Rook does some really cool stuff in that video, and the 69 way is amazing to watch, the Freeflying in that video is nasty..so if I were you I would "get sick" and get home to the finer things in life

Children of The Corn is an amazing DVD. That is the newest flying I know of yet that is for sale on DVD right now in the masses. I have watched it like 10 times now...great with a 6 pack and friends

Although DanG makes some good points, overall, about deeming this safe or not, I feel it is safe, since there is just so much runway to deal with, even going down wind. Downwind take-offs are something I know nothing about, and I am sorry for this post, but looking at the most important factor, amount of space and time to lift off, that is plenty from the information you provide. I used to jump at a DA in AL that has a grass run-way and power lines on ends, eh...about 20 feet high I suppose but that twin otter, and caravan packed ALWAYS was airborne in less than helf the allocated runway space regardless of winds, and direction into the wind. Hope that helps. seems OK to me.

Thanks for the reply man. Its is a sad day to see so many people on this thread defend such an already cloudy subject turing towards what you and I both are getting at, as well as personell in engineering with multiple PhD's in the field of science, and man..this thing had better get the exposure...I cant seem to get this video to work, at work for me but I am going to look at it again when I get home.

One thing that is really sad is that if this thing is proved to be factual, about the Bush administration and the collapse of the towers, is what happened to all those poor people who were moved to another flight? Where did they go, and what did the government do with them? Some project? I have had this conversation with a good friend and I am honestly, glad to see this comes up on this site, as well as in the news, most importantly. I am so sick of the lies and bull shit that people believe. I don’t like Obama because I am simply a republican. That’s all I need to say, and that’s all that matters. But now that he is in office, and Bush is out, I am so relived in many ways that no republican could have ever done for this country, and full exposure about this "conspiracy" or what any of you may make of it, the towers were designed to withstand fire and flames. BOTH buildings were evacuated a day before the attacks, and THAT is documented already. It was for a "security sweep" and all I am thinking is professional demolitions experts rigged the girders and frame and fucking ignited it. The airplane footage is only from one or two main angles anyways, and honestly, how could anyone really "see" the airplanes from all the angles and blind spots in the cluttered city of New York where buildings are everywhere, and some airplane cruising at 300 knots out the corner of your eye? Yeah right. No way! Lastly, and I will be finished with what I have come to agree on, is what about the Pentagon? Is there NO footage of any other camera in such a secure, and dense military area of a fuckin’ 747 over head heading b-line to the Pentagon?!!! Really? There was not even any physical evidence of an aircraft hitting the building, and again, NO FOOTAGE!!! What? And just like the WTC’s, the Pentagon under-went a “security sweep” that was all documented and the few people that went in just did a sweep? Yeah, right. Look at the size of the hole that it left. Small in comparison to the Massive damage a 747 would have done to that building like it did the WTC...a much for structurally sound design, and I tell you what…its all fucked, and nobody wants to believe it because its too “out-there” and they couldn’t believe that their own government would do something like that… WHATVER MAN!!!

Dude...this thread is old, the story is posted elsewhere...sighhhhh....really? Just to let you know, some people hate talking about this, as they just think it is not going to happen, its super expensive, and some people have just beat this thing into the ground. Google it, or just search the "forums" in that little search bar on the top right hand corner of the page. Take care man.

It is again, OK for the rig to separate itself from your back a little bit; it’s a natural arch/bend in your spin that does not care how well the rig fits. You can have it modified if you show Ward Hessing pictures of it in freefall, or have someone pull it the way it does in freefall on the ground, send it to him, and he will chop some of the in-set stabilizers off it to make it tighter. I bought the G4 when I was 185 pounds in Iraq. I got out and am now a smaller body type jumping the rig that was made for 20 more pounds of extreme muscle. What I am saying is I got fitted "bigger" than what I am now ~160 pounds, and sometimes, it does come off the back a tad, but all in all, its not going anywhere and its totally safe my friend. 386-740-9222 . That should help you out. Give em' a call since you paid that good money for such a great rig...they will most likely do it at no cost and quick turn around time too ; ) Wade

Man...thats a great option you have..but as far a I know..unless you have the elastic option it's just somethin they got deal with and not WORRY about...
-
To the OP, it happens to me all the time. You are not going to loose your rig in a total malfunction, and all will be safe. These rigs ARE great for freeflying and you should feel good about it, and not worry about the cosmetics. Contact Ward Hessing at Mirage. He will help you for more than I feel anyone on here will for specific questions. Again, for the general problem, you are fine. You body contorts more than the cumbersome rig will any day, and it’s not a specific mold to your flexible body anyways. Even if you get it fitted, like mine is as well, a little shifting in harness, and sticking out a little on your back is common place in sit fly positions and with other rigs besides Mirage. Keep that on mind. You didn’t waste your money. It will hold its shape and integrity longer than most rigs out there will, so be glad you have a G4. I know people that would give all their present gear for such a solid container like Mirage. ~EW

Oh yea...hot spice and delight...warm anal beads tonight..the soul mate never fears a little feces in the lime light...

This is going to be great~! This band is awesome, and the swoop-n-chug is just another reason we have so many coming out already. Cheapest jumps on the East Coast. Hands down. PAC-750 and a CASA!! See you there. I got a message last night from my friends in Delmarva and 2-3 more freeflyers are coming out to yet again set the standard for VA Freefly and a possible state record attempt. The Kegs have already been ordered too!! Soooo excited!!! This is going to be THE Spring Boogie for 2009!

Great bang for the buck. Thats what this is for. Just quick, on-site video provided to you quickly. Nice footage, mate!

VFS 100 Way World Record Tryouts at Skydive Arizona
EXTremeWade replied to amychmelecki's topic in Freeflying
I arrive in PHX at 7:17pm on Friday. Leave the 11th early at 6:45 am. Anyone, let me know the deal. I can split rides too. Sounds like a good idea. Split a team room too? Knocks out a place to sleep and provides a place to pack. pm for cell. -
Mr. Bones...my whole work center just looked at me as I laughed out fukin loud. I can see it now. Harry in the back of his white Yukon, with children’s toys astray, when suddenly someone looks over and sees an old man, graying in some areas ( oh fuck yea) stuffing fecal covered anal beads in the pipe, while fisting a hot cheeseburger up his ass...as he falls out of the trunk at the wind tunnel parking lot at Raeford. Sick bastard...kids toys spilling everywhere….hahah!!!
-
Harry I will get back to you about those prices. I would say the standard 20.00 per slot. Ofcourse, its wade guessing again...careful...
-
Yes. I can see myself going to both. It’s just that Raeford was really where it all started for me, and a lot of friends I have live there, and on top of that boogie, it could be hard to resist. I am looking forward to flying with you regardless, and Harry too. There is a lot of talent in the eastern shores area (NJ< MD< VA< DC< NC< SC< GA) so again, East Coast Free fly is just going to be blowing up this summer. I am very, very excited to start this season...
-
Man I don’t. I currently have a bomber, but its too baggy and its giving out. I just had to add that I just bought a suit from Matter. Its going to fit "tight" and I am looking forward to that! All custom of course, and right at 300 bucks for their fully loaded, custom 5 stripe pro-concept design. I had to take like 20 measurements. This thing should fit AWESOME!!!
-
Thats what I am saying...
-
People sometimes quickly jump to the fact that you need it at 2.0-2.4 for great results...damn bro...chill out
-
Yea Yea. I dont even think people still jump these around the VA/NC area.
