I wish, as usual my job gets busy right for the fun events. I'm not going to be able to come free for a couple day holiday until late may/early june. until then I cant take any time off.
-
yeah its so nice I bought it twice. I had a phantom 1 as my first suit. Got to the point I wanted a new suit and couldn't find anything that worked better for me. I'm tall and lanky, and found I could slow it down to 40mph decent, so getting a larger wing just meant if I ever flocked my hand would be on my ass. (i prefer flying my suit, go figure)

hey, I'm always happy to whore out to any wingsuit company that wants some cool shit made. I'm above all the brand war shit that goes on
-
and no... I did not forget the sacred campos enjoy
-
a year later and a new suit means I have to top last years nerdiness -yes, its cloudy -yes I'm bored and yes - absolutly --I can be hired and payed in wingsuits (thats a special note to all you wingsuit manufactures reading ;) ) thanks to phoenix fly and morpheus for yet another pleasant experience
-
not as bad as the kung-fu kick to the head you suffered at f&d 3.5 anyway
-
at least I think thats what every wingsuiter is waiting for.

I'm just suprised no ones jumped on the translation of wingsuits as "special dresses"

finally set up my camera helmet. still a bit of fine tuning to do, but happy so far bonehead optik sony cx-7 cookie box get hypoxic d connector concentric ring site. looking forward to testing it out on my florida trip through all the puffy clouds
-
fair enough, missed that one. thanks for the heads up. I'm in the camera forum alot so I thought I would have seen it had it been discussed

I've got a bonehead optik that has a cx-7 topmounted in a cookie box (not much room for anything but the cam), and am about to install my hypeye d pro. just wondering how you guys are routing them? I guess I could screw externally with two drill holes next to the button, then route the cords through the inside of the helmet and pop out where it needs to connect to the cam, but with the size of the connecter I would have to drill pretty big holes to fit not just the size of the cord, but the half round connector as well. just wondering if anyone else has examples to show? I guess I'll also have to cut the cookie box as I cant close the case with the hyp plug into the camera. Any good ways to cut carbon fiber? dont want to go pockmarking my helmet so I'm trying to get it right in concept before I cut anything. thanks

well I've got my vacation booked already, and am looking forward to some amazing cloud flights. so hopefully some of you zhills birds will be around then
-
I had to turn in my vacation request dates for the year, so in hoping it was the same as last year I've booked off Oct 1st-7th to come down and jump the puffy clouds. for those zhill folks, any idea on if I'll be lucky enough to actually hit the .5 flock dates?
-
spend some time searching the forums and reading the video forum, theres a lot of info out there, spend some time looking for it. I ended up getting a top mount with a sony cx-7 with a raynox .5 hd lens and like it so far, though I just started jumping it recently.

right, but they both fly super mach ones. Skill gets max performance out of a suit, but I think the body type comments usually are to try and help people be comfortable (usually in a flock) so sure a big heavy guy can fly a phantom, and can rock it, but he might have an easier time flocking in a ghost/sm1/stealth kind of suit, where as a tall skinny guy would have an easier time flying that phantom comfortably in a flock. thats partly what keeps me in a slightly smaller winged suit, I'm tall and lanky, so if I go out and fly a super big winged suit I feel like I'd have my hands on my ass the whole time just to stay down with the flock, whereas my phantom has a really nice range where I can fly in a flock comfortably, and still punch out when we do performace cloud runs.

I dont think I'll ever see a sight as pretty as when the pilot drops you on jumprun with 1 wing in a cloud that goes from 13,000 all the way down to the dz, which is was zhills remains my favorite wingsuit dropzone, its the place I've had the most number of those types of flights.

I jumped my cx7 in a cookie box on the weekend and had a raynox 5050 on it, no problems fit wise.

arai replied to mccordia's topic in Wing Suit Flying
looks like a tight finish. Tony suits ahead but the phoenix fly team could win if they beat 10 points on the final round (3 teams still awaiting scores) -
when its raining this hard its up to my imagination to get my wingsuit fix. hopefully the weekend will be better blue skies Dan

What features do you want when buying a camcorder?
arai replied to sky-pimp's topic in Photography and Video
thats the one thing that made me stop and think about the cx7, I really would have liked to have been able to copy from other skydivers at the end of the day, without lugging around a laptop. I ended up ordering it anyway, but really wish that had been included -
wow thats gotta be your fastest turn around yet. great shots

he was convinced It was the cx-7, I asked him, "are you sure its this camera, its only been out a year, there hasnt been a replacement named, this camera, memory stick only... blah blah" and he said yep, that floor model is the last one. after that no more. I have a feeling he is just incompetent, but thought I'd check here to see if anyone else had heard anything
-
I was suprised myself, and wouldnt have posted this had this not come from a salesman at a sonystore. (though I still question it with the quality of salesman at these types of stores)
-
went in to my local sony store today and the salesman told me that they didnt have any in stock, and that they wouldnt be getting any in stock as the model has been discontinued. I havent heard of a successor to the cx-7 be announced yet so I'm curious about being discontined after not even a year in production. anyone heard about the possible replacements?
