  4. now this has probably been talked about before , if so please point me to the link So video cameras , there are a lot out there , what i keep askin myself is why do people fly with a video cam and a stills cam. why not just pull stills of the video footage and have less clutter with you in the air ? is it because there is not a good enofe product (video cam) on the market ? or do most have a setup they like and do not want to replace it ? YeHaaaaaaaaaaa

  8. Ouch dislocating is painfull .. the best advice is see your doctor !!!! that should be true , i dislocated on my 4th jump under canopy . had it put back in then had 10 month till i could jump again .. i did quite a bit of phyciso and durring my rehab it did pop out very breifly a couple of time .. on going back to the doctor and asking if i was fit enofe to resume jumping , the reply i got was .. "do you think you are fit enofe" .. to be honest i was ok but his attitude made me nerves so i went in a wind tunnel first to check that it felt ok under near free fall condistions ... in my extensive research on skydiving and dislocations , the most prominent thing that came out of it was , DO NOT get operated on unless you really have no choise .. so i concentrated on building strengh in my shoulder and cancelled my opperation (i was booked for an op because it was my second diclocation) . hope this is of help YeHaaaaaaaaaaa

  22. Yes i would as it would make no differance to my employment even if i had a accident. BUT last year a i went on a stag do with a close friend , he works for a bit telecomunicastions company ... i came up with the idea of him and the rest of the gang doing tandems , so it would be some thing we could talk about for years. His company told him that he could not do it as if he had a brake , he would not be payed and if he was of to long he would just have to be replaced . so on that not it was dropped .. YeHaaaaaaaaaaa
  23. HI ok i know it has been discused quit a few time but it is still a gray area . after looking all over this is what i came up with 1/ i am insured (travel) with axa who do not do a bolt on cover for your rig , and only cover one item to £200 . so not much cop there . (they are not taking on any new travel cover for skydiving) 2/ i read a thread where someone covered there rig with Harrison baumont (i think thats how its spelt!) .HB anyway , its good cover for all possible situations , new for old if your rig is less than 12 months old when you take the policy out. and your covered even if you have to dump and loose ya main .Only thing not covered is if you leave it in an unattended car that is not on a DZ. but the cost is not cheep at £262.50 3/ if also read that you could cover it on ya house insurance . so i'm with the halifax , my house insurance had ran out so i checked it out . turnes out that they will cover it as a special item up to what the value of ya rig is for any situatuation , 60days use abroad . and if you chop . i told them it was 2 item to the value of £5000.00. i live in a mid terrace 2 bed , ect ... the cost was £228.00 i thought that was a good deal . and now when i fly off to the states tomorrow i can have peace of mind that if something happens to my fav toy (not sure i should call it a toy). someone else will get the bill .. I anyone has any other insurance info , travel or gear . Let me know as i'm keepin a log to help us all YeHaaaaaaaaaaa
