. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

You rock, Rosa! You are so sweet, and I love our chats!

Me, too. I just happened to be born in America, and my family just happens to live here. If I was born in Ireland, I would be any less fortunate to the country that I lived in. They have certain advantages over America. If someone gets killed in America or anywhere else, it makes me equally sad. No, I really don't understand why people are "proud" to be Americans. Other countries have freedoms we don't have and vice versa. America just happens to be the place where I grew up. Many of the things that my parents' taxes paid for while growing up I could've received elsewhere. It may be a great country, but there are others. It's not the best country in the world. It has advantages over other countries, but they have advantages over us. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

You did??? I don't remember that! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

This is the part that I get confused with. Let's use the cheating example. If it's something that happens often, how can each of those incidents be forgotten as an adult? I know a few people that can't remember a time period around a specific traumatic event, but what about multiple events? Maybe I should stop sleeping with the soap opera network on! Well said. Everything is what you make of it. The WFFC is where everybody knows your name, and they're always glad you came! The WFFC is where someone is bound to sleep in your tent, even if it's not you! The WFFC is the place of non-stop smiling! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

No, there are instances of adults forgetting traumatic experiences. I imagine that an adult can forget things like that, too. It's bizarre, but I think it can happen. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Well, it was just an example! I'm just curious as to how adult repressed memories work. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Well, if they don't remember it, and they deny it ever happened...isn't that denial? Yay! Semantics! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Yay! I confused Paul! Okay, a really bad example. Let's say a 30 year old man cheated on his wife once a month for ten years. A few years later after the cheating slowed down quite a bit, he doesn't remember ever cheating on his wife. I'm just curious as to why that happens. I don't understand it at all! C'mon, Paul! Like anyone can forget me!!!! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

I read something about this long ago in one of my psych classes, but I don't remember all of the details. So, if anyone out there can shed some light on this, that would be great! It's obviously possible for someone to forget a frequent occurrence in their life. I guess I'm just curious about why it happens (besides the obvious "trauma" answer.) I was also curious about how likely it is for a person to remember them. Adding on: I'm also referring to memories from adulthood that are repressed. I know that repressed memories happen more with childhood experiences. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

I spent 2 1/2 years volunteering at a crisis center. I donate money to charity. I'm trying to help out at the women's shelter. I'm helping my country by trying to make it more peaceful. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

There are events that make me "proud" for lack of a better word. There are people in history that I admire. However, as a whole, I would not look at America's history and feel pride. It's not as though we've had a such a terrific history with minor bumps here and there. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
